GGT 256 Don't Care about Indiggle anymore

Picked up the Jamestown soundtrack just now. I'm finally done with this Steam sale!

Also crafted my badge yesterday after nabbing a Chivalry card on the Market (it took awhile). Got Kerbal Space Program themed stuff.

Saw it yesterday myself, also in IMAX. It's a shame it wasn't shot in IMAX like Avatar since it made it that much grainier, but it was quite an enjoyable movie nevertheless. It was definitely worth seeing in the theater, and the best spectacle movie since 2012, I think.

Also, the best 3D experience I've had with a movie was Coraline, believe it or not. That movie was just perfect in 3D. Agreed that Avatar was great in that format, too (and IMAX).

I wish I only picked up one last minute thing, I got like 8 games and the Worms Season Pass! It was still a great deal and I'm happy with my purchase though.

I had to buy the Chivalry card as well so I sold one of my doubles to get it, but now that I have the full set I'm going to wait to see how much the cards values go up and decide then if I want to sell or craft!

EDIT: And I'll probably get this new bundle that went up, it looks like a great deal and I don't have any of the games yet! There's a couple of them I actually want to buy/try as well!

I'm 100% out of trading cards and glad for it -- I must've made like $25-$30 off them, I think.

That bundle is worth it for Cargo Commander alone, from what I've seen of it. I saw it was on sale on steam for $2.50 and bought it in my great indie splurge on Sat/Sun.

I absolutely love the Worms series and have a lot of the games on multiple different systems now! I originally got in on a 4 pack here on CAG for the base game so I wasn't really paying attention to the Season Pass, but I saw it was really cheap and had to get it before the sale ended!

I still have a fair amount of cards left that I'm going to let sit and see if the values go up a bit after the sale, I ended up getting a $3+ foil with my last minute purchase and was kinda excited about that though.

Good to hear Cargo Commander should be a good one, I really didn't know what that game was, Disciples and Dungeons were the main games I wanted but after looking through the videos I don't really see a bad looking game in the bundle so I bought it for ~50 cents a game!

 
So I'm actually going to have time to skype and play games online with the GGT this weekend... Do you guys still skype/game together regularly?

 
I don't even have skype on my PC anymore.  Hank's usually pretty busy, as is Josh -- and I hear the rest of the gang kind of stopped doing it as well (I asked if it was worth bothering to get skype installed in Linux in the last GGT, I think).

:oldman: Thaaat pretty much invalidated anything you can say about art to me. Preacher and Punisher may have been his best work, but that shit was still far from good. He's on the same level as Liefeld. It wouldn't be so bad if he could actually draw different faces. To say that he's one of the best of all time is the equivalent of shitting all over every comic book artist that has ever existed. He may be top 1,000, but I'd probably let anyone in there that can draw fish scale chainmail and not fuck it up.

I've always wanted to work in a comic shop, but every time I've tried to get a job at one it turns out that they don't need anyone. Never do. Though, that could be because almost LCS owner around here seems to be a complete asshole.

 
Exactly what Joel said. Steve Dillon is hot garbage. He's up there with Greg Land in the land of tracers and people who can't draw emotions on faces to save their life. 

He can't even compare to the genius of pencilers such as Reis, Yu, Coipel, Allred, Aja, and so many others.

How long have you been into comics? I've been reading since I was around 7 or so (23 now). I've always wanted to work in a comic shop, but every time I've tried to get a job at one it turns out that they don't need anyone. Never do. Though, that could be because almost LCS owner around here seems to be a complete asshole.

If you really want to get into the business you really just have to bs with one of the owners all the time, maybe ask to work there for store credit to start. Just say no when they ask you to work a comic con, that shit blows

well, ATlus is bankrupt , and is in the process of being auction off. I hope sony snatch it, so they can bring some of  the atlus titles over to playstation.

That's his style though, I can see it as a love it or hate it though.

And Joel, to compare him to liefeld is criminal, liefeld hasn't drawn a background in 5 years. (Seriously look at any comic he drew, the backgrounds are just gradients )

I'll check out thor. Still need to check out hawkeye. Read issue #1 of gambit I wanted to continue then I learned his series got canned so yeah

Wow, loooong time! That's incredible! See, I bs all the time, it just doesn't seem to do anything. No one where I am ever goes to comic con. Though, that's primarily because I live in the middle of nowhere Kansas. I tried to do the same when I lived in Tennessee, but no one ever seems to want any help, even if I'm offering to do all the heavy lifting and stuff. Hell, I'd work for almost nothing since I just read scans of everything and buy what I need to complete my collection or stuff I really, really like.

Nope! Totes on the same level as Liefeld, backgrounds be damned. What Liefeld does to backgrounds is what Dillon does to faces.

I don't know about absolute best, but that is a damn good Thor book. Haven't picked up Chew since the first couple of arcs, but I enjoy it a great deal. For me, favorite superhero book is Superior Spidey for Marvel and Batman Inc for DC. I expect Batman Inc to start sucking soon though, since that filler issue about the Batman of Japan sucked balls.

Starting in January 2014, Gail Simon will be writing a Tomb Raider comic for Dark Horse that will take place right after Tomb Raider, and will bridge together with the sequel (if there is a sequel).

I watched a youtube video on how to lightning loop I don't think I'm gonna do that. Instead I'm gonna practice my vergil/spider man combos.
