[CUSTOMSPOILER="General Info"]
Q. What is MyPunchcard?
A. MyPunchcard is a part of the Xbox LIVE Rewards program open to all members. Through MyPunchcard, Xbox LIVE Rewards members can get rewarded for performing a specific set of actions outlined in the Punchcard for each offer. Once all punches are earned on a specific Punchcard, get rewarded!

Q. Who is eligible for MyPunchcard?
A. All Xbox LIVE Rewards members are eligible to participate in MyPunchcard. To start earning punches for completing specific actions, join Xbox LIVE Rewards now for free if you haven’t already: http://rewards.xbox.com.

Q. How does MyPunchcard work?
A. Each Punchcard has a set amount of punches required in order to complete it. Once a specific action is completed and a punch is earned, it can take up to 96 hours for it to appear on the MyPunchcard page. Xbox LIVE Rewards members are only eligible to receive a Reward once all punches have been earned and the entire Punchcard is complete. There is a limit of one Reward per one completed Punchcard, unless otherwise noted.

Q. Where can I find the available Punchcards?
A. To check out the available Punchcards, log into the Xbox LIVE Rewards site and visit the MyPunchcard page. The amount of available Punchcards each month will vary.

Q. Do Punchcards expire?
A. Yes. Once a Punchcard expires, no further punches will be provided for actions completed after that date. Expiration dates for each Punchcard vary and are listed on the MyPunchcard page found here.

Q. I completed a Punchcard! How do I claim my Reward?
A. If the Reward is Microsoft Points, they will appear under Pending on your MyRewards page by the 15th of the following month. If the Reward is anything other than Microsoft Points, an email will be sent to your contact email listed here with instructions to redeem your Reward. The Rewards for completion of a Punchcard will vary with each Punchcard offer. Rewards will not be provided during the Punchcard offer period.

April's PlaytoEarn Punchcard
Check your status - May take 3-5 days to update
XBLA DLC purchases do not count toward the April Punchcard - source

Cornelius's list of sources for last-minute XBLA purchase ideas:
  • The Wikipedia page for XBLA releases, sorted by MSP.
  • Xbox.com's sorted list of best-selling XBLA titles.
  • Major Nelson's most-recent list of top 20 XBLA games purchased.
  • The Twisted Pixel bundle ... seriously, it's 3600 MSP worth of games for 800 MSP!
  • The DOTW for April 30th, listed on our OP, as well as Major Nelson's blog, which will go live around 4/30 @ 2am PDT, and be valid for 14-15 hours up through the promo's deadline between 4pm-5pm'ish PDT (depending how they've configured the reporting servers to account for GMT).
Note I was going to also suggest the "Angry Birds Trilogy" sale starting 4/30, but since it's a GoD title, it doesn't count.
  • Games your friends have picked up. Use the "Compare Games" feature on their profile, which will list their games in order of most-recently played by default.
  • Atari-published games, which you should assume will get de-published as soon as its game licenses/IP are sold off in bankruptcy court.
  • Games NOT found on compilation discs, because you can often find them "cheap" on eBay or used-game retailers. See this XBLA thread post (under "XBLA Discs") for more info & lists.
  • And finally, TylerH1701's list of XBLA games yet to go on sale
Hope this helps anyone's last-minute purchase dilemma. ;)

FAQ:
_________________________________________________

Q: So what is this and how much does it cost?
A: Xbox Rewards is a free loyalty program run by ePrize for the Microsoft Corporation. They offer free and Gold Xbox Live members "rewards" for completing survey, making qualified purchases, or other actions during a specified period.

Q: Where do I start?
A: You should start by reviewing the official FAQ. Once you are done there, and you have decided to join, you are ready to start earning rewards.

Q: I never got my reward for my first purchase after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ. You will only earn that reward for your first purchase from the marketplace ever. If you made a purchase before joining the program, you are out of luck.

Q: I never got my reward for activating Netflix after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ and some discussion with @XboxSupport You will only earn that reward for the first time you ever activate Netflix on your specific gamertag. If you did that before joining the program, you are out of luck. If you are still good, you have to have had Netflix activated for 1 month and have watched 2+ hours of streaming content during that time period.

Q: When will this end?
A: According to the official T&C, the program is scheduled to end at 3:59 p.m. GMT on June 30, 2012. It is possible that the program will be renewed or go after that, but there hasn't been more info on that yet.

Q: Will my Xbox LIVE Rewards Points expire?
A: Rewards Points do expire, so be sure to use them by June 30, 2012.

Q: How do I use my expiring Microsoft Points first?
A: Promotional points with expiration dates are automatically redeemed first before purchased points. [source]
Ha. Don't know why RB Blitz and Pinball Arcade both qualify as "sports" but I'll likely be getting both of those to qualify. Was waiting for a sale on Pinball Arcade, this is close enough.
Rockband blitz counts?

If Rock Band Blitz counts (weird) as does Pinball Arcade DLC, then presuming the Monster Bash DLC actually does come out by the end of the month (ha! LOL!), I should be good.

