The Sun isn't a newspaper. It's just a collection of trashy opinions with boobs thrown in.

The Daily Sport, however, was an excellent example of hard-hitting thought-provoking journalism.

I get to know someone via their avatar picture and then boom outta nowhere they change it on me. This is bullshit guys, leave your avatars alone.

I've played so much Borderlands 2, and enjoyed it, but so much content already that I'm gonna wait a while and not pick up these new DLCs til they are really cheap. I haven't even finished all the side missions for what I already have.
With all the dlc, four different classes, UVHM, and upcoming dlc, that went from a sizable fps to a MASSIVE one. Pretty crazy.

Edit: Playing solo as Zero, I still haven't completed my first playthrough. I did virtually all the side missions, as well as the Pirate and Torgue Dlcs. I'm REALLY close to the end, like to the point where right after you're in that room fighting w/Angel hooked up to the machine. Around 45-50 hours and I'm still not done my first playthrough w/2 dlcs untouched.

FTFY

I have a solo Zero build that I'm building up and he's surprisingly fun. I played Modecai with a straight up sniper/pistol build. Zero I went with a melee/pistol build and while challenging at some encounters, it's been a nice change of pace. I'd have gone pure melee, but I'm not hardcore enough. I'm torn between my Maya and Gaige as my favorites, though.

Oh crud, forgot about Gaige/the psycho. The sirens are always fun to play as, and I need to get into Gaige, her tree looks fun. Mordecai was the shizzz in the first game. I love just resetting my skill tree randomly and loading up on different aspects of the three tree system w/zero, it makes the approach entirely different. Put all your points into one tree, and you're going in and out of your action skill, meleeing the crap out of everyone, put it into another, and you're sniping like a mofo. Awesome.

I haven't even gotten the base game yet. I'm waiting for either GOTY <$15 or base game (I've never been a DLC horder anyway) <$5.

The hilarious blind guy from the start of Borderlands 1. He was one of the best characters in the game.
He's more or less the only character I can even remember,
so of course he had to up and die :oldman:
inb4 spoder: Eleusis is now greenlit (what a dumb word). If you got it in Groupees BM8:

Any news as to whether they fixed the terrible optimization?

37 games have been greenlit.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=184523004

Out of these, the following have been in bundles:

Fester Mudd: Curse of the Gold (Groupees Build a Greenlight Bundle)

Neighbors From Hell (Humble Bundle Weekly Nordic Games)

Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart (GamesRage Bundle)

and Fotonica was an IGS deal.
Blood of the Werewolf and (I believe) Hot Tin Roof were in that "Not on Steam" sale.

Also, Ravensword was in the recent Humble Mobile (but only the Android version).

Waiting for the DLC edition is totally worth it if you really like Borderlands. It has the four DLC campaigns (I think they get too much flak, haven't played TIny Tina, which is apparently amazing, or Hammerlock, which is apparently terrible, but Torgue is genuinely funny and just more borderlands, which you can't go wrong with, and the pirate one is pirate themed borderlands - hell yeah! and adds some cool weapons and stuff), but it also has the two additional classes and the level pack upgrade. So yeah...get that. Worth it.

They have greenlit SO many games recently. Which is awesome. The majority will probably suck, but there's always going to be a gem or two in these waves.

Hammerlock ain't bad. I wasn't thrilled with it at first but that was cause I was in Borderlands overload mode. Later on I played through it after beating Tiny Tina and it was fine. It was probably better than Torgue overall cause Torge had a lot of arena fights that I don't like, but Torgue was very funny. All 4 are worth playing.

Okay, opinions needed. Is Scribblenauts Unlimited worth getting on Steam for $5 or should I keep the copy I got for the Wii U for $20? I don't have my Wii U yet, but got the game on sale a few weeks back. Don't know if there is much difference to the game control wise or anything. I may just return the Wii U version if there really is no reason to keep the more expensive version.

y u want a wii u

y u want a wii u
Because in the long run it's going to have the most unique exclusives of any platform

Edit: I desperately want a Wii U. It's taking a lot for me to hold back on that Zelda bundle, I want Wind Waker HD sooooooooooo bad. But I'm hoping for maybe a fifty buck discount black friday/christmas time.

