CSGO is slowly turning into TF2, not gameplay-wise but the whole cosmetic aspect of it. There are some ridiculously high priced items in the market, like stattrak weapons and knives, the very first bravo case also sold for $30 that's kinda crazy when you think about it. The bravo case I sold earlier today went for $2.20, which is not bad at all. Should of also sold the one I got yesterday but instead I bought a key for it and opened it, only to get a weapon skin that is worth less than the case.

Not going to bother opening any cases anymore, I'm going to keep selling them while the market value is still high. I made the mistake of holding on to my regular/esport cases, could of gotten $1 or $2 for each one but instead I kept them. The value dropped to 10¢ for each case :[

I don't mind weird prices in the trading thread, if they're too high then they won't sell. There is no problem. Sure it may clutter things a bit, but you can start picking and choosing who's allowed to post what. If this place gets too strict and uptight it's gonna lose appeal, I hate those kinds of forums.

I was pretty enthusiastic about Mafia 2 but after some more time with it today, it seems like 90% of the missions are drive all the way across the map (don't go too fast or cops will bust you), talk to this guy, now drive all the way back home and go to bed to advance the story. If you're lucky you might be instructed to steal a car, and then drive that all the way back and go to bed. I got a couple of missions with some actual action but they are very rare. I think I'm losing the will to continue with this. The missions are just so bad, almost all of them.

Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM internal HDD w/ 6GB per sec transfers rate on sale on NewEgg.

$79.99 + free shipping on NewEgg w/ coupon: EMCYTZT4622

What cha think, guys?

Have we seen better pricing on this?

Do any of you have and like this drive for running games on?

Speak your piece!
That's actually not a bad deal. I got that Newegg email this morning :)

That's the lowest price I've seen since August 30th on Amazon. The lowest it's been in the past year on Amazon is $69.99 on November 26th, 2012. So it can get $10 cheaper in about 6 weeks if you can wait.

Unalphabetized lists don't bother me as much as unpriced lists.

(Though unalphabetized lists do rub my rhubarb the wrong way.)
Those unpriced lists drive me up the wall. I never even make offers because they always receive a "Woah! Are you trying to rip me off?" It's not even worth messaging those people. Just ridiculous.

I hope I'm not "that guy" in the trading/selling post. If I am I'd rather someone tell me. I usually post keys on the cheap or if the game has steam cards I just list for the value of what the cards are worth. I finally unloaded my non-BTA extra Origin Humble Bundle for $1. Buying two of those was a mistake.

I kinda like when someone has a big ass list of bundle keys, if they hide it in a spoiler tag, cause I'm not really interested in bundle keys. But I don't know if that should be a rule, like I said, if things are too strict, too many rules, then it starts to ruin the forum.

I don't send offers on unpriced lists either, but it doesn't really bother me, I just ignore those.

Sorry, for using so many commas,.

I like when people have (old) bundle keys, because I just recently got in da pc gaming...game...yeah...

Also: ,,,,,,,,,,

Yeah, it wouldn't be good to make hiding bundle keys a rule, cause there are some people actually looking for bundle keys. ^^^

My view is ignore what you aren't interested in, it's a better option than making up a ton of shitty rules.

I'm not sure if creating trade list rules was a serious idea being discussed, or just pasports making a joke, just my 2 cents.

I saw UFO Afterlight at Walmart last week for $30. I think that was in the same bundle as a Rig & Roll.
I laugh at my Walmart prices, they want $50 for Civ V, they won't even match their own online price :wall:

Thanks bro, signed up and then voted for it on greenlight. Everyone do this!
done and done ;) how much should I sell it for? lol

Speak for yourself. They're all having a party on my ignore list :whee: :whee: :whee: :puke: :whee: :whee:

I'm all about CAGs getting cash but I'm not about reading a practically unchanged and apparently Elmer's-influenced post that was penned six month ago.
sorry but the shit doesn't sale even at a loss. :)