Rock Band Blitz and Deadblock do NOT count. I think some people are getting confused with it saying "confirmed" as not eligible. Only the games under the first list in green count.
Rock Band Blitz and Deadblock do NOT count. I think some people are getting confused with it saying "confirmed" as not eligible. Only the games under the first list in green count.
I was confused by that, too. The final list just says "confirmed" and nothing else like the green list, whereas the red list says "confirmed as ineligible"
Wait, so Deadblock counts according to the first page? I'm on the fence about buying that on sale and probably will. But if I buy that I may considering grabbing some pinball tables too. Has anyone seen the post confirming deadblock (and hopefully the DLC too). If not, I might make a new thread myself in the rewards forum.
Oops, I included "Dead Block" in the upper section? Sorry about that.

Also didn't think saying "confirmed as ineligible" was confusing, since that essentially means that Xbox Rewards Support has specifically said they're not eligible.

Oh well, hope the list is still helping folks out!
Edited the OP to hopefully make it less confusing
Added a 3rd category for items where Xbox Rewards Support talks about the purchase, but don't give a specific answer one way or the other. One example of this is the "EA Sports Season Ticket", where the app is free ... but the points you spend are via in-app purchases, which Support says they can't track.

Got Pinball Arcade and the Kinect Sports Season 2 DLC (season pass) respectively. I'll check later today if I get those pending points.

Does Wrestlefest count toward the promo, and will it actually be out on time? I am guessing the answer is NO since the other WWE games don't count, since it's "sports entertainment" and not simply "sports".

go to the rewards forum and ask. and do it ASAP. the rewards team replies semi-quickly. i got my reply to Kinect Sports Season 2 in a couple of days.

I really don't get why Joy Ride Turbo counts as sports but Hydro Thunder Hurricane doesn't seem to. I missed the sales they've had and would pick it up today if it was.

because a lot of people think car racing is a sport (IndyCar, NASCAR, F1, etc.). boat racing... not so much.

don't shoot the messenger. I don't think car racing is a sport either. it's someone who's better at turning a wheel and controlling pedals than another person.

but yeah, some weird choices. Pinball! FTW!

alright, I'm done for this reward.

I picked up a couple of pinball packs for Pinball Arcade for 800 points. I picked up Kinect Sports Season Two Basketball challenge for 200 points. And then I picked up Tecmo Bowl Throwback for 800 because it's fun, simple, and has never been on sale.

now gimme back the 240!!! :p

I've bought 3 of the Pinball Hall of Fame DLC packs (newest one Monster Bash/Gorgar came out on Tuesday people!!), that's 1200 points right there so if I get the Pinball FX2 Marvel Avengers DLC 4 pack of tables at 800 points I'm all set then?

Still hard to believe these are considered "sports games" but I'll take the points!

yep, the pinball tables count. i wish i had the 3 pinball arcade packs count for me for 1200. but I was so excited to get the first pack, I bought it at 11:50 pm July 31. then I found out about the august promotion...

Added the following to our list, in this last-minute rush to assist folks in the forums:
  • Burnout Paradise
  • Burnout Revenge
  • Fight Night CHAMPION
  • Madden NFL 12 GoD (but not the Ultimate Team in-app purchase)
  • Madden NFL 10's Ultimate Team DLC

And these titles didn't meet the bar:
  • Split Second ... Cornelius rolls his eyes from Rewards' ignorance :whistle2:(
  • COD Black Ops' Rezurrection map ... Cornelius is rolling on the floor laughing out loud

Are you guys seeing your points pending yet? When should I see my points as pending? Ive read within 96 hrs and at the end of the month. I bought SSX Mt eddie and THPS a week ago and dont see anything yet. Im hoping they show after the month ends.

Really stupid question here, but do any and ALL pinball fx2 tables or packs count? In the list on page one it only lists specific ones. Thanks

well, i'm not the one to be asked the question as I don't work for the rewards department. :)

it's too late now but the question should be asked in the official rewards forum. usually they reply within a couple of days at most.

now that you just have a few hours left, it's up to you to take the gamble. If I was making the bet, I would assume it's any and all of the FX2 tables as being part of the deal.

Thats what i assumed as well. Part of me just wants to run wild and buy a ton of fx2 tables, but just to be on the safe side, i think i am going to buy nfl blitz for 1200 then do what i can using the tables ONLY listed on this thread to buy a table to make up the rest of the 1600.

It's probably too late to try for the promotion. Their months usually change over based on GMT or UTC, which rolled over to September a couple hours ago.

Really? I didnt know that. I JUST downloaded NFL Blitz and the "classic" pack for pinball fx2 :)

I hope you get it, but a couple of us have been burned on the timing of the month rollover before. If we can get a confirmation on the time, it should probably be added to the FAQ in the first post.

Q: When does a Rewards month end?
A: Either midnight GMT or UTC, which is 7pm or 8pm Eastern time. To take advantage of a monthly offer, try to make your purchases before 6pm Eastern on the last of the month.
Looks like the September promo has been posted on their FAQ, though the main page hasn't updated yet.