My understanding is that both versions are pretty similar so the only advantage to the PC one (which IMO is a pretty serious advantage) is that you have a keyboard. This wouldn't normally be a handicap for a Wii game, but this is a game that is essentially about typing words into a notebook, so . . . yeah.

Hmmm kinda figured the Wii tablet thing would have helped with that. Well after looking around a bit more, will probably just take back the Wii U version, pick up a $20 Steam card and purchase it.

If it makes you feel more confident with your decision, I did the same thing.

I sold off my Wii-U copy (for a profit, LOL) and purchased it on Amazon when it was $4.99.

J.U.L.I.A. was in a groupees bundle (forget which one)

I didn't know someone was working on a remake for Portal, looks pretty good can't wait to check it out.

JULIA was in the first KISS Bundle, but it turned out that the publisher (Lace Mamba Digital) wasn't paying the developer squat, so there's a good chance we won't get keys for that game - especially since it looks like JULIA is going to be self-published on Steam.

JULIA Enhanced Edition got greenlit, not the regular one. Bundle in a Box actually had permission from the JULIA dev, but we won't be getting steam keys from that bundle either, because it wasn't the enhanced version.

Oh, so it's a "Guys this is a new version, it's a different game so no keys" thing. Blah.

This is slightly better for me. I already own both The Baconing and PoD2. If they end up adding the soundtracks to these two games then I'll go BTA. If not, then I'll get under the average.
Yep. Can't really say I care about the Precipice games so grabbing the first two Deathspanks for $1 is great.

Monster Hunter, Mario, Zelda, girlfriend desperately wants Bayonetta 2, and I couldn't resist the Zelda bundle.

Plus, this Wii console doesn't make you move your arms all around like a dork while trying to call it "exercise".

Is Wind Waker more than a 5-hour experience now that it boasts HD w/ Sweet FX? Does it still cost $50?

From the dev of Eleusis:

any news how much will take to get keys from BEMINE 8?
We estimate that next week you will be able to acquire them from the BeMine 8 page. The same goes for those who have purchased Eleusis via Desura. They will get their steam keys directly from Desura.

A week?! Dayum that's a long time. I need that shit now so I can backlog it in my Steam library immediately.

Bundle Stars: Two weeks from delivery of keys to add Gravi keys for all 3500 bought bundles. In this time they'd have enough time to call everyone and give their key(s) and card prices blummet to very bottom. :(

Well the Steam version has Workshop support, so say you want to use Doctor Who props you can download them and have them implemented right into the game (or if you're creative you can make your own). I expect typing would be faster on a keyboard as well, and considering half the game is doing that it's probably worth considering. I don't see much reason to keep the Wii U version unless you have to play on your couch (if you have kids or something it might be a benefit) and don't have a wireless KB&M/PC near your TV. Otherwise the Steam version is pretty much the definitive version overall, at least in my opinion.

Most unique? I'm sure it will have a bunch of cool games, but you can't tell me the variety is going to top the PC, that's just crazy talk :whee:

Unique and variety are two different things...pc will definitely have more of a variety and way more exclusives than Wii U, but nobody makes games that are like Nintendo games, IMHO. Hence unique. I just don't think there's anything out there that is going to be quite like Super Mario 3d land or whatever it's called, or Zelda Wii u, or smash brothers, or the donkey kong game coming up. To me, nintendo exclusives are must play because they really set themselves apart from the rest of the gaming industry in terms of the unique quality they have. This should not be construed as me saying Nintendo makes the "best" games, just nobody makes games that are like Nintendo's games, if you get what I'm saying.

So since Halloween is approaching, I think everyone should post their favorite scary/horror game.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl

Not a traditional horror game, more a post apocalyptic, but it definitely has many parts that if played in a dark room, well, I hope you don't have heart problems. Plus there are mods to make it harder/scarier.
STALKER: SOC + Call of Pripyat are both awesome, IMHO. :D

There's one game that I normally wind-up reinstalling (well, in the old days, when I needed HDD space) or replayed at least some of on Halloween - one of my favorite games of all time is Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. I just love that damn game: the music; atmosphere; vampire theme; the actual writing; the dialogue; the characters - all are freaking fantastic.