The thing that I don't get is when people post the same list day after day forever, and don't decrease prices or anything. After awhile I kind of give up. If nobody bites after a few weeks I just give my games away.
I'm having an International Handwashing Day Sale

Totally more on the joke side, I'm not anal enough for rules

So, no thoughts on Mafia 2?
Amazing game in my opinion... I've only played the demo on the PC but beat it on the 360. (and actually did everything achivement wise, which is unheard of for me) PC version is the strongest version and its a game I would play again... and planned too. I tried the GreenMan Games thing but get an error every time I tried to pick my reward. (not the 24 hour error)

Weeklong Deals
Jagged Alliance 2 is a real classic, though its old and does have some issues with Windows 7, I still highly recommend it... Really one of the pinnacles of the genre and PC gaming in general. (I own everything included, Base Game and Back to Business on CD but might double dip just to make a statement.)

Anyhow, stupid steam question time... Not sure why it does it but when I click an external link in my broswer (like the one for "Yet Another Zombie Defense" green lit page, upvoted/Ja btw) it defaults to German... Anyone got any idea why this is is happening??

Mine defaults to Dutch on my home computer, but is fine on my work computer. I don't know why this is, either, but I wish I could change it. Though I am learning Dutch because of it. Well, really just that Ja means yes. Or at least I hope it does, since that's what I keep voting Greenlight games from bundles.

You might be right... It might be dutch. I've never really looked close enough till now.

I did find a language option, when logged in, click the “username” account, three option down is the language option... Chose language.

Might be pointless... Seems to have reset on me already.

just saw there's a jagged alliance online game...
Its has a really long extended demo "free version" but most of the game's Steam forums have nothing but hate for it... Half price though, someone people in the forum who liked it enough at that price...

Nice, been waiting for good deals on Deathspank for like... three years. Wonder if this is a proper HIB or a weekly. Probably a weekly.
Word on the web it will be a weekly, cause there are no other Hothead games to add, and the listing is a single bundle, so no BTA.

Just checked out Hothead's website for the first time in a while.  A couple of years ago they abandoned developing download titles for the PC and shifted to mobile games/apps.  So, basically, this bundle is a bottom dollar grab at funds.  Still, would be surprised if it were $1 for all of it.  That said, I wouldn't mind paying $5 for the whole shebang consider Deathspank never got anything better than a 50% off discount.

Just out of curiosity... has there ever been a pre-order bonus that DIDN'T show up later as a purchasable item? (Not counting bonuses that were later given away free; I'm wondering about some unique piece of content that could only be acquired through a pre-order and never ever ever ever ever ever afterwards.)
Several TF2 cosmetic items are like that. Though most were made craftable (obtainable via recipes or random crafting), a few like Bill's Hat and Max's Severed Head never were, which led to their stupid prices these days. The whole "Genuine Quality" thing was supposed to make preorder items retain their value while making versions of them available to the general public, but the TF2 players didn't give a crap about that and the "Genuine" stuff is pretty worthless. AS IT SHOULD BE.

Game-wise I can only think of one: Rayman 2. It was a preorder bonus for Rayman Origins and it has never been sold on its own on Steam, despite being available at other stores like GOG.

Some companies like Capcom are including preorder-exclusive bonus DLC content. I remember Resident Evil 6 was supposed to include the soundtrack as a preorder exclusive.

And it's about time too. I've been waiting for Deathspank to go on sale for -years-.

Deadly Premonition is up for pre-order. $22.49 with a free upgrade to the Deluxe Edition (not sure what that is, somebody said the soundtrack on their forums).

Hm. DeathSpank is probably worth $1. It was one of my first purchases when I got a PS3 a few years ago. It was somewhat humorous but the gameplay wasn't that great and frankly the mechanics just got dull really fast. I have The Baconing on PC from a sale or bundle or something but I don't have much interest in playing it.

