YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

Went to TRU today. My 8 year old girl is suddenly into playing coop games with me. spent yesterday playing secret of mana on my snes together which she thought was the coolest thing. Went to pick up some Lego games to coop play with her since they have the B1G1 40% off the platinum hits currently.

Anyway since I only have 1 controller I knew I needed a second one for her. Found the Xbox 360 essentials pack blue stickered at $79.99. Comes with a black wireless controller, media remote control, HDMI cable, and a 3 month Xbox live card. After the 60% off it was $32. The cashier was impressed with my purchase, reminding me the 3 month XBL card was $25 by itself (not like I'd pay full retail for my XBL sub but still). I was just happy didn't have to pay full price for a controller!!

Didn't really see much else I was interested in, for Xbox or Ps3. Maybe will check back if and when green tags hit 75% but even if it doesn't I'm pretty pleased with my score.

I can guarantee the clearnace price shows up only at the register. I asked an employee for a Star Fox price check at the register and he told me it was $29.99 until I asked if he was sure because I saw it come up as $12 on the little credit card machine where it shows the price and he double checked and corrected himself saying that it indeed was on clearance for $12. Hand scanners used by the employees will only show the regular price and will not reflect the clearance price so if you call them you should ask them to please scan it at the register and to make sure to double check the price for you.

Scanning an item at the register just for a price check will still show the regular price. An employee has to hit an additonal button to show the sale price on their screen. Employees don't look at the pin pad so they will just see the regular price. Same with the hand held scanners. Hitting an additional button will show if the item is on "color" clearance or not, but will not show the final price.
Also, the self scanners that may be scattered throughout the store show both the original price and the clearance price.

Return policy for all electronics items is 30 days.
Are you sure video games are considered electronics? I know video game hardware is listed as an exception and subject to the 30 day window, but according to this excerpt from the policy, it looks like games are 90 days as long as they are still sealed.

Return Policy - In-store and Online
There are 3 easy ways to return an online order - You can return your order to your local Toys"R"Us or Babies"R"Us location or to our Online Return Centers either by using our Online Pre-Paid Return Label service or on your own. In any of these options, the following should be followed to ensure a timely and complete refund of your return:

Online purchases returned within 90 days to our online Returns Center by mail will receive a refund of the price of the item and any applicable taxes will be issued in the original form of payment used to purchase the item except when returning an online item to a store and when returning an item paid for with our Pay in Store payment option.
Items must be returned, in new, or like-new condition, and in its original packaging, and with all paperwork including manuals, assembly instructions and your packing slip, as well as all accessories to ensure full credit.
Please note the following items: Pre-recorded movies & music; computer & video game software; trading cards; and breast pumps must be returned in its original, sealed and unopened packages along with an in-store receipt or online packing slip for refund. If the packages have been opened, the items may only be exchanged for the identical items or titles.

Yeah under exceptions to the 90 day policy it lists hardware but not software.

Yes. I've dealt with video game returns past the 30 days the system would not return. I will double check on this tomorrow.

Went back to TRU today, which marks the 14th day since my initial purchase, and had no problem price adjusting.

Just got back.  My small haul from Manchester, NH TRU.  Prices after the discount.

- Starfox 3DS $12

- Naruto Powerful Shippuden 3DS $12

- Street Fighter X Tekken Vita $16

- Ultimate Marvel Capcom 3 Vita $12

- Zone of The Enders PS3 $12 (wasn't marked clearance,but rang up)

Last copies on all of them except Zone of The Enders.  Saw some other stuff marked but nothing that hasn't been mentioned before.

Already have UMvC3 so it's up for trade if anyone has a Icarus Uprising 3ds or Metal Gear HD Vita, if not I'll let another cag have it for cost plus shipping.

I ended up grabbing that digital Duck tales with the pin for $8. I need to embrace digital anyway lol.

Also bought:

- Sorcery PS3 for $6
- 9 of the Disney Infinity display 3 packs (totally caved on those after seeing them for weeks)
- John Cena/Ryback brawling buddies 2 pack for $22 for my son :)

In related news, my phone actually wanted to change Duck Tales to fuck Tales.

Just wanted to thank this thread.

So far I've picked up

Kid Icarus 3DS $16

Starfox 3DS $12

Wonderful 101 wiiu $12

And a junk load of cheap electronics and toys for xmas presents.

