They've given away 17 Vita games so far, not counting PSP games, and there are 143 Vita games in the Vita's PS Store, which includes free-to-play games and a bundle or two. There are plenty of games to give away and more are added to the potential list almost every week.
counting ps mobile games? gross

i love my vita but there hasn't been much in the way of retail releases. 3rd party support has been shit more or less.

Its kinda lame the vita gets stuff that is only digital release. When you take those out it does make the selection look pretty small.

I don't even see much coming out for release that isnt also coming out for the ps3.

Waiting on that price for digital. Still have physical vita version preordered for artbook but will cancel if digital version gets a discount. Then I can get a $50 psn card and preorder Ducktales on sale.
I'm going digital either way. I don't see myself selling this game (And even if I did, it'd be a while considering its length).

Rather just get it digital since its fairly small, and to avoid needless cart swapping. I already got 2 artbooks, so I plan to just cancel my order on tuesday and take one of them back to avoid getting flagged again.

I mean I guess it makes sense since it is portable and all. I just personally prefer having a physical copy for collection, resell value.

Also, because of their memory cards, lol.

There's no way you'd see $3 to $5 games from small developers get a retail release. That's not a very realistic expectation or desire to have.

fair enough, I just wanted to check you hadn't come down with whatever disease slidecage has caught that causes him to instantly dismiss anything that doesn't come in a box :headache:

No not including PS Mobile games. He would have said that if he included PS Mobile games. Check out the PSN store once in a while on Vita, there's a lot of good stuff there.

Wooo, got my 100% on Guacamelee, that was frustrating as shit.
I saw about an hour ago you had posted that you still couldn't get through challenge 12, so I recorded a really shitty video of me beating it on my phone. I guess you must have beat it soon after you posted, because you deleted your comment before I even uploaded the video haha.

Common tyler get gold. =)

Atelier Totori was a digital only release on vita and i'd take that any day over pretty much any other 'cart' release.

i'm hoping for NFS:MW (since i can return the copy i just bought for $20), Unit 13, or Little King's Story (very unlikely due to recent price change and chance of blog revolt).

Going forward, though, there are PLENTY of digital only releases I'd love to see on plus.  Though most of them i'll have bought day 1 (indies, i'm looking at you).

Haha, yeah, right after that, I finally got past the major block. It still took me a couple more tries to get gold but I finally passed the piece of shit. Thanks anyways though.

Usually, whenever I'm having difficulty with a trophy, I just have to make a post on some forum whining about it and I'll get it immediately after.

As for Vita Plus wish list, I'd be very happy with Unit 13, Dragon Fantasy, Hot Shots Golf, Kung Fu Rabbit, New Little King Story, and Smart As. I have Unit 13 and Hot Shots Golf on carts, but I'd rather have them digital.

Because the game has sensed that you have given up hope along with your dignity. It no longer has any reason to withhold the trophy from you.

For those of you who don't know, this technology was developed by From Software and first deployed under it's codename 'Pure Bladestone'.

I never had much trouble with Pure Bladestone.  I even went back to play again a year or so after I got platinum and wanted the Sharp +5 Uchigatana for my character and got another Pure Bladestone in an hour or so.

you're still counting games like cut the rope, doodle god, jetpack joyride, etc which are really just mobile games and hopefully never show up on ps+
So what? I didn't say every single one of those games was a huge, deep, quality game. Going through that list a second time, I can remove about 22 games that are either free or could be considered amongst the games you don't want on PS+, which still leaves us with about 120 games. That's still a lot to choose from. But if you want to just nitpick the library to death, then there's nothing further to discuss.

i love to get atelier but hate to pay 40

Wow I leave again and come back to ANOTHER person complaining about "the vita has no games durrrr". How many times does this topic have to be beat to death. :p I swear hating on the vita on its game library must be the hipster thing to do in the game world these days because it's been out for a year and still people are going on about it.

If you are so obsessed with the vita having no games then either sell your damn system or shut the hell up about it lol.

Ok rant over. Hugs?  :grouphug:

my money is on SF X T

I hope not, they did like three fighters in a row a few months back and I am not overly interested in playing those on Vita. Also, like most others said "who cares?" I've got more than enough games to play on the Vita and I'm happy with all of my digital purchases so far and have barely ever touched the dozen or so retail games I have sitting here.

Wow I leave again and come back to ANOTHER person complaining about "the vita has no games durrrr".
No, it was just slidecage again.

I preordered most of the PLAY games now.. well except ibb&obb and ducktales

any thoughts on ibb?
It's not out yet. There may be a couple reviews that sneak in today, or maybe early tomorrow.

The bulk of the game has to be played 2 player co-op (either online or local). Also there's no platinum trophy. That's about all I know about it.

EDIT: Couple reviews have already snuck out today:

Hitman is...fine I suppose. Not exactly something I'm dying to play, but I've heard good things. Kinda surprised we are just getting discounts for Rayman, though I'm not complaining since I bought it on disc already. Cool we are getting more $0.99 games, anyone have thoughts on this one?

Ouch. I have Hitman, Zen Pinball, and Machinarium (though it would be cool to play on vita I guess). I don't need another psp fighting game haha. I'm not into fighting games at all really. Bit Trip is cool though.

Pretty lame month for me overall but it's not like I don't have hundreds of games to play already lol.

EDIT: Oh yeah I almost forgot. In before someone says "slap to the face" Slidecage rant coming in 3...2...1

Well I'm glad Rayman's just discounted on Vita, finally opened the sealed copy I had this week.  Gonna have to look at the TIV on it though and see if I can't upgrade to the digital version.  Kind of meh on the rest of the month, Bit.Trip Runner 2 is the highlight of the month for me though a Vita version would be more appealing.

What's this Rayman 2 Revolution?  Planning to pick up The Great Escape but never heard of the other one.

-Rayman Origins  $9.99 $5.00+

-Rayman 3 HD $4.99 $2.50+

-Rayman Origins PS Vita  $13.49 $6.75+

-Rayman Arena  $4.99 $2.50+

-Rayman 2 Revolution $4.99 $2.50+

-Rayman 2: The Great Escape  $2.99 $1.50+

-Rayman  $2.99 $1.50+

I almost forgot to ask you guys. Any Rayman fans care to give any feedback on which Rayman titles to pick up? I really enjoyed origins but that's sadly the only Rayman game I've played. So I'm definitely open for suggestions/opinions.

When Star Wars pinball first came out, some people on this board were imploring me to buy it right then because they insisted that they don't go on sale and we probably wouldn't see it on Plus.  I said, "I can wait as long as it takes".  Well....mhm....everyone should listen to their gut on CAG matters.

Revolution was the PS2 port of Great Escape. I've been trying to figure out if it's worth paying the extra dollar for, but I haven't found much online other than it looks better.

Rayman 1 is great (well as much as I played of it, haven't played it in years and wasn't very good at it as a kid). It is also the most like Origins as it is also 2D versus the more traditional Super Mario 64 like sequels. 2 was the last one developed by creator Michael Ancel IIRC, and I don't believe 3 is held in nearly as high regard as his games (Arena is a pretty pointless spin off 10).

Point is, it's disingenuous to say there's 140+ games for them to give away. It's not nitpicking to say Cliff Diving and Jetpack Joyride aren't gonna be on PS+. Nobody is whining, I was just saying it's getting easier to guess what will be on PS+ which is true.
