• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

I'll be honest, I have looked very little into Biomutant and know next to nothing about it besides third person action game. With that all said I am over 40 hours into Yakuza 5 and over 10 hours into Dragon Quest XI, I can wait for the Game Pass lords to gain enough sacrifices before it is on there for me to see the hype.

That's last weeks sale, however if anyone didn't get them yet, it's a nice reminder...the only tables I'm mssing now ist williams tables 6... and it will probably the last one i ever buy, since he the pinball fx will not integrate your already bought tables this time...which I kinda understand but I spent more than enough on these in the past years...

I was lucky enough to get all for pinball fx2 however since I never downloaded the windows 10 version there is still a DLC i can never finish...

I'm hoping against hope they do some kind of discount on tables you previously purchased. Somehow. Probably won't happen, but it would be nice. Star Wars Pinball on the Quest is a blast, but they built it in Unreal rather than their own engine (just as the new game will be), and it definitely seems like they're still learning the ins and outs. It's not as polished feeling, so I'll likely hold off on the new one for a while. So it's nice to complete the collection in PFX3.

What kind of ps3 repair did you have them do? Did you have a limited edition system or backwards compatible one that made it worth repairing?

I've got a gun metal gray Metal Gear system with YLOD and no matter how cool it looked when I first got it I'm not sure I can justify dropping that kind of cash on repairs. Part of the issue is I still have 3 other working ps3s sitting around so repairs seem less crucial when hoarding can bypass the need.

It is backwards compatible. It wasn't reading DVDs/PS2 games and they had to replace the laser assembly/adjust laser and they cleaned the internals. If I had the YLOD I would try to see if they could work their magic on it.

Has the feature rolled out to see what games are currently in quick resume state? I’m in Alpha ring and haven’t noticed it or don’t know how to use it if it’s there.

Audio Passthrough also gets a call out when in use. Look at your groups, there's a new one there for Quick Resume.

Talking about console repairs reminds me I have a modded 360 that's dead as a door nail, it just won't turn on anymore. Not sure how to go about getting it repaired, doubt any shop would touch it.

I almost bought The Sinking City – Necronomicon Edition, until I remembered there is an optimized version that is way more expensive. I'll wait. Guess the girlfriend gets to round out her Sims 4 DLC. Those last three packs she needs have never been 50% off, unlike the rest. Give her an excuse to play with the quick resume feature, it is such a life changer for that game.

Not really the same thing, as this stuff is intentional but thought I'd point out hitting the Xbox Guide button has also been fixing my issue where for whatever reason Call of Duty Black Ops 120fps option goes "disabled" instead of "enabled". Basically it's not running in 120fps mode go out to main menu hit the guide button and close it again, go back into settings now 120fps is enabled again. I'm sure just a quirk but could be triggering something.

It sounds like you already got your answer, but yes, they are both wonderful games, Mega Man 9 is one of the best in the original style series.

I would recommend the Legacy Collection 2 over the 360 versions since it includes all the DLC and some minor quality of life improvements, like checkpoints for saving. The original 360 releases don't have them, and so they are a little bit more challenging.

Anyone know if the first Torchlight ever goes on sale; I couldn't find any sale history on xbdeals. I never finished it on PC years ago.

Does it really even matter if these are played in any kind of order - which is best if I'll likely only get through one of them anytime soon?

It used to go on sale for $5 pretty regularly, yes. This was YEARS ago. No it does not matter if played in order at ALL. The 2nd one is definitely the best. People will be quick to point out that the PC version of TL2 with mods is the best experience, which it is, but I still feel the whole series is very enjoyable, yes even on console. Then again, I love me some ARPG Diablo-clones. But I really feel this series is one of the best alternatives in the genre.

Man, either that weekly sale went by lightning-fast or they didn't mean to put up Watch Dogs 2 Deluxe at that price, because it's back to $60.

I also wish Evoland: Legendary Edition went on sale more often. I missed it when it went up for sale in October and it hadn't been on sale since April of last year.

I think I'm going to spend the $3 for Titanfall 2 Ultimate. Both to support the wave of enthusiasm for the game and for those unlocks.

I would recommend both Torchlight 1 and 2, but play them in order more to enjoy the improvements. 2 with Steam Workshop is best, yes, and I would recommend 2 if you have time for only one.

I downloaded one of those updates and it seems like a week later there was ANOTHER huge update. I just uninstalled MCC so I do not have to see that ever.

Auto update flat out does not work at all. The games with updates works with some games. I have loaded that up seeing if there was a FH4 update and it says no updates available only to start up FH4 and have it close to update.

it's awesome when you have relatively slow net like me and you leave it going overnight to download whatever large game is needed for weekly quests and such and when you check in the morning it jumped all around and downloaded the wrong stuff and the large game is sitting there untouched

It sounds like you already got your answer, but yes, they are both wonderful games, Mega Man 9 is one of the best in the original style series.

I would recommend the Legacy Collection 2 over the 360 versions since it includes all the DLC and some minor quality of life improvements, like checkpoints for saving. The original 360 releases don't have them, and so they are a little bit more challenging.

Just adding on to the Mega Master’s recommendations, MM9 is amazing but also probably a bit of nostalgia awesome for me because MM2 and 3 were my favorites (and the only ones I had) on the NES growing up. Definitely feels like a direct sequel to those. MM10 is a little bit weirder, but also has an easy mode with no spike deaths and (if I recall correctly) a way to survive death pits or maybe just extra platforms.

I do agree w/ GGP though that the collection is probably the better way to go with all the DLC and save states, but if you don’t want to spend that much or just want 9/10 and not all the rest, hard to beat $2.

On a completely separate note, wanted to come here to share a couple MS Rewards app goodies I found (on console):

If you don’t have GP but game share w/ someone who does, you might have a punch card for FIFA 21 that says you need to subscribe to complete. You don’t have to. Just clicked all 3 buttons on my fiancé’s account and scored a free 1000 points. Also, there are currently 2 Destiny 2 punch cards, each requiring you to purchase 1000 Silver ($10, or less if you have GP) - not sure how long the Guardian Games one will be up since it says “1 day remaining” but if you have $10 and like buying cosmetics in D2, one single Silver purchase counts for both punch cards. Just be sure to activate them both before buying it directly from one of them, and then when you click into each it adds the check mark.

Finally, open to some suggestions for easy GamerScore games going forward. Many of the common ones are already done in my library. We need some new cheeseable games!

I do not know if they reversed the caps or not. I do know that a few months after half the town left them we got a letter from Comcast saying they would give us high speed 1 Gig internet at the same cost the towns fiber optics cost.

Yes, this gets game-related, because Health made the excellent soundtrack for Max Payne 3, which is sadly still not backwards compatible. One of the few games I bought the soundtrack for. Listening to it again, and it holds up. It really helped elevate what was already a really good game. You can listen to it on all the streaming services.
