Anyone know of a good Black Friday deal on internal hard drives?  Anybody here have an old graphics card that needs a good home?

Bad Rats 2-for-1 special.
Ruin the day for yourself AND a friend!

Edit: Never get too cocky in FTL. I thought this would be the day I finally beat that game. Had a glaive beam, hull missle, and mark II laser. Maxed out engines and shields...forgot about the stupid defense drone. The flagship just deployed one of those suckers, negating my ability to easily take out their shields. This took away the threat of my mark II, ensuring I could only rely on my glaive beam, which reloaded too slowly to take out a mothership on its own. I slowly died a miserable death.

If only I had kept my second missile instead of selling it, I could've taken out the defense drone.

Screw this game.

Did you get lead(s) on one? Or both?

I'd certainly like to hear HDD sales.

Namely looking for any WD Black Internal HDD's at 7200 RPM's in the 1-4 TB range or more; preferably 2TB or more.

I could settle on a Seagate, if it's cheap enough w/ offering a great deal of TB's.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Keeping an eye out for either WD Black, Hitachi or Toshiba 4TB+.

I did it.  I caught up with the thread again.  Glad I did, because there were a lot of bundle keys added that I would have missed if not for mention in here.

Also, I found I had enough extra keys to get two free items out of the HugeSeal by activating them on my wife's account.  Got the DLC for Gianna Sisters (which I needed) and a spare key for Tiny & Big.

Question about the Amazon $5 credits.  Are they only rewarded for certain digital purchases?  I grabbed the TWD DLC and didn't see any mention of the January credit.  Last year, they sent an email with each one.

...and now to go back to playing the new Zelda game.

Wish I had a 3ds. Luv Zelda.

I'm debating picking up a 3ds, PS3, or Wii U black friday. I change my mind which every other day. I was thinking Wii U for most of last week, but now I'm leaning toward PS3.

I'd get a PS3. I played that the most out of all the consoles I owned, last-gen.

Yeah, plus it has the most exclusives I'd want out of the three systems I'm debating. And it'd let me get my "souls" fix until Dark Souls 2 comes out, by picking up Demon's Souls. It's probably worth waiting on Wii U until a bundle I want comes out...was thinking the NSMBU bundle, but I've never been too interested in those games.

I'd second this just because I don't see PS3 going for much less in the near future until they're basically EOL. The WiiU will most definitely see future price cuts. The 3DS, I just can't find any personal value in.

I'm definitely in need of another large capacity HDD. I'm hoping Newegg offers the 3TB Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 3TB SATA 6.0Gb/s for $79.99 like they did pre-Thanksgiving and Black Friday last year. One should never turn down a great HDD deal as they don't happen very often. Knowing the difference between a good deal and a great deal is also the key, but true CAGs need not worry ;) .

As an owner of a PS3 and 3DS, I'd say the PS3 is the better overall console.  3DS is great too given the games on it, but I don't use the 3D part of it much.  Having something on the plane though is a necessity for me and you can make the 3DS do a lot of stuff like play music so it's pretty nice.

I've had a 360 too and the lack of blu ray playback kills a lot of its value.

I currently own a 360.

Before I knew anything about videogames I bought a 360 because that's what all my friends had. I regret it so much. I don't own a single Xbox exclusive (hate Gears and Halo). I might trade in my 360 + all the games I have for it once my Xbox Live membership expires, which should be just about enough to get a Wii U with. The only thing that'll suck is giving up all the downloadable titles I have for it. Plus I have like 20 microsoft bucks still on my account. It's probably worth it though.

I have a hard time justifying a purchase for it because there's only like, 4 or 5 games I really want for it.
I'm in the same boat. Debating between a 3DS/3DS XL or PS Vita. It really comes down to games and the overall value. It's difficult because I'm in need of a Zelda fix lately, but I can only think of maybe 5 or so other games I'd be remotely interested in after that. Tough to justify.

