YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

I think it's the older model of afterglow headsets. I bought the blue wireless a couple weeks back for 20 and saw the green wired and they were on clearance also. I went back earlier this week and both the blue and green pair I scanned were full price. I want to say the full price ones said prism or pristine or some kind of model name.

One of my stores has a Wii Skylanders bundle yellow tagged, and a plethora of cod wiiu green tagged. Anyone know if green is going up again?

Also I saw an old box pink 3ds at another toys r us but wasn't tagged, anyone know if it's on sale? I didn't have time to ask.
 
My TRU has some of the older greyish 3ds units, but were not marked.  That was a couple weeks ago, but I didn't see any tags on them today.  Mine was cleared out of pretty much everything.  Just a few games and those sony move charger stations.

 
Is anyone interested in the WiiU Starter Kit by dreamGEAR? I was out of town and saw one, figure I would pick it up just in case.

Contains HDMI extension cable, large stylus, wrist strap, charge & view stand, earbuds, screen protector, and cleaning cloth.

I'd prefer to trade for something my son could use for his 2DS, but I'm open to other things. I suppose I could sell it for cost+shipping, but that's boring.
 
Yesterday I returned the $5 copy of Game Party U I bought almost a month ago since I read that the game was a stinker. As far as clearance games, there wasn't much left, mostly Wii U games. I had a $5 rewards coupon that I had earned from the card, so I was able to pricematch Game and Wario which wasn't on clearance to $25.53, which was the Walmart online price, and then use the $5 coupon toward the purchase. I had walked around in the store for nearly a half hour trying to find something to buy so my coupon wouldn't go to waste. But for future reference, you can do both, pricematch and use a reward coupon. Also, I saw that TRU got in the Day One editions of the new One Piece PS3 and 3DS games. I thought they were GameStop exclusive. I guess not.
 
Not sure if I'm missing something but I called my local TRU (only plausible one to go to) and they had some of the Wii U Nyko Pro Controllers but he said they were ringing up as full price.  I could have sworn people were buying them for around $7 but maybe I was confusing it with a different item?

The Nyko wii u pro controller chargers are on clearance...even though they laughably don't charge with Nyko wii u pro controller...which imo is better than the official Nintendo one that generally costs 3 times as much.

The Nyko wii u pro controller chargers are on clearance...even though they laughably don't charge with Nyko wii u pro controller...which imo is better than the official Nintendo one that generally costs 3 times as much.
 
Oh that makes more sense haha.  Luckily it's only $20 on Amazon which is a price I'd bite at.  How does the controller charge w/o that separate add on?  They wouldn't make an add on necessary I'd hope....

Also would you guys recommend the controller?  I really just want a controller that matches the 360 layout.

These controllrs have been showing up on groupon regularly for $12.99 with like $3.99 shipping but free shipping when ypu order 2. Shipping does take forever as ive been waiting 2 weeks and it finally shipped thursday

Not bad at all but PM'ing it at TRU and getting it instant along with MK8 is a bit more appealing. Appreciate the help though!

Any chance that you can snap a picture of the yellow tagged bundle? The service rep at TRU said that only the white 8gb Wii U is on clearance. I've saw a black 32gb wii u but it rang up full price. Was hopeful that it is on clearance like the $99 sears clearance a few months back.

 
Guys, the Vita version of one piece red was exclusive, not the 3ds and ps3 copies...

The wii u version was digital only from what I recall.

Burbank TRU: Pretty much cleared out and piled with shovelware. Picked up zombie U for 15 and cradle for 3. Would have loved for more ps3 games and Wii U accessories but we are getting close to the end

 
I forgot about the Regular Wii Bundle. That must be like $34.99 now. Thats a great deal for a sealed blue wii. I haven't seen that in a store in a LONG time. Can't believe someone saw that. Still wondering what green is going to go up to. Is it going to be 80%, 85% ror will they just do us all a favor and go 90%!!!! C'mon, waiting to grab those Wii U titles for $6 each! At my local store a lot of the toys are selling out. Still a good selection of games though.

 
Thankfully the only item I see in-store that I want isn't even clearance-tagged, though they are clearance-priced, so the chances of them going away are slim.

So in the clearance isle I spotted a pink 3ds marked "as-is" and it was marked down to something like $136 (or something close to that).  Was just wondering if once something is marked to "as-is" if you will ever see another mark down?

probably cause if it marked as is then it more then likely is not even brand new and probably was a return or something.

Thanks for providing tips! I was able to snag Star Fox 3DS, Kid Icarus, Resident Evil 3DS, and a butt load of other games because of this. Thanks for your help Primm!

 
Checked Monrovia and Puente Hills TRU nothing worthwhile.

Thanks I had no idea, I was under the impression that it was like Romance Dawn being only exclusive to GS. Interestingly, One Piece Unlimited World Red for the 3DS is also being sold at Target stores now too I spotted a few in stock today, but they don't carry the PS3 version.

I don't know why I'm seeing 80% still circulating about in the last pages of this topic but my store is running 75% and 90% already.

The bad news is though, all that's left basically are age old PS2 games, 360 Kinect games and basically the skylanders.

I was lucky to get Thundercats for DS at $2.49 the other day which was amazing. Oh and it is anywhere else but my toysrus is also selling COD: Ghosts for Xbox One for 75% off from $59.99. Is that the usual? I was pretty surprised to see that.

I thought it was only on clearance for Wii U.

Kinda was hoping for 90% off on Green tomorrow so I could get Codpiece Ghosts for $6 because I don't even know if I'll get twelve bucks worth of entertainment out of it.

I already have it on 360 from a Target PM/Pre-order several months ago, payed 10 bucks for it when I was originally gonna skip Ghosts like I had MW3 and BO2. I really enjoyed my step back into the mindless fun of COD shootan. Bought the Season Pass and some other microtransactions [some minor superficial stuff] and am happy with my purchase. I've put over 3 days of time into the game and haven't even touched single player campaign or Extinction mode. I'd say I've gotten my money's worth, since I value my time at $1/hour or less. I too was hoping for 90% so I could grab one. I don't know if I'm okay with paying $12 for a game I already own, but I'm also considering buying and leaving it sealed until Green hits 90% to do a return/rebuy with a few other games I'm sitting on.

Long story short, if you like shooters and can play online, you'll get your money's worth.
