Games you still want to be made on the DS

A new entry into the Zelda: 4 Swords series would be great with the wifi.

And, you know, a standard Zelda update is always appreciated.

Katamari Damacy... but I doubt we'll ever see it. It would be so perfect for the stylus, too.
Other than that, maybe some old Lucasarts point-and-click games, although I think Maniac Mansion was the only one released to Nintendo.

Some more old school RPGs would be nice too.

MORE PHOENIX WRIGHT DAMNIT

also, stylus controlled day of the tentacle (cause it includes the old PC maniac mansion in that game)

and also a verical or horizontal scrolling shooter in which you control/drag your ship with the stylus.. why hasn't anyone done this yet?

Final Fantasy VII, VIII & IX (You know its only a matter of time)
Super Smash Brothers
StarFox 64
New 3D Zelda game
Myst
Full Throttle
Sam and Max
StarCraft
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire + Sequal
Secret of Mana
Mario Paint
StarOcean II
F-Zero
Trace Memory 2
NintenCats
Metroid V
PSO
Pokemon MMORPG
More FPSs, RPGs and MMORPGs

A REAL sequel to Lunar
Monster Rancher
Super Smash Brothers
Chrono Trigger
Xenogears
Earthbound (finally a sequel? I'm keeping my fingers crossed)
Dragon Quest Monsters
Grandia

A new awesome single-player Zelda game, not a four swords game. I want an epic quest on the go!

A good casino game, better yet a Nintendo brand casino game with Super Mario Slots, and all other games with Nintendo themes.

A new Warioware, Touched was a little bit on the boring side.

Some games I want to see a remake, sequel, etc.:

Tecmo Super Bowl (NES)
Cannon Fodder (DOS/GBC)
Metal Gear Solid (GBC/NES)
Medal of Honor Infiltrator (GBA)

Brought to America:
SD Gundam Generation games... (The PS2 of Gundam Generation CE is so awesome)
Super Robot Taisen (Licensing issues... but the above could work)

Punch Out DS
Zelda DS
Double Dragon DS
Contra DS
Smash Bros DS
Final Fight DS
Street Figher DS
Elevator Action DS
River City Ransom DS
2D Metroid DS

Pikmin
Mario Party
Crazy Taxi
Virtua Tennis
Quake
Civilization
RollerCoaster Tycoon
Chu Chu Rocket
Broken Sword
Wild Arms
MegaMan Legends

The ones in bold could be straight ports for all I care as long as they're well done.

Great suggestions so far! I've gotta double-up on some of 'em:

-- More Phoenix Wright
-- An original Zelda ala Minnish Cap
-- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles w/ WFC capability (it's coming, I know it!)
-- Broken Sword and any other great graphical adventures
-- A Trace Memory game that doesn't suck
-- Pikmin

Original 3D Legend of Zelda DS
Original Super Smash Brothers DS WFC
Original Star Fox DS WFC
Dungeons and Dragons RPG (Baldur's Gate 1 maybe)
Pokemon TCG WFC
Magic the Gathering WFC
Chrono Break
Chrono Trigger (port or 3D remake)
StarCraft WFC
Unreal Tournament WFC
Secret of Mana

I don't get why people keep saying this...I think it would be quite bad with a stylus. Either you simply tap where you want to go (like in Animal Crossing DS), or you constantly "rub" the katamari in the direction you want it to roll. The first case would be too boring; the second would get tiriing and tedious after a level or two.
Resident Evil 2
Couldn't agree more. Why not remake one of the best games in the series, instead of the original we've seen remade 50 times?

The possibilities for the DS are staggering. Whole new genres can be created.

I would like to see the original Half Life brought over to the DS.

FFVII would be OK by me as well.

I am really stoked about Resident Evil DS - but I am hesitant at the same time because the screenshots I have seen really look gritty as hell - like PSOne or even Saturn gritty! Its all about gameplay and ambience but still the screenshots look questionable IMHO. Is the game fully 3D or is it Prerendered?

Zelda OOT and MM would be nice.

So many games - so little time....

