[CUSTOMSPOILER="General Info"]
Q. What is MyPunchcard?
A. MyPunchcard is a part of the Xbox LIVE Rewards program open to all members. Through MyPunchcard, Xbox LIVE Rewards members can get rewarded for performing a specific set of actions outlined in the Punchcard for each offer. Once all punches are earned on a specific Punchcard, get rewarded!

Q. Who is eligible for MyPunchcard?
A. All Xbox LIVE Rewards members are eligible to participate in MyPunchcard. To start earning punches for completing specific actions, join Xbox LIVE Rewards now for free if you haven’t already: http://rewards.xbox.com.

Q. How does MyPunchcard work?
A. Each Punchcard has a set amount of punches required in order to complete it. Once a specific action is completed and a punch is earned, it can take up to 96 hours for it to appear on the MyPunchcard page. Xbox LIVE Rewards members are only eligible to receive a Reward once all punches have been earned and the entire Punchcard is complete. There is a limit of one Reward per one completed Punchcard, unless otherwise noted.

Q. Where can I find the available Punchcards?
A. To check out the available Punchcards, log into the Xbox LIVE Rewards site and visit the MyPunchcard page. The amount of available Punchcards each month will vary.

Q. Do Punchcards expire?
A. Yes. Once a Punchcard expires, no further punches will be provided for actions completed after that date. Expiration dates for each Punchcard vary and are listed on the MyPunchcard page found here.

Q. I completed a Punchcard! How do I claim my Reward?
A. If the Reward is Microsoft Points, they will appear under Pending on your MyRewards page by the 15th of the following month. If the Reward is anything other than Microsoft Points, an email will be sent to your contact email listed here with instructions to redeem your Reward. The Rewards for completion of a Punchcard will vary with each Punchcard offer. Rewards will not be provided during the Punchcard offer period.

April's PlaytoEarn Punchcard
Check your status - May take 3-5 days to update
XBLA DLC purchases do not count toward the April Punchcard - source

Cornelius's list of sources for last-minute XBLA purchase ideas:
  • The Wikipedia page for XBLA releases, sorted by MSP.
  • Xbox.com's sorted list of best-selling XBLA titles.
  • Major Nelson's most-recent list of top 20 XBLA games purchased.
  • The Twisted Pixel bundle ... seriously, it's 3600 MSP worth of games for 800 MSP!
  • The DOTW for April 30th, listed on our OP, as well as Major Nelson's blog, which will go live around 4/30 @ 2am PDT, and be valid for 14-15 hours up through the promo's deadline between 4pm-5pm'ish PDT (depending how they've configured the reporting servers to account for GMT).
Note I was going to also suggest the "Angry Birds Trilogy" sale starting 4/30, but since it's a GoD title, it doesn't count.
  • Games your friends have picked up. Use the "Compare Games" feature on their profile, which will list their games in order of most-recently played by default.
  • Atari-published games, which you should assume will get de-published as soon as its game licenses/IP are sold off in bankruptcy court.
  • Games NOT found on compilation discs, because you can often find them "cheap" on eBay or used-game retailers. See this XBLA thread post (under "XBLA Discs") for more info & lists.
  • And finally, TylerH1701's list of XBLA games yet to go on sale
Hope this helps anyone's last-minute purchase dilemma. ;)

FAQ:
_________________________________________________

Q: So what is this and how much does it cost?
A: Xbox Rewards is a free loyalty program run by ePrize for the Microsoft Corporation. They offer free and Gold Xbox Live members "rewards" for completing survey, making qualified purchases, or other actions during a specified period.

Q: Where do I start?
A: You should start by reviewing the official FAQ. Once you are done there, and you have decided to join, you are ready to start earning rewards.

Q: I never got my reward for my first purchase after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ. You will only earn that reward for your first purchase from the marketplace ever. If you made a purchase before joining the program, you are out of luck.

Q: I never got my reward for activating Netflix after joining the rewards program?
A: According to the official FAQ and some discussion with @XboxSupport You will only earn that reward for the first time you ever activate Netflix on your specific gamertag. If you did that before joining the program, you are out of luck. If you are still good, you have to have had Netflix activated for 1 month and have watched 2+ hours of streaming content during that time period.

Q: When will this end?
A: According to the official T&C, the program is scheduled to end at 3:59 p.m. GMT on June 30, 2012. It is possible that the program will be renewed or go after that, but there hasn't been more info on that yet.

Q: Will my Xbox LIVE Rewards Points expire?
A: Rewards Points do expire, so be sure to use them by June 30, 2012.

Q: How do I use my expiring Microsoft Points first?
A: Promotional points with expiration dates are automatically redeemed first before purchased points. [source]
I think a better question would be, "Is killing your Xbox 360 worth a few dollars worth of points?".
I don't feel it would be much strain on my console, especially considering I installed both discs so the disc drive won't even be spinning. My console is also relatively new, its a slim GoW 3 edition xbox I bought in January.

To me, that would be even more of a reason not to do this. I would be more comfortable doing this on a dying phat model than a new, limited edition console.

It's your rodeo though, cowboy :)

I also gained exactly your amount as well, and I am pretty sure I did not spend 22500MSP in October ... last time MS gave away too many points to me, they took it back ... I still have a balance of MS points on my account, and I'm still holding out for some sweet deals come Black Friday/Cyber Monday on the dashboard so I won't be able to enjoy the temporary extra spending amount. At 2%, I expected around 144MSP deposited, and I still have 320MSP marked as pending (Shocktober + Nov survey); so I am baffled at the math as well (granted I cannot claim to be the best at math, so I hope the geniuses at Microsoft is right with the amount I got).