If I had to get one or the other I'd get the 3ds. What does the vita even have besides Tearaway?

Edit: Zelda + Mario are the only reasons 3ds/Wii U are even in the thought process for me. Apparently a Link Between Worlds is awesome, as is the new Mario title for Wii U. And I'd love to get my hands on Wind Waker HD.

sasha grey spank you too hard making u changing eevery day i see u gone to sex therapist yet?

Picked up a PS3 last year on Black Friday.   I really don't use it as much as I thought I would...enjoyed RDR and Infamous enough, spent plenty of time on Gran Turismo, but for the most part it just sits there running netflix.  Honestly, the graphics just don't compare to games on my PC and I really have trouble being able to accept that.  In retrospect, the exclusive games really don't justify the $200 I spent on the console.

I have started to pick up the occasional "classic" game on PSN though, so I think over time i'll get more use out of it.

It went terribly. As soon as he start talking, sasha started spanking him, so i started spanking her, then he tried to spank me, which was gross, so I spanked him for trying to spank me, which was awkward. We're going to try again next week.

Yeah, I know I won't use it nearly as much as my PC, but that's fine w/me. PS3 has some exclusives I REALLY want - Demon's Souls, God of War, Infamous, Last of Us. If I can pick up 10-12 exclusives, plus some freebies from playstation network, and then if I get rid of my xbox, I'll be using it for Netflix - that'll have been more than worth the purchase for me.

Good point. The PS Vita interests me with possible use of the PS4 remote play capabilities. I'm just looking for a mobile gaming alternative to my iPhone while traveling. I'd obviously only buy one or the other if a great deal pops up this week. Got to stay one with my inner CAG.

As much as I really want a Vita (as I was a PS1/2/3 owner in my PC gaming hiatus), it's really hard for me to justify as I rarely even touch my PS3 nowadays and I'm so invested in the cult of Apple that all my mobile activities are on my iPad. I also own a 360, but need to renew my Gold membership and all I use it for now anyway is for Battlefield multiplayer and my downloaded games.

oh poor u need to find a person that is not femal lover and maybe they wont be spanking

Between the 3DS and the Vita, the Vita is nice as a way to make the games I already owned on PSN portable and with a decent camera and a few decent exclusives.  The 3DS, however, I take with me absolutely everywhere.  The included functions for tagging other players by proximity and at specific passing stations are executed brilliantly and add a lot to the games.  Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, New Super Mario Bros 2, Pokemon; all of these are great games made even better through passive tagging.  And yes, the new Zelda game is one of the best things I've played in years.  I have to agree with Fox, though, in that the 3D function generally goes unused for me.  I hear it's better on the XL model, but I have trouble keeping it right where the effect works properly.

Also, it has appealing download-only titles like the latest Ace-Attorney game and whatever this is.

As far as the consoles go, I have both a PS3 and a Wii U as of the Zelda: Wind Waker edition.  The PS3 gets enough WJTs to make me return to it on occasion, primarily NISA's releases like the Disgaea series.  The Wii U is for Nintendo first-party games, natch.  I skipped New Super Mario Bros. U and went for the cheaper hard-mode Luigi version which has been fun, and I'm told the new 3D World is fantastic.  But for the most part, the Wii U's strength lies in couch co-op and the ability to include a non-gamer or kind-of-gamer in a support role using the touch screen controller.  In that environment, it's the best gaming device around.  Outside that environment, I understand people not seeing the appeal.

Never owned an XBox of any kind.  The things it does well (sports, shooters, online sports and shooters) just aren't my thing.  Again, the different consoles do different things well, nothing against any of them.

Dood. You need more lazers. Missiles blow.

I've had a PS3 for several years; I think I bought mine around 2010-2011. I have a library of around 30-40 games for it. For the first year or two, I played on it quite a bit, but now I've almost completely quit buying games for it because I have a massive PS+ backlog and almost all of the games I own I haven't played yet. I'll pick up something that looks interesting if it's sub-$10 but otherwise it feels like a waste of money.

