Zelda and Luigi Nintendo 3DS XL consoles revealed!

Yeah, I want to say it was maybe released in Japan late Spring/early Summer. I've definitely seen it before because I remember how hideous it looked and reminded me of camouflage.
 
Zelda one is pretty sharp. No way I'd bother selling my blue XL to get it, but it's the first of the special edition ones I've liked.
 
Is there any Luigi game planned for this year?  Not sure why Luigi wasn't released around Dark Moon or the M&L release.

The Zelda one might be the best 3ds to come out.  Luigi one is good too.

Also wtf is that website OP posted, is it some small blog site?  Probably Europe based to get the news early (edit South Africa)

Nintendolife and GONintendo both posted around 5am.  It seems big name sites just got news as well (Joystiq, Gametrailers, Gamespot)

I know this the "year of Luigi".  It would have made more sense to release the Luigi 3ds around the time of a Luigi game.  Then again this is NoE.  I wouldn't be surprised if NoA announces it for next year as well.

 
I like the Zelda one... but will stick with my red one. I wish they did that for the WiiU special edition. I would have traded in my launch console for gold.

Yeah this is probably what happens when they have gamers without the background in key positions or business/marketing people with no gaming knowledge!

 
gonintendo linked to a source (which linked another source) that the Zelda bundle will be released in Australia on Nov 23.  Not sure if there are packaging differences as Australia also uses PAL, but it's looking more likely that NA will announce this soon.

I love Nintendo.  They announce a Luigi console in the UK, and a new Luigi console bundle in the US, but rather than using the Luigi console, they just throw in a blue one.

Well, the Luigi Console is XL and the Bundle is for a non-XL 3DS.

but yes WTF where they thinking.

Why not bundle it with the Purple 3DS.

Why do they say, "AC adapter not included?" I know the regular 3DS can just plug the USB-mini port on the back & charge it like an AC adapter would, so does this mean that's not possible on XL (or is it just a region thing)? Thanks.

Ahh...that makes me feel better. Got worried for a min. I like the Zelda one, but the Luigi on just doesn't seems like Luigi to me. It looks like the Animal Crossing one, that looked out of place, as well. Not too fond of that style, I guess.

 
Question:

I've seen news of a Luigi 3DS (original size) bundled with Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon game. Is there anything different/special about that 3DS or is it just a standard purple 3DS? Or is it maybe an off-shoot or purple or blue like the SM3DL Holiday Bundle 3DS was an off shoot red color.

Also someone said there is a 3DS XL Luigi Model coming out. Is that just in Europe or will it be coming to the U.S.? Because right now the only thing I've heard is the 3DS / Luigi Mansion bundle

 
Would have ordered from Gamestop, but didn't want to pay the crazy shipping.  Now I have it preordered at Best Buy with in store pickup.  Still wish I didn't have to pay tax, but oh well.
