• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

I've just about given up on both Trials. I already have the car prize for FH4 and don't want to put in any more time for just a Super Wheel Spin for FH5. I'm also having trouble with the Bugatti Championship in FH5. I still can't seem to keep up even after tuning the car. It's only an Emote prize but with skipping the Trial that'll be 15 points I'll be missing going into the final season.

FYI - It's looks like they fixed the Super Wheel Spins in the Forzathon Shop. I was able to purchase multiply Super Wheel Spins before but now it's limited to one a week.

I may have to go back FH4 Eliminator if there are less players now. I may actually have a chance at winning.

Did you try tuning the EB110 (if you have it) to 901 PI? For the Trial, we can try to convoy it some time. I think I'd want to look into some other Classic Racers to see if something can spec out better than the Ford I used.

You only need 200 points for the second series car and the points per season have been 68 / 65 / 65 / 68, so you should be good unless you've already missed a lot of points.

I only have 13 games in FH4's Eliminator, so a ways to go for the 50 games achievement. I'll probably keep an eye out for TA sessions attempting to get some of the achievements, but will still try to win one as I work toward that 50.

Exactly why I quit, because I'm terrible at these whenever it gets above S1 or certain circuits require too much sweat to get through. Really wish they'd hurry up with some plans of the first expansion before I cool on the game too much to even care.

I’ve been frustrated with the weekly trials for the same reason. I’ll play 5 here and there but it feels like I lost interest in it a whole lot quicker than with 4. I’ve gone back to 4 and enjoying it more than 5.

I found 4 to be the least interesting (between 3, 4 and 5).  I hated the stupid Forzathon's.  Now that they fixed them in 5 at least I can get through them and get the points.

I have done more in 5 then 3 or 4.  But I am ready for the 1st DLC drop.

I spent about $35, which is less than 2 hours of work, so I figure if 1-2 of them go GWG, that's better than missing out on others to potential delistings.

I've also started making all XBL purchases with giftcards bought from Best Buy, so I get reward points and spending towards Elite status there. Add in Rewards points for purchases plus Bing cashback and it's a nice little feedback loop.

All this backwards compatibility sale did for me is make me realize I have a lot of these games on disc in my collection so I don't need to buy them. I was thinking about buying Sonic Unleashed and I found my copy so I will install that soon.

I bought both Timesplitters games because I couldn't find my physical copies but I know I own them both somewhere.

I just think I have them on either PS2, GameCube or Xbox so for $5 for both why not.

I already bought the timesplitters games via this sale. I still am thinking about Sonic Unleashed and the newly backwards compatible Rockstar games. I have the max Payne games on disc but then I can't play them on my series S. Revolver and Manhunt I have for PS2 and wouldn't mind converting to modern day digital Xbox but I wish they weren't $9 a piece. Will probably get manhunt and red dead revolver and just hope they hold up. Never actually played manhunt originally so that may be one of my oldest backlog games

This guy leaked some info about the upcoming Bioshock that people took seriously for whatever reason, none of the specifics have been confirmed yet though. He posted this a month ago.

I think remaster is possible, since WB is working with James Gunn, and he even talked about the game's visual style influencing a Harley Quinn sequence in The Suicide Squad. The game was 2 years before he blew up in popularity with GOTG.

The scroll through the list game - that's one game I got all cheevos for and platinum'ed it too.

I pick random games every once in a while, start it and then go, "oh, now I remember why I never play this one"...or more often, "goddangit, you want to update now!?" I got all cheevos on this one too.

Max Payne 3 for me personally was the weakest of the trilogy. It wasn't bad, but it lacked the more faster paced combat of the first two by having a cover based system so Max felt more fragile. Once more, not bad, but just go in fully expecting a different take on Max Payne since Remedy weren't the ones doing it. With that said, the game is what got me into listening to HEALTH so it has a special place in my heart for that.

Did you try tuning the EB110 (if you have it) to 901 PI? For the Trial, we can try to convoy it some time. I think I'd want to look into some other Classic Racers to see if something can spec out better than the Ford I used.

You only need 200 points for the second series car and the points per season have been 68 / 65 / 65 / 68, so you should be good unless you've already missed a lot of points.

If you're getting one, Sonic Generations by far. It is half 2D and half 3D, with remakes from all the mainline games up to that point. 2D has somewhat wonky physics, not in oar with Mania or the Genesis games, but still good. Fully enhanced, runs at 4K/60FPS on Series X.

Unleashed has great Sonic levels, but half the game is Werehog levels that play like the PS2 God of War and they go on too long. Has it's fans, but is probably a 7 at best. FPS boost may make the Werehog levels a bit better because they ran kind of bad on 360.

Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed is very good, but it's a kart racer, not a normal Sonic game. Arguably the best kart racer available on Xbox. FPS boosted to 60 FPS.

The game in the BC sale is 4 Arena, Ultimax is a sort of sequel but was never made backwards compatible. The new release is essentially a remaster of Ultimax with some additional balancing that has been arcade exclusive until now. This new Ultimax is skipping Xbox entirely.

It also kept delay-based netcode instead of adding rollback, so into the trash it goes.

ahhh, for some reason I thought we had to use the Veyron. Anyways, I'm stupid, you are correct, I only need 10 more points to get the second series car. For some reason, I was thinking I needed way more. Probably was getting it confused with getting the two cars for the final season but that is obviously season specific points. All 3 Max Payne titles are worth the play. The second one I felt was a lot more difficult compared to 1&3 but 3s alternate modes can be quite challenging(NYC Minute mode is no joke)