Why do I not backlog more stuff on PS3? Two reasons: 1) a lot of previously console-exclusive stuff is starting to show up on PCs and 2) I prefer gaming on my PC. It's just gotten to a point where I almost have to force myself to go in the living room to play a Playstation game, which is both sad and a little pathetic when I think about how my wife bought me a copy of The Last of Us for my birthday this year and it's still untouched because I haven't finished Uncharted 3, which my mother bought me for my birthday last year.

It's a great and very versatile machine but there's just something intangible that I prefer about gaming on my PC--I can't even explain it. But there are going to be some terrific PS3 deals this BF (and probably in 2014 too), so I would recommend it to folks with the time and inclination.

It's because you do the majority of your gaming on PC, so that's become your "favorite." It's human nature, specifically known as cognitive dissonance.

Yeah, but like you found out, they're vulnerable to defense drones...not to mention evasion. Load up on Mark IIs and attack drones and you'll have a lot more success.
I'll have to try it. My strategy could use a change up.

I recently picked up a 3DS, and it is my Japanese game machine which is a genre that is sorely missing from PCs. I picked up Pokemon, the new Link, and Fire Emblem with a few more games I have my eye on. Obviously, if those types of games don't have high appeal then it might be better to wait on the system. Personally, I like having a good JRPG or strat game sitting around to play when I don't feel like PC gaming.

Problem for the 3ds for me is that it's really top heavy...REALLY want the new zelda, pokemon, super mario 3d land, and ocarina of time. Then it really drops off. I kindof want Fire Emblem...kind of want animal crossing...kind of want luigi's mansion...and that's about it. I don't feel like paying 200 right now for a system where I can legitimately see myself buying around 7 games tops. If next black friday there's a sweet sale on it (like 150) or if some more must-play games come out, I might change my mind.

As a person who currently owns a PS3, 360, Wii, Vita, 3DS and multiple PCs, it's terrible not having enough time to play all the games I want on each platform.  It was a horrible idea getting all of them.

Anybody know who this is? He just randomly added me as a friend on steam last night. These sort of random friend invites happen to me every couple of weeks. Usually I just ignore the invite unless it's somebody I can clearly recognize. But he has a few CAGs on his friends list. So...I don't know.
probably a scammer or a beggar, I added one a few months ago and every day he pestered me to buy him the daily deal. So finally I sent him a key for bad rats after telling him it was Bioshock: Infinite. He deleted me a few minutes after I saw Bad Rats appear in his library. :)

Someone should start a Public Shaming type page for Steam beggars.

Also, time for Thanksgiving-themed avatars.

There's a fellow selling a 460 on here.

Semi OT, just thought I'd mention that Amazon has the Logitech G13 on sale for $38.99 along with a bunch of other Logitech products.
Wow! That and some others are some really amazing deals! I really would like to try the G13, but I did figure out the issue with my Orbweaver (it seems like on Razer thinks that most games bind the actually arrow keys for movement and not the WASD keys. I'm honestly not sure which is more stupid, them for thinking that or me for taking so long to realize it... Still haven't gotten a whole lot of time with it but I do like the feel of it in FPS.)

$50 is a great price for the Logitech G700s, just saying. My mouse is the G700 (older version), and I love it. Wireless mouse, without any noticeable lag.
Way more than great to be honest... I'm tempted to pick up another at that price and that's with having another 2 years 9-10 months on my warranty.

Easily one of the best mice I've ever used... (I use mine in wired USB mode.) The shape, the potions of the buttons, the amount of buttons, all so awesome! :D

I ended up getting a 3DS for about $80 two years ago on Black Friday from Best Buy through some promotion they screwed up on. Of course the first party games are the absolute best, and you won't get those anywhere else. I really enjoy owning it for the handful of great must-haves that you mentioned. You also have the full library of DS games to play through, too, without needing to upgrade or download a patch.