I doubt squaresoft would be porting FFVII over to the DS, as compressing 3 cds worth of data into a DS cartridge is kinda impossible. As for remaking, I really doubt Squaresoft would do such a thing, maybe on the PS3. Half Life is another thing I doubt will happen. Unreal Tournament? o_O. Then again im thinking ports, It would have to be a total remake. Whats the processor speed on the DS like, 88mHz? Most of the titles people are listing would either have to me a complete remake, or a new game in general. The DS hardware is kinda limiting though.

Zelda 64 OoT, StarFox and Megaman 64, now those are games I would like to see happen. The DS hardware and can handle games like those, and I hope to see them released on the DS.

The one I'd want the most is already coming out soon (Super Monkey Ball), so I guess either a Katamari Damacy installment or GTA in some form (3D GTA though, no crappy sky view).

:applause:

I'd also like Punch Out, a remake of Star Fox 64 (could be a port for all I care), and Earthbound. What I want more than anything is online Pokemon, but thankfully that's already on it's way. :D
I'm hoping for a Starfox DS and a Wi-Fi Street Fighter. What are your wants?
Yes, is defenitly wish that Nintendo does a remake or port for Starfox. Shouldn't that be possible, even with the FX Chip it had?
Common Regies.....:)

Civilization
Metroid II DS
Counter-Strike DS (and Revolution for that matter!!!!!!)
Advance Wars DS Wifi enabled
Bomberman DS Wifi enabled
The Next Castlevania DS
Nintendogs Wifi enabled
Download service (Skins, Demos, Old skool Games, Gameboy & Gameboy color games)

thats all i can think of right now

A new Tecmo Super Bowl (hell, I'll take a port of the NES version). It'd be cool to pick the play on the bottom screen, and possibly even design your own plays using the stylus.

battle chess

i made this awhile ago on a old thread of the same nature

and the word for word copy from two posts...

so today i had a great idea for a ds game that would be fun and educational... BATTLE CHESS! think about it, control the chess board and move pieces with the stylus or dpad on the bottom screen, and see the battles on the top screen. throw in multiplayer mode and you have yourself the funnest chess game in over a decade. see, doesnt this picture make you want it!

i just thought about my sweet battle chess game and i realized that you could make it rpg style and have the player gain xp through beating friends or the computer, then they could upgrade their pieces, for different looks and battles and stuff, not to make them strong since you cant in chess. but that would give even more insentive to get the sweet chess pieces and stuff... yeah... im going to make this game myself if i have to

i still think its a good idea, even though i think i was tipsy when i did that second post

/\ Actually upgrading the pieces might be that little extra that is needed in a chess game...

I still think a Mirco Machines game would rock.. Man I loved the old Nes micro machines game.

That's a cool idea. I can't play computer Chess though - I don't concentrate as much as I should and I have a harder time thinking 3-4 moves in advance...

Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy all would be better on Gameboy Advance with a single screen in my opinion.

I would be interested in knowing how Blast Corps and Pilot Wings 64 carry over to the touch screen. Pokemon Snap might be neat with the touch screen too. Tetris Attack would be really nice with wireless, otherwise puzzle league on GBA is good enough for me.

iheartmetal

Or what about different finishing moves? That was always the cool thing when battle chess was new. instead of outifts or whatever you could get some kind of alternate moves... maybe even press a button during the fight to initiate a particular move! It would take a small bit of the boring out of it.

Also one of my old time favorites was archon. That for the DS would be cool.
A baseball game or basketball game with a franchise of course. Also, the truck game where you used nitros??
Off-Road!

another good idea. battlechess is getting better and better.

Waverace (A port of Waverace 64 with some new tracks would be great)
Crazy Taxi (GBA port had potential but the frame rate was too slow)

I'd like a Wi-Fi version of Ikaruga or some similar verticle shooter. But the Ikaruga dynamic would work best for mulitplayer I think.

You did play nanostray correct?

Its obviously not the smae but it is a shooter.

The one series that practically SCREAMS OUT to be ported over in some fashion to the DS is LEMMINGS. It's too bad that Sony owns Psygnosis...