I played the baconing from that same bundle. It's an OK game, but I got bored pretty fast.

Add me to the list of people who have been waiting forever for a decent sale on Deathspank 1 & 2. As for The Baconing, it was in Groupees Be Mine 2 (April 2012) which is probably where many of us have it from.

In other news, Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW! is up for preorder on Steam, albeit with a fairly hefty $39.99 price tag. It's a Gauntlet / Diablo style 2D-co-op dungeon crawl made by DuckTales / Shantae developers WayForward, and if you can't find something in that summary to like then I don't want to know you. There's a preorder bonus too, but they've already said it's just a free character DLC that will be sold later for just $2, so meh.

I like the show and the game looks to be at least partway up my alley, but I'm a CAG first and foremost so of course I'll be waiting for a good sale. Hopefully Amazon or GMG will be carrying it too.

EA, supposedly one of the worst companies in the world, did it. I'd say it's only a matter of time for Capcom. It just might be a little harder since a lot of their games have GFWL.
I knew somebody was going to say this. I'm no EA apologist, but I think there's an important distinction to be made between them and Capcom when it comes to this sort of thing. Like taylort3 said, EA has their own platform to promote, so it's worth it to them to sell games on the cheap to get more users on Origin. Also they were smart enough to recognize that the gaming population is notoriously fickle and weak-willed, and use this campaign to gain back a lot of goodwill after the SimCity fiasco. Capcom on the other hand, in this age when every other publisher is doing Humble Weeklies, puts together a new $60 bundle on Steam, laughs at Megaman fans begging for a new game, and instead releases yet another version of Street Fighter 4. "Humble" is not in their vocabulary...IMO.

Now...will someone please tell me why I should care about the Deathspank games? I already have the PA games and have little need for more action RPGs, so right now I'm thinking the weekly looks like a pass. Then again, that goes against my CAGly instincts.

Honestly, I find the art style to be far more of a problem than the the price... I know that's not fair, and I would still try a demo when its cheap, but its honest.

Hmm, I've never had a huge interest in DeathSpank, but will be getting this for OtRSPoD: EP1&2 if nothing else since I got the third game for free. If it's all one tier though I might actually play the other games for their novelty alone.

Why'd you have to go and let me know Rayman 2 was ever "available" on Steam? I guess I can still hope one day it is properly re-released

The first half of this sentence had me excited, but that price... :oldman:

Played a good chunk of the first one on 360... Its got a real sense of humor. Combat is nothing new, but its not bad either... If I remember right the items that drop aren't really that random.

(I would suggest trying the demo but apparently there isn't one on Steam... Which seems odd. They had to make one for the 360.)

I believe games on the XBOX are actually required to have demo versions available. This isn't mandatory for PC releases because Microsoft doesn't have a death grip on what gets released on PCs.

FWIW, Eps 1 & 2 are nothing like the 3rd (not that they're bad games - they've been on my backlog for three years now...)

They are, its certainly a thing that Microsoft got right...

But why make a demo for one platform and not others...? Just seems silly and maybe a bit dishonest. (Happens on PSN also so its not something limited to Steam. I know on PSN it has to do with the developer trying to limit costs maybe Valve makes companies pay for their bandwidth usage too?)

Sure, I can imagine TBS, board games, sports, fighters, and other controller based games would be great and I am disappointed it hasn't happened yet. But the biggest problem is going to be server support from the devs/platform and forced upgrades to yearly versions as servers are taken down.

PCGAMER: Dragon Age: Inquisition developer wants romance scenes to be “mature and tasteful”

We also want to focus not just on the sex itself, but also that this is the culmination of spending a lot of time with a character and getting to know them, and so we’re giving scenes a mature and tasteful treatment I guess,” Perry said. “We’ll see where it goes for Dragon Age: Inquisition, it’s something that we’re working on right now so we’ll see how these scenes pan out.”

Note to self: Never consider playing this.