During the month of September, use any sports app for 10 hours or more and earn 100 Microsoft Points. App must be used between September 1, 2012 and September 30, 2012. To check if an item qualifies for this offer, please make a new post in our support forums.
Part of me was actually hoping for an avatar related promo, because I'd really like the Fall of Cybertron Grimlock and Laserbeak pets. But I should be able to qualify for September with MLB.tv.

I'm confused on the september sports app thing. Is that a video app like ESPN, MLB.tv, etc.? or will playing a sports game count as a sports app? and is it 10 hours total (e.g., 7 hours ESPN, 3 hours MLB.tv) or 10 hours in a particular app?

New survey is up, it asks about your sports watching habits (which sports, what devices you watch them on, how frequently).

I'd be surprised if games count, but you can ask on their forums. The linked FAQ says 10 hours total across multiple apps counts.

I've updated the OP with the September offer plus an offer for new Rewards members who sign up through a PAX Prime promotion. I kept the August info there in a spoiler tag.

I cannot understand why they would want us to ask on their forums what is eligible instead of just providing a list, especially this month. As far as sports apps goes, I think safe bets are ESPN, MLB.tv, and UFC.

judging from the survey, it seems like the ESPN app, UFC app and MLB.TV app

I would have to say it's 10 hours total from all 3 mixed. I doubt it would be 10 from just one app.

My question is for anyone with mlb.tv, do they offer like 1 free game for non members??? I never bothered to install that app

yeah, you get the random free game with the MLB.tv app. it's a very slick app. but it's baseball and highlights are enough for me with regards to baseball.

now if the NFL had a slick app like that, I'd jump on it.

I 'mildly' bitched on their twitter--to no avail:

@XboxLiveRewards:
"Want Points back in August? If you're going to spend 1,600+ on sports games & game add-ons, we'll give you 240 back!"

Me:
"It would be great to actually have a LIST, @XboxLIVErewards, what happened to the good ol' days of XBL Rewards?!"

@XboxLiveRewards:
"@SangestheLurker Unfortunately, we are no longer allowed to post a list."

@XboxLiveRewards:
"@SangestheLurker To doublecheck eligibility, please check with the Xbox LIVE Rewards Squad on the support forums!"

and then, just because it seemed so obvious and silly to point it out: (and because I was feeling like a snarky shit I suppose)
"@XboxLIVErewards I've seen this, but there needs to be a "firstcheck" list of eligibility foremost; this itemized inquiry stuff is nuts."

I'd like to think that, if enough of us made a commotion, it might get noticed... but then there's no saying they'd actually do anything about it.

yah, I have to imagine if there was a list that it would seem like they are giving preferential treatment to some apps/games at times if they were excluded for some reason, but at the same time it is annoying to have to pick search yourself and hope you make the right choice. I almost want to be the jerk who copies and pastes the entire list of apps in the support forum asking if they are eligable each month and see if they actually respond to it with an answer.

10 hours on a Sports App?

I sure hope ESPN3 counts, because I've already put in about 3 hours this weekend.

Benefits of having a school that's not popular enough to get on TV but to have a crew there. Plus US Open for the rest of the week. :D

Anyone's 240 from the August promotion show up as pending yet??

I bought Tony Hawk hd, Mini golf 2, and some pinball fx 2 tables but see nothing pending currently

I bought my stuff very last minute, I suppose, August 28. Still not pending yet. I'll give them the holiday weekend and see what's up on Tuesday.

should be. i'm using the app as "background noise" while playing Guild Wars 2

woohoo! got my points pending for the August promotion!

now onward to the September promotion! an easy one to get which I guess is the reason it's so cheap...
Damn, mine still aren't...
me neither

I bought my stuff the first week as well while dirtyvu bought he said at the very end. Who do we contact because I know for sure, my content counted

I bought:

MLB Bobblehead Pros (800) on 8/17
Golf: Tee It Up (400) on 8/29
3D MiniGolf (400) on 8/29 [and of course it's on sale for 200 this week! :wall:)

I'm still gonna wait a few days before I contact them, but if you want to contact them now you would want to post a message in the Xbox Rewards Forum on Xbox.com.

I gave them their 96 hours and then posted in the forum. they're really responsive in the forum especially if you're cordial. don't be like a lot of crazies in the forum who are practically demanding that rewards support fix any problem ASAP.

Still no points pending, nor is my September survey pending. My post from Friday still hasn't been answered, but a lot of more recent posts have been. I need to bump mine to make sure they see it I guess, tried but Xbox.com won't let me sign in at the moment.

This will be the last time I partake in these rewards, unless it's just the 5% back on all purchases or something like that. This has been a little bit too much of a headache to save $3.
Big new update..there are now rebates etc.
To clarify, this seems to be the rollout of the Achievement-based rewards announced earlier this year. I can't look up the Gamerscore requirements right now but bottom tier gets you a "gift" during your birthday month, midtier gets you the gift plus 1% back on all Marketplace purchases, and top tier gets you the gift plus 2% back. Not bad at all.
