Not really an anime buff, but figured this info might be useful to some. Just saw these yesterday at Big Lots, there could be more as my memory isnt perfect. All were $10:

Angel Tales with series box/2 plushies
Galaxy Angel with series box/pencil boards and something else?
Scrapped Princess 1 with box and big ass chick figurine
Scrapped Princess 6 with box and 2 smaller figurines
Dice Season 1
Dice Season 2
Dice Vol 1 with some figure looking thing
IGPX Season 1
IGPX Vol 1 with T-Shirt and something else
Yukikaze Vol 1 2 Disc LE
.Hack Sign Vol 6 LE
Argentosoma Complete Collection
Yojimbo Complete Collection

I think I'm forgetting one or two, but thats all the boxes at least

I saw a similar list off DVD talk. Unfortunately, I didn't find any of that stuff when I checked by Big Lots a couple days ago. I was really hoping to get Argentosoma Complete Collection, since I saw part of it on Comcast On Demand and they never finished it. I did get the Full Metal Alchemist Movie, Steamboy, and Stargate Atlantis Rising.
 
Where I live now the nearest Big Lots is 45 or more minutes away.
Where I'm moving there are 3 within 20 minutes of me.
Oh well thanks for the list.
Maybe I'll have some relatives scope them out for me.

I wish I could find that Argentosoma collection for $10. My Big lots rarely has any good dvds.
 
IGPX is great. If I go near a Big Lots, I think i'll have to check it out, thoguh I don't think there's a close one near me

I've seen various movie box sets at mine (Rocky 1-5 $13, Species 1-3 $7, hannibal/silence of the lambs $5, etc). Never seen any anime though.

For folks in the Rome, Georgia area, your Big Lots had a lot to chose from. You just have to do some digging.
 
Wouldnt mind a galaxy angel box or angel tales box if anyone can snag an extra one for me too.

found a Big Lots near me. Their DVD section in general was pathetic...
Only one little 4 sided island shelf thing with dvds and pc games on it. Saw a bunch of old movies for $3, and one anime dvd also for $3 which was some random volume of Dragonball GT...

:(
 
funny story,

my uncle bought like 3 of these sets and he doesn't even watch anime. he called me the other day and he was like "i bought these anime dvds and their reaaaaaaaally good. you can have them when i get done watching them."

im puttin my money on the uncle getting: Kaze No Yojimbo, IGPX, and Argentosoma cuz those are pretty much the only complete c ollections (at least...that i've seen at my BL)

I was able to snag one of each of these at a Big Lots in Williamsburg, VA when I was at a meeting yesterday...

They still had about three of each left. I'll have to find my receipt to give you the exact location.

The only reason I bought those items above was for the figurines/extras in the the boxes. I already have the Galaxy Angel series (brick version).

There are like 7 Big Lots within my commute to university, so I'll try a few tomorrow.

But for some reason, I really doubt any of them have anime DVDs. :p
 
I can't score any of these sets. Damn it.
But, I did notice a few DVDs retagged for 2.00. No anime, but I did get an interesting looking Don Cheadle film "Manic" for 2.00.
