• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

I have tried Flight Simulator 3 times now. The first time I tried the tutorial with the camera controls, it took me 20 minutes of having to restart and push the buttons over and over and over again to finally finish it and get the achievement. The next 2 times I have tried the next tutorial, she doesn't tell me how to move the plane to the taxi place and I don't even know where the next taxi place is. The game crashes. So I booted up again and just tried to do a flight but it crashed again when I was trying to learn the controls. Also, the load times are LONG. What happened to little to no load times for Series X games? Do I need to reinstall the game or something because so far, it seems to hate me.

I've seen some comments about crashes, but it's been rare for me. You might be in cursor mode. If you click LS, you bring up a cursor to click on things and the plane controls mostly do not work when it's up. You put the difficulty to all assists? I played a mix of PC and Xbox and the first load screen is bad, but less so after that.

The next 2 times I have tried the next tutorial, she doesn't tell me how to move the plane to the taxi place and I don't even know where the next taxi place is. The game crashes. So I booted up again and just tried to do a flight but it crashed again when I was trying to learn the controls. Also, the load times are LONG. What happened to little to no load times for Series X games? Do I need to reinstall the game or something because so far, it seems to hate me.

I feel like a lot of Game Pass games launch when they're not ready for prime time, and we're just supposed to be fine with it because we didn't actually buy the games. Though none have been as bad as Flight Simulator. I'm totally expecting frequent crashing and disconnects when Halo Infinite releases.

I'm confused about something with my series x. If I downloaded a series x game (star wars squadrons) and have had to move it to an external drive, it shouldn't play right? I'd have to move it back to the internal to play it? So I did just that to make room for a new download, only Squadrons started right up off the external. I'm confused. There are some games that are X/S enhanced but don’t need to be on the internal drive. If you look at the file info, it will say Gen9Aware, which means it is aware of that it’s running on Series X/S but doesn’t need to be on internal like ones that say Scarlett.

I would assume it should stay on GP at least until November like you said, the season will end. That’d put it past the 6 months time which seems to be the shortest amount of time a game stays on GP. You bring up a good point about their DD programs. It’d be ridiculous to have it leave GP while people would still buy stubs for packs. It could stay until when they announce 22 just to keep people interested. I can easily see them doing that since I doubt 22 will be on GP unless Microsoft sweetens the pot.

Even though I don’t play NBA that much, 21 was pretty good for MyCareer. I would have bought it if it had dropped the price more. I’m not sure sports games are holding more value but maybe in some cases aren’t being allowed to drop as low as before yet FIFA 21 hit $20 for a dual entitlement game which seems right. When I mentioned price, I was referring to how every new sports game I’ve looked at is $70 for standard edition new gen version.

Yeah, that, Sable, Lemnis Gate and Astra Ascending are games I’m looking forward to. Oh and Aragami 2, though I never finished the first one. Also recommend Lost Words from the older games.

This is just a fantastic mix of games. Besides all the great day one releases I've been waiting for a good sale on Subliminal and now I don't have to buy it.