Oh yeah, I saw this for the first time today:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eset8bvx8hY

Was green tagged $20 but wasn't sure I wanted to spend $8 on it.  It was nostalgic and all but looked... cheap.  Like it's cool to make some throwback stuff but I think you can still achieve that with decent quality.  He shows the other figures in the video and they at least seem to look nicer.  Well at least Venkman and Egon.  They had a few so maybe if green goes down to 70% I'll pick it up.

Don't have KIU or MGSHD, but I'm interested in buying MvC3 if it comes to that.

Honestly, if it's something you want, I would pick it up if I were you. You wouldn't want to lose it forever over $2. :)

Eh, it's one of those things that at about $5 I could see just making an impulse purchase on but it's a little above that for me still. If they looked a little neater or better quality then I might have bit at $8.

I picked up a %60 off Coby Kyros 9.7" tablet... which I immediately returned because the Wifi doesn't work... like at all.

I was sitting inches away from my router and it would tell me "not in range".

Dammit.

Ive been looking for Kid Icarus 3DS, if anyone can pick up an extra or have an extra copy please let me know.
None of the toysrus around my way have it in stock.

Saw these 2 today...

Apologies if this is old news, pretty sure I did not already see these, but I picked up
Ninja Gaiden 3
Remember Me
DOA 5 (vanilla)
All for 360, green stickered.
Less than $22 out the door, and I am happy.

How much did DOA ring up at?

I'm trying to remember what percentage it was when I bought mine.

Most of those games people have been picking up are actually good high-demand games.  Kid Icarus and Star Fox were both pretty good games though there is also a "taste" factor to consider.  If you didn't like SF (I didn't) you won't care for the new one (I didn't).
Man I feel like I'm sleeping on this clearance are the games you guys picking up actually good or are you guys just buying them bc cheap?
Both. All games I wanted at the cheapest they'll ever be. I am a collector though, so my net is cast pretty wide.

I continue to find nada, 3DS-wise. :(

I was surprised to see it. The store I was in today had 3... Tomorrow, that'll be $102.
You're probably getting bombarded with PMs, but if you'd be willing to grab one of those in exchange for the $102, shipping, and some extra, I'd be one grateful CAG.

Nobody has mentioned the prize jewel of this sale Chocolatier DS for $4!!  Every store probably has about 10 copies left because it's so good.

Does anyone want to hook up a fellow CAG with the Kid Icarus game?

Would buy it for a reasonable price.

Also will give you an IOU, lol.

One of you greedy peeps surely bought alot of them lol

I'm on my way from KC to South Carolina and stopped at the TRU in Paducah, KY. Figured a small-town TRU would be a gold-mine, especially because it is not easily viewable from the highway, meaning CAGs on business trips might not make a stop for it. There was nothing. Less deals than any others stores I have been in, with the exception of the SC stores I normally go to (and that is just on average, haven't been to then since start of clearance).
They did have a sweet Frozen wristband that my daughter loves, which is more Frozen stuff than most stores are able to keep in-stock right now.

I see it there every time I go. The number of copies has not changed and I know because the cases are still in the same exact positions lol. I think one trip it did cause me to buy a bag of M&Ms.

In my experience the best stores are the ones in a middle-sized suburb just outside a bigger city area. Plenty of population in a mainly residential place = lots of regular business and the prices are usually a little lower than right in a major city area too.

That psp at $130 looks ways overpriced.  It looks like the core system, which should have a msrp of $100.  So 40% off would still be around $80.

My best finds are in the impoverished areas. No one has $ for food or bills so they don't give a shit about toys/games. They're too busy working two jobs to flip stuff on ebay.

maybe already discussed, but saw a NFS MW ps3 bundle (250gb) for $300 yellow clearance today (Olathe, KS). the remaining vita bundle is gone since last week, so no sweet sweet 40% off that.

also, I dunno if the original pink 3ds is on clearance too (big box with cradle) but there's one at the Olathe, KS store in the case.

happy hunting!

I'd pick up that PS3 bundle to have a backup PS3, as I have a launch model that died last year and I had to send it in to get repaired. No idea how long it'll last this time so I'm always leery.

How much is the bundle you're referring to? I've been looking to get a backup as well.
