So I take it not awful like you originally thought from the trailers?Holy shit, this movie was totally awesome. I loved every minute of it. Being a huge Godzilla fan, this movie was right up my alley and makes me miss new Godzilla movies. I hope the new one doesn't suck as much balls as the last American one.
Ha! You bastard. And yes, I was very wrong.Saw it again in IMax 3D this morning with a different friend and still enjoyed it. I Still can't help but grin like an idiot asEasily my favorite movie this year.soon as they use the elbow rocket and the sword for the first time

Sorry, couldn't help myself.Ha! You bastard. And yes, I was very wrong.
Broke my heart seeing this on the box office. My midnight showing was only half full but my buddies and I are going to watch it again on dbox tomorrow. Hope it picks up cause a part 2 already makes me giddy.Sorry, couldn't help myself.
And Grown Ups 2 made more then Pacific Rim on Friday. What the is wrong with this country? Giant ing robots fighting monsters and great reviews versus an Adam Sandler film with a 7% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and reviews all saying in a film with Chris Rock and other celebrities is over shadowed by Taylor Lautner in the comedy department. Seriously, what the goddamn ?!
lol thats sadSorry, couldn't help myself.

That's a discount! $19 a person in Vegas. Worth every penny in this case.I Never eat in theaters. I'll be damned if I can pay those prices and not feel guilty, especially when I spent $16.25 on an IMax 3D screening.
Was worth every penny, but I also try to be a cheap ass in any other way I can. That's a discount! $19 a person in Vegas. Worth every penny in this case.
That's why I always go to the movies on a Saturday for the first showing of the day, that and it's rarely crowded. My IMAX ticket cost me $12.50 at 9:20 AM with maybe 30 people in the theater. Was worth every penny, but I also try to be a cheap ass in any other way I can.
And $19?! Jumping ass crackers! Sorry for those fees you get.
In Vegas, the theatres never get packed. Maybe that's why it costs extra? Most the movies are inside casinos so that could be another reason... In Texas opening day to a movie like Pacific Rim would be jam packed. In Vegas we had about 25-30 people at the 4pm showing on opening day. The price is fixed for IMAX too, including matinee showing and they don't even give you the normal military discount for some reason. That's why I always go to the movies on a Saturday for the first showing of the day, that and it's rarely crowded. 3 Hours? No... Maybe an extra 15 minutes. It's epic but I don't need 3.5 hours of it! We don't need a LOTR EE version of this movie.I'm looking forward to the probable 3 and half hour director's cut Blu-ray. The special features on this will be awesome.
Yeah...save your gas money. It will probably cost you more on gas than the ticket alone.Looked up D-Box and it seems like the closest one is about 2 and a half hours away. Not sure it is worth driving that far to see a movie on D-Box.
So uh what happened toWas expecting some kind of retributionblade head
I'm curious as to how that will go since the movie wrapped things up pretty conclusively though I guess it's not hard to find more different excuses for giant robots fighting. Though I'd also be totally fine with the adventures of Hannibal Chau.I hope this movie does well. Del Toro wants to do a sequel but thats up to assholes who are skipping this movie and watching grown ups 2.
yuck
Supposedly if he does do a sequel he might want to tie it in with the game they're releasing. Yeah I have no idea how they do a sequel with the way it ended.I'm curious as to how that will go since the movie wrapped things up pretty conclusively though I guess it's not hard to find more different excuses for giant robots fighting. Hellboy 2 says otherwise in terms of Del Toro making a sequel that improves over the first in every way and I still wish we would get a Hellboy 3.There won't be a sequel and nor should they. It's all downhill if they were to go that route. I don't see Guillermo del Toro making a sequel. Instead he'll make something else worth seeing.
5 dollar tuesdays/wednesdays FTW!If it makes you guys feel better, I was at the first showing today at noon and the theater was about 45% full.
I agree with this every which way.Hellboy 2 says otherwise in terms of Del Toro making a sequel that improves over the first in every way and I still wish we would get a Hellboy 3.
Try and see it before Friday in IMax since Fast and Furious with snails is taking over IMax come Friday. Totally goddamn worth it.I agree with this every which way.
Still haven't seen the movie yet, but planning to soon. It sounds amazing.
I don't have an IMAX anywhere nearby, so that's out of the question, buuuut I will definitely bring someone along to high five. I'm planning on having sore hands after it's done.Try and see it before Friday in IMax since Fast and Furious with snails is taking over IMax come Friday. Totally goddamn worth it.
Also bring a friend who also wants to see it so you can have someone to high five after certain scenes.
My friend is curious after all the praise I heaped on the movie and is now agreeing to go see it with me, but I told her she has to high five me whenever I demand it even if she doesn't get it because goddamn I want to high five so bad during parts of the film. Like the wide grin cannot be contained during certain scenes and thus a high five is goddamn necessary.I don't have an IMAX anywhere nearby, so that's out of the question, buuuut I will definitely bring someone along to high five. Actually, the tickets were $6.25, which is the standard price for the first showing of the day.5 dollar tuesdays/wednesdays FTW!
