• You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work. Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
• Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
  On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold. You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
• On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold. Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

What is this?

Game prices in the Xbox store have a UTC end date associated with them. These dates generally fall into 5 categories :

1. The item is currently on sale. These are usually the weekly sale items that end Tuesday mornings at 09:59:59 UTC.
2. The item will go on sale, usually within 2-3 weeks. These are usually set to switch at 23:59:59 UTC, like the weekly sale on Monday evenings. Some of the major annual sales (Spring, Summer, Black Friday, Holiday) start on Thursday evening UTC, and some times appear to be random.
3. The item is on Game Pass and is not currently or going to be on sale in the next few weeks. Third party games generally cluster around 09:59:59 UTC on the 1st and 16th of each month. Currently, at least one game is associated with every 1st and 16th through January 2025. The dates then spread out, ending with Human Fall Flat on July 1, 2028.
4. First party and EA Play titles are farther out, starting in 2049, with many in 2799 and 9998.
5. No date - some items do not have a price and so don't have a date. If the item is part of a bundle that has a price, the date from the bundle is used.

The list below uses the dates associated with games on Game Pass and EA Play. Time stamps in red are the regular Game Pass departure times and titles in red are confirmed to be leaving, either from Microsoft's regular news postings or by devs / publishers. Items available through Game Pass Core, currently on sale or not available for purchase are also color coded.

The date associated with a Game Pass game is not a guarantee it will leave on that date, but since March 2023 when the price data started getting analyzed, every game that's left Game Pass had been flagged as leaving on that date. It's given a number of people an extra heads up on the generally 2 week notice Microsoft provides.

There were parts of Batman that were good. I was really skeptical of the Catwoman actress but damn if they didn’t make her look like she came straight out of Batman Year One. There were some good throw backs to Long Halloween and even Hush. Penguin felt like a waste because he was so well done but it’s obvious he is set up for a sequel. I hated what they did to Riddler. He was sort of a mix between Zsasz, with a hint of the Court of Owls mixed with Anarky. It was too long and felt anticlimactic.
I’m hoping Aquaman 2, Black Adam and Shazam 2 turn out good. If they don’t I don’t see how they turn it around. I’m real disappointed with DC for seemingly just abandoning Henry Cavill and Superman. He did a great job and Man of Steel was one of my favorites of the modern DC movies.

I am also disappointed in how Warner has no interest in making more Cavill Superman movies. Really wanted a Man of Steel sequel, no Justice League stuff, just Superman.

They really learned from the Netflix shows that less is more, give me six episodes with the same budget instead of spreading it out across 10-12 episodes.

Completely agree, I tried giving Daredevil a chance after hearing how great it was but about 8 episodes into that first season it just lost all steam for me I haven't been back since. If they could have trimmed it downed and tightened up the story to a good 6-8 episodes it would have been better for it. I like the shorter format the Disney+ shows have taken. They never seem to wear out their welcome or have any filler episodes to stretch out it.

Oh one thing I will say I appreciate that DC does over Marvel is I ing hate how EVERY MCU character in a mask takes off their masks in mere seconds notice. Like holy shit it bugs me to no end how no matter how stressful a battlefield they're on with lasers being shot from every which direction or whatever, if they spot someone they recognize "better take my mask off so we can hear and talk to each other better!" Just goddamn infuriating and I don't need every final battle being reduced to them being face to face with someone.

That's one of the things I appreciated about The Batman, he wasn't constantly taking off the cowl. 90% of that of movie was in full costume. I love the Spider Man movies but they always have him taking off the mask.

The CG definitely looks less realistic, especially in Moon Knight during that truck chase, but ehhh. It has become a tad formulaic, but it hasn't reached the point of anything DC has done in terms of feeling disappointed.

People with digital collections who do not want to always be re-downloading games? Especially people with data caps. One of the main reasons I went digital is so that I can always just have whatever game I want to play ready to go. Having to download it before I want to play something would make me not play it. I bought the 2TB expansion and I never regretted it for a second.

If it was only me playing the Series X then 1tb would be sufficient. I needed more though because I have 3 kids and a wife. My wife and I are playing Lego Star Wars and Borderlands 3. My son plays Destiny 2, Fortnite, and is still working through the Halo Campaign. My other son plays the master chief collection a lot, plus they have about 3 Gamepass games they play together. I like to play Apex Legends and Forza Horizon 5. Once you try having all of that on the hard drive, 1tb is not enough.

I think it started with covid For real though people do the same thing at work with their masks and it doesn't help me hear them better.

Depends on what you play. A lot of Game Pass games are indie titles that don't take up 100GB, but as others have mentioned, a few MP titles take up a ton of space (Borderlands 3 is about 112GB) which disappears quickly. If current gen games could run off a USB HDD, I'd already own a Series S.

I have my 8TB External and 1TB internal at 98% full. I NEED MORE! I'm honestly very tired of figuring out which 50/100GB game i need to delete in order for me to play a new game.

Yeah, the differences made me not scoop up the first series s I saw since I already have a series x and my one x consoles are in rooms I don't use as much. With the one x hard drive failure though and me getting an expansion card I am awfully tempted. Have my frequently played games installed on the smaller series s hard drive and just have other games I'm playing on the expansion card to swap between the s and x.

