YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

When people earlier were saying that they'll be more stuff added thruout the year, does that mean more stuff will be placed on clearance, or just more of ones that are already on clearance & that they're currently oos?
I'm interested in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, Spirit Camera, Silent Hill: Downpour, Army of TWO Devils Cartel Overkill Edition, FEAR 3, Lego LoTR. Should I order online & return/rebuy in store or go to the store & see if they'll order it for me, even though the ship-to-store option is greyed out? o_O sadly I only got an extra Jak & Daxter Collection & Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One on PS3 to trade or whatever lol.

The list was set back in March. Nothing new has been added since the second week of the event. Stores are still getting items from their warehouses which they have not had in stock before so it may seem like new items are being added.

Video games are shipped from a seperate warehouse than toys(Which is why Ship to Store is greyed out and is never available). You most likely will not see a restock of games. People that are saying their stores have games they didn't see on a previous visit, they could be returns, or they were probably sitting in the back until someone brought them out.

While it is possible a store may still get a delivery of older video game stock. I have yet to see an instance of this happening.

As far as ordering online and doing a return/rebuy. This is all dependent on a particular store on whether they will do it or not. Some will, some won't. It just depends on who you get to help you.

 
I came in late in the game and have been searching all over LA and OC, and had no luck at every store until today. I hit up the Puente Hills TRU and scored :360: Dead or Alive 5 for $4.50 (I have been looking for this for awhile) and :360: Remember Me for $6.00 (blind buy) and combined a $5 Rewards R Us dollar to make it $6.00 for both, not bad. :)

Indeed, it's rather hard to describe and the demo does a poor job of giving you a feel for it. I would probably watch some YouTube from a source you trust.

 
Got all of my clearance loot price adjusted via return/rebuy today, no problemo.  Just used the old Target standard of changing payment type/different credit card.  

A lot of these older DS/3DS games I never came across, mainly Spirit Camera, Ghost Trick, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Okamiden, and KH:DDD.  And of course, only the original download code + pin print of Ducktales Remastered is on clearance, so no love on the newer PS3 copies or the X360 and WiiU copies unfortunately.

Went to the store is Waterford CT. Didn't really have anything. Grabbed the last zone of the enders and left. Going to try other stores later this week.

Went back to the Vallejo store for clearance Skylanders. Ended up finding Doom Stone, to finish my swap Force team. Full price (obviously). They did have a lot of Skylanders merchandize on clearance, like watches and carrying cases for the figures. I got the very last Skylanders Giants 3DS with a portal and Punch Pop Fizz included. I only paid $8 for that, due to the store manager not being great at math. It rang up $60, even though the green tag said $50, and I guess that she gave me more than 70% off. Because 70% off of $50 is $15, and I paid a little less than $8 for it. I also got the original Skylanders for 3DS for the proper $15 price. I bought 3 of the giants that I didn't have, hoping that they would be on clearance like my Scarlet Ninjini was, but they rang up full price. They had a ton of original figures (aka series one). The only ones they didn't seem to have, were the ones that I needed to finish off my Skylanders Spyro, and Skylanders Giants collections. I'm hoping that stores will keep getting inventory until Trap Team comes out, and there won't be a drought of figures, like the few months leading up to Swap Force, when I would go into a store, and the shelves would be picked clean. Also saw some rare DS games. Like Diddy Kong Racing DS, and Super Princess Peach. They were full price though, and not on clearance. They also had 15 inch 1080p 60hz HDTVs, which also had the ability to be used as a computer monitor. They were Brown clearance, originally $100. I was tempted, but they are such an off brand, that the company name isn't even on the box. And, if I'm going to get a TV for my Wii U, I should probably get a good one with a decent sized screen. Though, if you have small children, and you want to let them have a cheap TV. That's a pretty good deal.

So anyone find a Nintendoland they are willing to trade? I checked around me saw some 3DS Skylanders, tons of COD and AC Wii U games and other games I dont remember there names. None of the sought after 3DS or Wii U games.

Silly question IMO. I bought the gamestop exclusive at retail price at launch, and a second one for the alternate jack in the box for $30 at best buy years later.
 
Is the 3DS version of Skylanders Giants Starter Pack the only one on clearance? My store does not have any of the Skylanders/Disney Infinity stuff marked and all the Giants Starter Packs are behind the counter.

 
My local store decided to just dump all their clearance games in a 4 foot high bin sitting in the middle of the video game section.  So you can't even see what games are at the bottom let alone reach them if you actually want to buy something.  I'm tempted to go in today and tell them I want the game at the bottom and make them dismantle the bin right there.  What a stupid idea and definitely not a good way to move this stuff quickly.  I mean, how long would it have taken for them to line them up in one of those larger display bins they have all over the store so you could easily pick out what you wanted?  5 minutes?

At the stores that I have been to. It is all versions of Spyro and Giants starter packs. Also the Smart Phone version is also on clearance. That one comes with the Platinum Treasure Chest, which is only available in that set. Also, be warned. My Spyro 3DS starter kit came with a micro USB for the portal of power. But, my Skylanders Giants 3DS set did not. Basically, if I hadn't got the 3DS Spyro. I wouldn't have been able to play giants. A lot of the sets that I'm finding are the giants portal owners packs. But, you might be able to luck out and find the others. Also, some of the Giants and Skylanders figures are on green clearance, but they aren't marked. I got a Scarlet Ninjini Giants figure for $4. I find that the older and dingier the Toys R Us location, the better the clearance deals. The original Toys R Us layout, with the games in a section walled off from the rest of the store, seem to have better finds for Skylanders than the newer Toys R Us stores with the open design, and the video games section in the very back.

you could always do what I used to do at walmart with they use those bins. Get a empty shopping cart and just toss the games on top into the empty shopping cart as you dig around the bin then when you done just leave the shopping cart next to the bin.

now that's only 50% off but the tag said 60% off so maybe it was a mistake on the sign.

So, this is my "haul" if you will. I go back and forth from Austin to Dallas all the time (live in Austin, School in Dallas) and I ended up hitting many different TRU along the way, One thing I will say is that the TRU in Waco, TX is old school. They still use the paper slip system for buying games. The last time I seen this in a TRU was back when I bought Sega games.

I do apologize for the long list of misc. things. I know some of you are interested in figurines/toys so I thought it would be worth it to post what I have found/purchased myself. I was happy to see the Gears of War Erector sets, as well as the E.T Hand Replica for so cheap! I will upload some pics when I have time.

Some stores I went to had 3-5ea of the Armadillo and Centaur tank. Only one store I went to had the battle set and I got the last one.

Make sure the 400 points and 12 months live cards are inside the box. Last time I bought one from TRU, there was nothing but the chat pad. I went back and the manager told me they were supposed to add the cards. But since it was on clearance and the price difference was too big, she refused to price adjust and refunded me in the end.

Man I WISH mine had any old AC stuff, they only have the new figures which I don't care about. My toysrus is very helpful and friendly and I've asked several people working there about when the next drop is. They all said even management doesn't know til the night before, when they get contacted by corporate. BUT they all said they expect it in the next week or two as even though the sale runs til end of year, they're sending everything back end of July. This could vary by store but I thought I would share
