I've got two pre-order cards myself, but I've heard their pre-order system is shit. As in they don't even hold the game for you. Which is why i'm planning on getting their early, to beat the xbox one console buyers and hopefully get both games that I want.
From the look of it so far, XB1 does perceive to more scarce than PS4. Hopefully we'll see ebay prices go higher up in value compare to PS4. Good news is MSFT hasn't made any supply promises to consumers, hopefully our xb1 day1 edition will carried some value.
It's just from what I've heard, I've never done a pre-order through target but just look at the process. They have cards you can purchase at registers for a "pre-order" but they don't take your name or anything. How are they supposed to know they are going to save a game specifically for you?
Those "Day 1" controllers with chrome d-pads will fetch an easy $100 by itself.
The cards were numbered. The Target I went to had 15. So they will put aside 15 of them that you can only get if you show them the card. No card, no system.
Just the Xbox for now for me. Eventually I will get a PS4 if enough great games come out for it. I believe Naughty Dog will create something that will make me want one really bad.

Where did you get the info that the dpad was chrome? From what I've seen the only difference is "day one 2013" is printed in the center of the controller and that print looks like it could be scratched off with a fingernail, I'd defo sell it for $100+. In fact since day one editions will probably have novelty to some I can see them easily fetching a couple hundred more than the standard green box, so I'll flip my day one edition and keep the green box I hopefully get free from the conga line.

That's what I usually do too if it's a midnight launch I'm going to, but I'm being more conservative with my day counting this time. I've had countdowns going on my Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 tablet since the day the date was revealed in early September.

Absolutely not. It's not a waste of your time or life if you're enjoying it as you do it. I'm proud of every minute I've spent gaming and would never regret it. It's a much better use of time than many other things that are deemed acceptable by the worthless society we live in.