Can someone explain to me why Salt And Sanctuary has more highs and lows than a crack addict on PlayStation yet hasn't had a single sale since it's release on Xbox? Why is that? I loved Invincible and it’s probably one of the best comic series from the last couple of decades. The show was good and did the comic justice.
I was pretty much done with the MCU before Infinity War. Thor Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy were the last two I enjoyed. What Marvel’s put out since has been meh at best and others just bad. I was holding out hope for She-Hulk just because she is a great character and has had great series but that trailer was awful. DC hasn’t done any better. Out of the most recent releases, Zack Synder’s Justice League was great and Suicide Squad 2 was ok, Batman was meh but Birds of Prey was one of the worst movies ever. I’ve read comics since I was a kid so superhero stuff is my wheelhouse but between the quality greatly diminishing and the genre being over saturated, I’m burnt out.

I'm still on a last-gen Xbox (not even an One X, actually), and I play more sports games than anything, but I do tend to play more than one or two of them at a time. NBA 2K22 is listed at 99 GB on my HD; Madden 22 is 46, MLB The Show 22 is 44, and NHL is 39. That's a quarter of my hard drive. Add in Apex Legends, the only one of the F2P shooters I play, and we're at about a third of the drive. Gotta think adding Fortnite and even just the WarZone element of Call of Duty would get me near half full.

And those are just the games that the casual folks who probably comprise the lion's share of that average majority play every day or close to it. Throw in another 50 gigs for something like Elden Ring or GTA or whatever Ubisoft game someone is currently playing and you might be negotiating space (remember, there are plenty of 500 GB Xboxes still in use) without even having a single indie. I also presume the next-gen versions are much bigger, if not much, much bigger.

If you're purging stuff, you are probably unusual for this audience, but you're also building in a redownload time for revisiting anything without a cloud option, and plenty of folks prefer not to do that. It may be digital hoarding, but, like, it's not taking up actual space?

i've been organizing the storage on my xbox and there's something curious happening with kerbal space program. it's listed under "owned games" and i can open the game fine but i'm pretty sure i never bought it and shouldn't own it. it's a game i know i haven't had interest in playing before, so i wouldn't have bought it and forgotten. i also keep track of my games with a spreadsheet.

on the xbox website, it does not say i already purchased it. it's not part of game pass. it's never been offered through games with gold.

maybe it was on game pass in the past and a license glitch is allowing me to keep playing it?

I don't know, at least the MCU has generally felt like a fine adaptation for me. Marvel (and DC) have long been deep in the alternate universe and continuity mindset, with stuff like the Ultimate universe in the more recent decades. It depends what you're looking for and the strength of cohesion is also the weakness of not having as unique of pieces.

Going toward general "superhero media" is pretty broad, but at least for this style of movies I overall prefer the consistent storytelling to the cluster whiplash that DC, Sony, and Fox put out. For every Joker, Spiderverse, or Logan they would have an equal number of Suicide Squad, Morbius, Age of Apocalypse level trainwrecks.

All that said, I've never been crazy about the long term story telling styles of the main Marvel and DC continuities, I prefer more focused visions where creative teams don't necessarily tank a storyline, dramatically shift a character (like the more recent She-Hulk books), or bog down 30 titles for the yearly event gimmick. I tend to gravitate to more standalone stuff, specific runs, or manga because of this. I think it's why I generally preferred Kirkman's stuff with Invincible and Walking Dead while they were running, small creative teams for over a decade.

My storage is split between my Series X and One X and I think all combined I have 9TB of storage with all connected HDD and SSD's. Probably use in total about 25% of that. I Really just play a total of maybe 6-10 games realistically at a time and that includes random pick up and play when the moment strikes. Really most of those games are crammed on the 4TB for future play or company and if a game isn't needed on the internal Series X it's played off a normal external SSD.

Man, people who read comics then aren't for people who read comics now. Marvel and DC are constantly changing their lore, characters and timelines to where so many things don't even matter. Until sometimes randomly they do and are referenced in a crossover before being forgotten as part of a new reboot every few years. At least with MCU and to some extent DCU, there is a simple lore to the universe compared to me having to explain Alan Scott to someone and having to explain them the Golden Age followed by JSA then tell them it doesn't matter, but then Crisis happens, but then it doesn't matter again because of new 52 and etc.

Obviously need to create a GameFlip account. I understand it’s a bit of a pain in the ass for some people nowadays (like requiring a driver’s license photo, etc.). I didn’t have to go through that but YMMV. Think you may be able to get around it by adding funds to an account but not sure. And TBH with games less than $5, you’ll need to add funds anyway. It won’t let you direct buy with a CC unless it’s over $5.

Anyway, after you do that, when you buy a code from outside the US, you do indeed need a VPN. Just for the redemption part. After it’s added to your account, you just play as normal.

I've had mine for over ten years now and only 3 of the 12 or so total I got at the time have ever crapped out and that's because I don't rotate them enough in the charger. Also if you got an IKEA near you, buy the IKEA brand rechargable batteries. Exact same batteries as Eneloop, but cheaper, just don't order them online from the IKEA website.

The attempts by Saudi officials to “sportswash” have really upset people. Over in England, the Saudi sovereign wealth fund purchased Newcastle United in the premier league, and fans and local government fought hard to try to keep them out.

Then there’s Formula 1 racing there this season and last. I hate the track, as I really do think it’s going to be the site of the next serious safety problem in racing. Then there was a Yemeni missile that struck 6 miles from the track DURING race practice last month.
