Walmart just rolled back their exclusive Rock Band AC/DC track pack to 29.92. The PS2 version is at 19.92.

AC/DC Rock Band - Wii - 29.92
AC/DC Rock Band - PS3 - 29.92
AC/DC Rock Band - PS2 - 19.92
AC/DC Rock Band - XBOX 360 - 29.92

Its in their new weekly circular on the front page as well.

Also the "Fan Pack" that comes with your choice of game, T-shirt and a AC/DC No Bull DVD is also 29.92. I picked one up myself and found this at another walmart as well.

Sorry for the shitty scan, i tried my best.

Give it a few weeks, it'll eventually drop to $10. The game simply is NOT selling. At this point they probably just want them off the shelves and out of their stores.

$30 price tag means $1.67 per song. That's cheaper than if they were offered as DLC, and there's 250 achievement point thrown in as icing. I'll bite.

Will need to see if the price drop moves any product. If sales are still slow/stagnant, I'll wait for $20-25.

Huh, I know it was overpriced but its an exclusive. I don't know that they ever dropped the price on their exclusive Chibi-Robo DS game.

$40 was absurd to begin with...really tempted to pick this up, but like others $20 seems better. Isn't the track pack $30 and come with more songs?

If you are asking if there is anyway to download these tracks, the answer is no.
Anyone know if the import code can work on more than 1 PS3? I want to share it with my friend for Rock Band 2.
nope i picked up a used copy at gamestop for 20 and the code didnt work on my ps3

When you buy the game it comes with a code to allow you to download them. You probably meant without buying the disc...

Okay, but that's assuming you want every single song. I want maybe half of them and I'm willing to pay a premium for it, but if it was DLC, I could pick and choose.

They didn't. I found a store over Thanksgiving that had several of these in their case.

Hell, the Wal-Mart by me still has a crapload of Nintendo 64 games sealed... they never drop prices on anything.

The 360 and Wii version dont reflect the price online for some reason, but its in store as well. Plus its in their new weekly circular on the front page.
Bummer the 360 version's not on sale (online anyway) -- I might have gone for it for this price but I'm not walking into a Walmart store to save $10!

I know OP said its also on rollback for 360 in store but can anyone else confirm it? Closest Walmart is kinda a trek so just trying to make sure.

I saw this, good thing i sold my copy on eBay yesterday, especially with the 5 Cent listings they were offering yesterday. Once you download the tracks into RB or RB2 the game is useless.

Wal-Mart doesn't tend to drop prices on games for a few reasons. For one, most price drops are at the discretion of the local manager. Second, they tend to do closeout bins rather than incremental price drops. Just think of the piles of GBA titles they had a year or so ago. And third, for such a big company Wal-Mart can easily just move stock around. Not selling here? Just send it on to another store, or sell it off to a closeout store like Big Lots. They're much less dependent on dropping prices like other stores are.

This is such an idiotic thing to say. Unless you shop at exclusive boutiques only, then you are shopping at stores that simply wish they were Wal-Mart (Target, EB Games, etc.). As for the argument about the people at Wal-Mart being the "unwashed masses," guess what? Those other stores wouldn't stay in business if it weren't for the same masses shopping at them. It's simply a way for low-class people make themselves feel better about their lives by pretending where they shop matters.

Remember kids, the download code included in this package does NOT need the disc to download the songs to your HDD. I played the songs on the disc, then sold the disc and the code separately on Ebay and made a small profit.

Hmm, I might have to grab this now
Me and my brother were thinking about splitting the price to $20 each, but $15 a piece sounds even better :p

Just paid full price for this for 360 yesterday (12/10) do you think if I go back with the receipt they would honor the price?

If they don't do a buy/return.

It's in their own weekly circular on the front page and they usually have the adds in the store as well. So there shouldn't be a problem. The add clearly says wii, 360, ps3 29.92.

Just realized i have a scanner. Will add it to the OP.

A friend of mine rented this at family video for $3.50 - apparently he was the first to rent it and they included the game booklet with it, so he tried out the code and sure enough it downloaded the tracks for him. I don't believe blockbuster/hollywood video would rent this title (since it is a wal-mart exclusive, unsure who their suppliers are) so if you have a family video around you that might be a way out - for what it is worth though, he is kinda pissed he spent the $3.50 on it; he played the hell out of it and got all the achievement points, but he apparently didn't care for them much. I don't know if I would or not, but I would sure take the challenge for $3.50.

I haven't gotten around to opening my one that I bought on BF morning, so I'll have to do a return re-buy on this one because WM will only offer price adjustments within 14 days, but my local store won't do it for anything bought on BF.

Sheesh, guess I touched a nerve there eh elwood? I'm a big fan of online shopping in general, and the Walmarts I've been to have been crowded and not particularly clean, so I prefer to avoid them unless the deals are good. If you happen to leave near a nicer Walmart, or aren't bothered by long lines or dingy surroundings, then good for you.

I will agree with you that the other stores you mention would love to be Walmart, since those guys pull in money hand over fist and seem to be recession-proof. They're clearly filling a need (for you and lots of others) and I've got no problem with that. But as for me, I'm not driving to a store I don't like being in to save $10.

How accurate is the web site's in-store availability? The Wal-Mart that's relatively closest to me isn't showing up, but the next one which is scary and dark and dirty with a bunch of crazy people does show it.

Thanks for the head's up, OP. I'm holding out for this to get cheaper, though, considering how much I've spent over the last few weeks.

$30 is still pricey for me, especially these are "live" tracks so i don't know how well they would sound compare to the other RB songs.

Yeah, but it's the Castle Donnington DVD tracks. They pretty much rule. :D

If that statement about not needing the disc to download the songs is true, I'd be willing to sell the code to someone if I bought the game....I'd rather have the disc.

Sounds like AC/DC's crowd.

Just in case you don't understand, without the code, you can only play the disc as a stand-alone game. You cannot import the songs from the disc to use in Rock Band 2. You HAVE TO have the code to download the 700MB track pack.

So with only the disc, it means switching between the AC/DC disc and Rock Band 2 disc whenever you want to play certain songs.
