• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

Me and my pal played this recently for laughs. We ended up finishing the whole game and being like... Okay not half bad. Gameplay was decent. Story was... BTW, while I can understand wanting to play it solo (I do except when my GF plays with me which is rare these days) you should still consider doing public events that aren't too high level when others are doing them. You're technically on a team so you can see their location better, and if you succeed (most are really hard to fail) you'll get XP as well as bunch of random junk and aid items you will be able to use at your low level. Maybe even a rare cosmetic if you are really lucky. I'm still trying to get several that can only drop from events, and I've put nearly 3000 hours into this game. I'm also doing more public events than I used to because they drop Treasury Notes after completing the Wastelanders quest line, which is required for a lot of new plans that they added that will take forever to get every one I want on each character since none of them can be traded.

Some things I'm finding out; bobble heads are different now. I'm not sure I like that they only last a certain amount of time instead of being permanent like previous games. Seems like a lot of the times just scrapping a weapon is better than selling it.

I like the new overencumbered system. Since Fallout games have things all over the place that you can pick up, it's not as big a deal now when you are carrying too much stuff. Cool change.

I ran into a glitch where I wasn't able to equip any kind of grenades. I ended up dying because I needed more firepower but couldn't equip them.

I don't like that you can't just equip items in real time. I have to push up on the d-pad and bring up that wheel. I wish they would go back to the way other games had it.

I don't know if I mentioned it before but I was able to find a couple different addictols and so I won't be having a problem with alcohol anymore.

It's pretty annoying that pausing a game does not really mean the game is paused. I forgotten about this a couple of different times and came back to either a very thirsty or hungry person or my character being attacked. I guess that's the price you pay for having an always-online game.

I'm at level 20 and my lockpick skill is still only at 1. I really wish you were able to upgrade that skill faster.

I'm finding that I don't really need to carry food as I seem to find it often. I'm getting used to the new systems and stuff and overall I do like the game but just some of the changes I mentioned earlier I don't like or am having a hard time adjusting to.

Yeah, I don't use bobbleheads often. I used to sell them until I realized I need to use a bunch for an Atom challenge, so know I keep them all. Eventually you'll be picking up enough stuff to sell that you will always want to scrap weapons and armor for their junk. I sell a ton of bulk steel to other players in my vendor, it's one of my biggest sellers. The higher your Intelligence, the more steel you can get from scrapping, as well as plastic if a weapon has it. The Int. perk Scrapper also boosts the yield. It's also how you learn a large portion of mods for both weapons and armor, while some mods will require you to read a plan.


Hah, I've never heard of someone liking being overencumbered.


Interesting, I've never actually had that bug, though I almost never use grenades even though I carry nuka grenades with me.


Yeah, it's something you'll have to get used to. You'll learn to use the wheel quickly, and the pipboy as well. The pipboy will pop up faster if you change views with the view button. You can also rename weapons and armor (maybe other items) when you use the inspect menu option, so you can move important stuff to the top.


Yeah, I'd be sure to have at least one on you or in your sash, though it is hard to get addicted. I only have been addicted to alcohol, and only when chugging a bunch because it is a daily or weekly atom challenge.


Yeah, that's another thing to get used to. If you idle, you want to be somewhere safe. Your camp can be pretty safe, if you have turrets placed well and they aren't sniping them from a mile away. You can also idle in safe instanced places, like the wayward. Keep in mind if you are outside the safe zone that is around vault 76, it is always possible you could be nuked. There i a perk that you can get in charisma that makes your meters drain slower while at a workshop or camp.


Lockpick and Hacking perks are different for some stupid reason. You don't rank them up, you have to get a new perk and therefore swap multiple perks if you don't want them taking up slots all the time. Expert Picklock unlocks at level 19, so that is what you need. Master Picklock will be the next one, somewhere around level 40.


Yeah, food is easy to come by, especially if you kill lots of animals and take their meat. I don't carry much food, even though two of my characters have the backpack mod that reduces food and drink weights by 90%. If you stick with it, you'll eventually get used to most of the changes. If you're like me you'll still bitch about the stupid things though. []

Grabbed Shadow Tactics since it is leaving Game Pass the end of this month. I only played it a little, but I really liked it.

And I forgot that I own a disc copy until you mentioned the game here. It doesn't have a manual in the case. Instead, there is a card that explains what all the button assignments are on the controller. Pretty neat.

Remember when Youtube was first getting big and people would make fake trailers for movies that don't exist? Some of them were super cool and that is how I feel about the Ghostbusters 3 sequel trailer. It was fun to watch but I don't know if it should be a real movie.

Is Ghostbusters remastered worth buying if I've already got the 360 version on digital? Reviews look mixed with some positive nostalgia (which I concur with - I played it a decade ago when it came out) and lots of negatives (bug-riddled, lack of multilayer, negligible graphics upgrade).

I talked myself out of the Splinter Cell sale (Ha!) last week, and I think I've talked myself out of this.

The only things I might pick up are:

Bioshock Collection (I've got it on disc but I kind of want to convert it to digital)

DmC (another digital conversion from 360 disc)

Journey to the Savage Planet (this is a huge maybe. I can't tell if I want this or just wait for a solid sale on The Outer Worlds.)

I could use some plastic curses if you're just handing them out. The only reason I havent bought Rock Band 4 is because Inwouldnt be able to use my Beatlea RB guitar with it until I find an adapter

I've been eyeing the adapter for years and have only seen it go up. Never, ever going to buy it at those prices, so I dusted off the 360 and learned how to import custom songs into RB3. It is STUPID easy.
