There's no way 1200 point games sell well (besides Battlefield and Marvel VS. Capcom 2). What are they thinking releasing so many at that price point?
What are they thinking releasing so many at that price point?
It's only a matter of time before 1600 points is the new "premium" price point for big name DLC games. -_-

I love shmups to death, but Ray Storm is just not worth $15 IMHO, especially when the original version can probably be had for $5. R-type went on sale pretty fast. I wonder how long before this becomes the DOTW for 800.
Would like to see a dedal on Serious Sam. Loved it on the original xbox. $15 is just to high.
agreed! also, is anybody buying zombie apocalypse???

I picked up Zombie Apocalypse on Monday when it hit 400pts. I am having a blast with the game, but the online co-op has been really laggy.

Zeno Clash is $15 because the PC one is the same price... whoever is publishing it on the 360 is probably just trying to establish equal pricing.

But Rocket Knight should be 800, definitely... $15 is a bit extreme. Same with Raystorm, there are far superior shmups on the XBLA for 800.

They must be selling if MS is willing to price them that high. Personally, my XBLA spending has gone WAY down as the prices have gone up.

Serious Sam HD is an upgrade to a full fledged game that originally came out at $20 so many years ago. At $15 it is quite the deal still.

Send any hate mail regarding the 1200 MS points becoming acceptable to Jonathan Blow. His pretentious ass charged $15 for Braid and started this lovely trend.

I recall games for 1200 before Braid though. Or am I going crazy?

yea im pretty sure puzzle quest was 1200 when it launched. I'm very tempted to get Zeno Clash, it seems worth $15. and zombie apocalypse is fun, but better in small doses and with 2 or more people. for $5, get it. its one of the very few games my wife will play, we got all the way to day 7 of '7 days of hell' but have yet to finish it. if anyone wants to go for that achiev. message me=bajingo. need 3 people that wont drop out.

Puzzle Quest is also a real retail title with a ton of content, which you can't really say for Rocket Knight or Ray Storm any more (though they were once sold at retail, in a much different age).

Swing and a miss.
Woo, I figured they would run a sale on Monkey Island sooner or later, with the revamped sequel in the works. Glad it was sooner. ;)
they did this holiday season. i know i didn't pay 800

is monkey island worth 400 points. I tried the demo but it was a little weird for my taste, but for $5 i'd be more inclined to consider. Geometry wars wasn't my cup of tea either, but for $5 i jumped & haven't looked back.

I am thinking about getting Zeno Clash for 1200 and then buying points from Microsoft to get Monkey Island when it goes on sale. Has anyone played the full Zeno Clash and think it's worth full price? I enjoyed the demo.

Yeah, I don't get the pricing either. A game as fun and jam packed full of content as Perfect Dark is 800 points, then raystorm and rocket knight are 1200? huh?

Microsoft sets content pricing, not developers. They have very little (if anything at all) to do with it. So if you want to complain, direct it to MS, not game devs.

That being said, ZA is still a ripoff at 400 points.

Ditto. Microsoft can keep pricing this stuff like they do and I'll just keep spending more on PSN during their pretty awesome Summer sale.

Zombie Apocalypse is pretty fun with four players online. Since it's DOTW, there always seems to be a lot of people online. I've been able to make full 4-player games within minutes during peak play hours. Of course, by next week most likely no one will be playing anymore, so get your fill and multiplayer achievements in now. Survive 7 days in a row is significantly easier with 4 people. I went about 10 days before my first death.
Have Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie ever gone on sale?
I know Banjo-Tooie hasn't. I've been waiting to pick it up. Not positive on Banjo-Kazooie, but I think no.
havent been keeping up with the thread, did any borderlands dlc go on sale or is going onsale soon ?
zombie island went on sale for 400msp last week or the week before.

Although I have a whole list of stuff I'd love to go on sale, one old title I can't believe has never gone on sale is Poker Smash. I really enjoyed the demo and it released ages ago... come on, M$FT...

Wonder what this weeks sale will be.....im hoping Metal Slug 3 or Samurai Showdown finally go on sale. (Or maybe some good DLC, like the RE5 stuff or something)

I've been waiting for so bloody long for Metal Slug 3 to go on sale.

I'd jump all over any Metal Slug game. That's my next must buy sale.

Anyone know if and when Alien Hominid might go on sale? I know it's been out for a while but that's another one I want to pick up.

Alien Hominid was one of the first DOTW, I think week 3 or 4.

Ooh just grabbed Zeno clash. Been looking forward to it though it was in xbl limbo for a bit, didn't know it had finally come out. Rocket Knight soon eh? Price is steep, though my points were half off last time I bought so that softens the blow I guess. Still, the game is classic childhood for me so that's probably a definite as well. We'll see if I need the d-pad, might have to go to psn though.
why so much UNKNOWN? dont they usually release a list with the month's dotw's? why so secretive >_

It looks like it will be GTA IV: TBoGT for 1200 pts

Also, Major Nelson said the reason for the holes is to lead up to E3 and some "surprises." He also said he won't be posting upcoming content till after E3. I'll still do my best to find it for you though

Looks like I'll be popping in GTA IV some time soon. Haven't gotten the 2nd of the DLC episodes, so it's good that's going on sale finally.

IMO, Ballad of Gay Tony was the most fun of the GTA trilogy (much better than Lost and the Damned). I was super sad when it ended and it was worth well over 20 dollars.

TLAD=Better Multiplayer
BoGT=Better Single Player
Great, just bought Episodes from Liberty City off Amazon last week. Figures.
At least I'm not the only one with rotten luck. Felt like more GTA; tired of waiting for this deal to come up I bought GT on Saturday. Such lousy timing. :bomb:

Very much worth it either way I suppose, this one is really good so far.

yep, i just bought it off gamestop when the ~40% off was working...already had LATD...so with this deal it kinda ruins the good deal I got on Episodes...
