I'll save the OTT with this delightful song about Albi, the racist dragon.
Reposted because I need another laugh.

Don't shoehorn OTT into the titles, it's fucking stupid.

I thought we got away from that nonsense.
The special people still do it.

Mainly before they go get on the short bus.

My mom needs a life. She was just complaining to me about how "41 year old men are acting like teenagers." She was talking about people on an NFL message board. WTF? Who complains about idiots on the internet?

Everybody does it. You're not one of the cool kids if you don't.

No, she's just completely and utterly obsessed with the internet. It's really all she does all day. Doesn't cook or clean while my dad works 60 hours a week and comes home to a pigsty and TV dinners. I like being home, but I think I'll be relieved when I get back to the dorms, so I won't have to wade through trash to walk anywhere in my house. I've tried cleaning before, but a week later it's all the same anyway.

Does it matter an OTT is an OTT.

From the last OTT

Can't be as easy as a Roomba. My grandma was looking at getting one but my uncle (her son of course) thought she might trip on it so it was nixed.

Great now Sci-Fi channel has a new horror flick they're going to show on Friday night. Thanks Wubb. :)

Afternoon OTT

^^ Yeah, but I bet it would really suck. *rimshot*

Saw the cab of a truck burning up on the way to the library today. Entire thing was engulfed in flames, pretty crazy.

Then the library was fucking insane. Kids everywhere and the line at the checkout counter was a dozen or so people long. I just dropped off my returns and left.

Shrike and lionhe...I mean, corrosive, I knew that I shouldn't have posted that but damn, they are hurtin'.

Damn town council meeting last was three hours and I was typing nearly the whole time.

I quit going to my local libary a few years back. It turned from a decent place. To a babysitting/everyone is only coming for the internet vagrant hangout. I figured if I want a book I'll just get it off amazon's marketplace.

My library is awesome, so I can't complain. I'm hoping it's just a "Whee the kids are out of school, let's get them some books!" thing and dies down in a week or two.

For example, a couple years ago I noticed they had a couple books in a series, but not all of them. I donated one of the ones they didn't have, plus suggested they buy more and fill in the other gaps and a month or two later I noticed that they had in fact done that.

I used to go there at least every week, but then I started buying (very cheap) books at yard sales and thrift stores, plus just stopped reading as much as I used to. Trying to turn that around.

Not going to the gym today. For some reason my legs feel a bit tired out, though the muscles don't really hurt. Maybe I worked out too hard yesterday? Gonna go tomorrow though unless they hurt more. Maybe I'll see that guy again, roffles.

EDIT: On second thought, I guess my muscles do kinda hurt. Whatever.
Eh, I sort of agree with him. I don't want to see this type of film die, and the little resurgence it's had has been nice.
It should die, it's the laziest bullshit ever. To call the torture porn horror is an insult to the genre, really.

Man you fuckers are going by too fast for me to keep up. Lemme eat lunch, will ya!

Things to address:

Meg White - I like her minimalism. I read a book by Chuck Klosterman where he interviewed them. It was exactly as I imagined - Jack was incredibly eccentric the whole time, and Meg apparently just sat there, cross legged on the floor, in (I believe) rainbow socks, holding a pillow. She didn't talk much, but it sounded so damn cute. Seemed to mimic what she does during the music - sort of a compliment you know is there, but it's very simple and almost illusory. I like it. She's not...who is a famous drummer...Keith Moon, but I like it. At least she's got some damn rhythm.

Senorwoohoo - Thought of a song that I'd consider experimental/fun - "My Doorbell." However it's much more melodic than other ventures, and I sort of liked it after listening to it for a while.

Re: Little Room - Ok, 50 seconds long? I listened to it once years ago. Give me a break, dayum. I'll go back and listen to it again. It's definitely not "Hardest Button to Button," which I actually enjoy.

DoK - Funny how you phrased it - "Who complains about idiots on the internet?" Because if I emphasize the first part, it could be written and understood as "Who complains about idiots while on the Internet?" which is something everyone on the intermotronsz does. You can kill our bastard language of English and it's asshole grammar enforcers like myself later if you'd like.

@Work - Haha, I remember when I left here I knew the tech queue would explode out of control, and it did exactly that, and now they've asked me to work on it, something I was expressly forbidden to do. Oh well. I guess I'll frump around on it for a day or two.

No, she's complaining about them to me, outside of the interwebs. Which is pathetic.

I know, I'm just being a jerk about the potential ways one could read it, as if I were somehow not privy to the additional information you provided.

Clearly this is only amusing to me, which is what I generally strive for.

It's fairly hard to defend movies in which the main attraction is torture, so I'm not going to. I do love them though (not all of them), and I want to see them continue to be made. There's a certain awesomeness to finding new and creative ways to torture/kill people.

I'll still take a good zombie flick over torture any day though. And regardless of whatever, The Devil's Rejects is the best horror film in the past several years, and there are probably people who would consider that a torture movie, as people are tortured in it.

Speaking of books and reading, yesterday I stopped by my local used bookstore and picked up my first Harry Potter book along with some other stuff. Now the hard part is finding the will to actually start reading.

I wouldn't really consider the Saw series to be "torture porn," per se. The first one was actually pretty psychological, and it just happened to be pretty gory. The next two were more about the gore, but the various traps and ways the deaths were setup were pretty good and intricate in Saw II, but Saw III wasn't very good. It was a huge departure from the first Saw. The great thing about the first one is that no one, even the audience, really has any idea what's going on.

And if the Thanksgiving trailer is any indication, great things will come from Eli Roth. Hostel was somewhat disappointing, and I haven't seen the sequel, but I would hardly call them shitty. Cabin Fever wasn't that great a horror film, but it was hilarious in parts.