I rarely ever do. But there are exceptions to every rule. TJ & E gets my support in the lofty hopes that the TJ & E 3 (which is technically the 4th game) eventually gets ported over as well, or at least become and XBOX Original GoD. Furthermore, to push my lofty hopes dangerously higher, perhaps a new iteration of the franchise. It's my number one Sega franchise, beyond even Sonic.

I totally understand that - it's why I am the way I am with shootemups. I have spent more money than I even wanna know this generation on the niche genre, but if it means more releases, I'll do whatever I need to.

you win... and lose! i have about 100 xbla games (mostly unfinished or unplayed), its almost TOO many as i dont know where to start and if its not stellar i get bored within a couple of hours. CAG addiction for sure...

Since people are reporting mystery deposits I checked and I got a 300 point deposit. My shocktober and November survey points are still pending. Haven't even gotten my birthday or rebate points this month yet but I only spent 2000 msp exactly last month.

my 360 backlog is somewhere between 400-500 games

In which case I think the crown still maybe yours. Mine is basically all tallied up from PS1 days until now so I think you may have one upped me. 360 game wise total including completed I think I'm only at 400 some.

I got my XBL Rewards statement e-mail last night. The e-mail said 130 points were deposited, which I saw yesterday, and that I have 20 pending points. The web site hasn't updated yet and still shows me having 40 pending points for the Oct and Nov surveys.

My guess is the achievement tier rebates were calculated and retroactively applied to 10/31. I spent 5,120 MSP in October and 2% of that is 102.4. Taking 20 points for the Oct survey off the 130 deposited leaves 110, so perhaps they're rounding the tier rebates up to the nearest 10.

The web site is showing the 2% rebate under my pending points, dated 10/31. Guess it will take another couple days for them to transition over to the rewarded list.

As with any Xbox Rewards monthly promo, there are so many questions surrounding the qualifiers:

Does the time searching and loading between games count, or is it only from game start to game finish?

Does Spartan Ops count toward your multiplayer time, since Gold is required to at it? And if it does count, does it still work if you play it solo?

The world may never know...

Cool, my 2% back is showing as pending too, as well as my 20MSP birthday gift. I've had such a tough time with Xbox Rewards, nice to see things actually working for me for a change.
I'm not seeing any VIP points pending for my Borderlands season pass. Anyone else?
Why would there be any points pending regarding a BL season pass?

The MyAchievements rebate and Oct survey points have shifted from my pending list to rewarded on the web site.

The points I got back include the season pass purchase, since that was nearly half of what I spent (2,400 of 5,120 MSP, rebate was 110 points). I didn't buy the pass until the DLC dropped in October, though. Did you buy the pass in October, or back in September when it first appeared on the marketplace? If Sept, that was before the MyAchievements rebate program went into effect.

Ah, hes referencing the 2%. That explains things a bit better then. I wasn't sure where my point influx came from but totally forgot I had purchased the pass as well.

I, too, grabbed mine in Oct.
does anyone know if i recover my gamertag to another console and do the rewards requirements on another console, will they still count towards my rewards acount?
Yeah, you're good.

I bought RE4 for 800 points and got 20 points back from my 2% VIP. Kinda cool they round it off to 20 instead of giving 16 points back like they should. I know it's not much but still cool.

Im very confused. I got a free month of gold that i entered over a week ago. I went to the rewards page which it looks like i had already signed up for, but i cant do anything. Im signed in, but on the page it only lists the option to 'Upgrade to Gold'

What the hell? When i sign onto my xbox itself it shows im gold, but it doesn't seem to let me do anything for the rewards. My b-day is this month and i wanted to get my b-day reward! Is there a month long delay? Does it not work if your month is free or something? What the heck is going on? I also really want the gamerscore achivements. I have about 30k score, but it shows all those things locked
Just put in Gold 12month code but haven't received 200 MS points, how long does it take??
I'm pulling this number out of thin air--and it should say so on the Rewards site somewhere--but I want to say it takes 48-72 hours to show up as pending, for just about anything. Then you can get the points either around the middle to the end of the following month--that's SOP for these guys, they're third-party, aka NOT-Microsoft operated so rarely is anything "instant".

Pretty sure when you register on the Rewards site, they tell you it can take up to a week, maybe someone else can confirm.

Without looking it up, I'm almost positive that the fine print on both the Birthday 20MSP present, as well as the "rebate" Gamerscore points (what's it called, MyAchievements, or something?) require month-long Gold membership; that's start of the month til the end of the month in-question. I would find it very difficult to believe that many 1-month subscribers would hit both of these marks. Not sure what else you're trying to do with the program.

Sidenote: what happened to Cornelius and anyone else that was keeping up vigilantly with the Wiki? I don't mind doing the minor edits and additions but the "deal graveyard" stuff I leave to the semi-pros.

December promo is spend 2000 points get 100 back, I guess that's something. Looks like you can't re-up the last week or two of December when I'm guessing a 12 Days of X-Mas sale might pop up and be eligible, unless I'm misunderstanding the fine print.

That is a really bad reward. Spend 2000 and get 100? Thats not even 10% back. What a joke!

They've never done 10% back. This the equivalent of 5% back, which is what their usual Spend X Get Y back rewards come out to.

I wanna blame the msp deal at target for this month's reward. I missed out on the deal, but I have to buy the black ops 2 season pass, so atleast ill get something back.

More with the new reward tiers.

Works for me. I plan on making it rain points this month anyway. I'm sure countdown to Christmas will have me biting, and theres plenty of DLC I've been waiting far too long on that I'm just going to bite now with the target cards.
