I see so many of these on the Portland Craigslist they're not even worth reporting anymore. Drives me nuts, because when I'm searching for NES games, I'm not interested in your modded Wii or Xbox that plays NES roms, I want fucking NES games.

Ok... breathing again, good.
I also see people trying to resell games that just came out for $55
Well that's how Gamestop does things. New for $59.99 or used for $54.99. ;)

I just called them, they answered with "bueno" and "hola", and put the little pirate thief who's actually selling the bundle on. I asked him to report me to the police/authorities for harassment/pranks, after confirming they were selling a modded Wii with burned games, clearly a DRM violation and theft/piracy. They just hung up, so I'll be calling back every once in a while. 805 271 1263 in case the ad gets flagged.

What an idiot, those prices are ridiculous. He'll be moving until he dies.

Just as a reminder please remember to post the text of the ad in your post because these posts do get removed and deleted a lot. That way we can laugh at these all year round.

While I consider the price to be high for the item in question, I at least found the ad to be highly entertaining to read.

Amped and ready to Rage! 32" Samsung LCD HDTV - $300 (LSU)

I bought this for 32" 720p TV last February. It was originally $599, but I'm pretty sure it could sale for closer to $10,000 (that's how awesome it is, but who am I to put a price on awesome?)! It works like magic! In fact, I think it is magic. All I have to do is attach these black electrical strings to the back and then moving, talking pictures appear on the front!! Clearly, this magical black rectangle is too thin for everything to fit inside. I guess there are some things that will always be a mystery... But I still have the original receipt! I can deliver it to you for an extra $10 or you can come pick it up. The small Dora the Explorer sticker in the upper right corner is not included and is not for sale!!

On eBay, you can claim you correctly listed the item and point the eBay claim reviewers to the description you wrote while you smugly sit at home.

On Craigslist, you show up with a box and you get robbed, killed, and beat... In that order.

I remember when the Xbox 360 first came out and PS3 first came out the boxes were going for 250+ often on ebay. I never had the balls to list a box, but I saw it all the time.

I dont know about everyone else here but craigslist has become a pain in my ass lately. Trying to sell a couple video game items, not asking a ridiculous price for them. I am just getting sick of people emailing me asking if its available and when I tell them it is, and they ask for a pic I send it to them and then never hear from them again. Soo tired of emailing them over and over, just for them to not respond.

Craigslist overall has been VERY poor in general as of the past 1.5-2 years. It used to be amazing with lots of different kinds of people buying/selling, but i think all the thefts, murders, etc stories from craigslist have scared off the average person who would buy/sell on there, leaving the filth that is CAG resellers and normal people like me who like to buy/sell our own stuff (not reselling) here and there occasionally but have a hard time now doing so.

Sucks.

Like Oaxan said.

In every Craigslist ad I write, I take a ton of pictures - if it's a game, front, back, open case, manual/inserts. That combined with a "If the ad is up, it's still available" message should reduce the calls/emails you get to just interested people... or people who don't actually read.

I put my Toshiba HD-DVD Player and 50 movies up for sale yesterday and got a e-mail offering $15.00 for the whole lot this morning.

I wonder what kind of incredibly shady bullshit this guy keeps getting flagged for.
Bonus points for terrible grammar and having no clue how hacking works.

I had a quick Craigslist listing question:

Whenever I try to add pictures / links to pictures / edit a previous listing, I am often taken to a phone verification page. Since I don't want to expose my number to any potential psychopaths / spam lists / *hackers*, is there a painless way to bypass or avoid this phone verification step, or am I just going to have to actually give them my number? (I've already tried having them text my Google voice number and Textfree number; both "couldn't be verified".)

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Somebody else answered this already. Told me I was pretty much out of luck.

This one is just kind of sad. A controlling wife who wont even let him have some NES games. :/

http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/vgm/2426040930.html

I read the previous listing for the Caltron 6-1 and hope his immaturity doesn't get in the way of my listing. I have an authentic, sealed, Caltron 6-1. It did not come from Mexico, nor South America, nor anywhere else but an Old Lady's garage in the Castleton Area awhile ago. Like I said, it is sealed, 20 years old an appears as though it has been sitting in a box for that time. Not a bad thing, but an instant glance would assure one this is the real deal. I recently took it to a video game shop in the area, and although he was not allowed to officially sign a document, he was 100% sure it was real. Itt is real, it is amazing, and I wish I could keep it for my collection....

However, my game room has now become a baby room and my wife makes the rules...So please do keep an eye out as my collection will be on here soon enough.

Heres the other post that he was talking about: http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/vgm/2404189855.html

Ladies an Gentleman. For one day only, I am offering to sell my copy of one of the four rarest Nintendo games in the world. The game is Caltron 6-1, google it and read the racketboy link to see that a loose copy of this game went for $1000!!!! This is one of my treasured items, it is completely legit and I have all the pictures you will ever need- text me 317-523-9875. At midnight tonight I will sell it to the highest bidder for the game.

This box does have the "vent holes" to the right of the mouse and the back of the box symbolizing the factory seal. I have pictures as well.

A little but about it if you don't know:

http://retro-treasures.blogspot.com/2009/02/caltron-6-in-1-nes.html?m=1

Serious collector's only. Will take Cash or Paypal since this could be a bit pricey as it is ONE OF THE RAREST GAMES IN THE WORLD.

Jeez, that is sad. My wife just makes me keep them stored unless they're being played - all these unsightly old video games might throw off the decor.

Found this one today randomly. It has nothing to do with video games, but its pretty funny. I really hope they aren't being serious. 0_o

My kid is having a birthday coming up soon, and there'll be a lot of children around, so I figured I'd better get a pony.

I suspect there'll be what - about 20 or 30 kids, and I thought a pony would fit the bill nicely.

Please let me know what you feed your pony - hay, grain, whatever, so I know what to expect.

Also, let me know if the pony gets a lot of exercise, or if it just kinda hangs out all day, so I know what kind of shape it is in.

If you do have a pony you could sell, please contact me, and then immediately start putting barbeque sauce in it's bedding or add some Lawry's to it's salt lick - I like to marinade it early and long, so that the flavor is at it's peak by the time I take possession.

If things work out well, I may contact you for other parties I'll be involved in; they kids can't tell the difference between ponies and burger, and usually they're a lot cheaper.

^Didn't know that people in Alaska ate ponies. I knew that fast food places are more expensive there, figured hamburgers were still cheaper though. lol

I have never seen a good deal on videogames in my area . . . here's one I just saw:
