The reason the games are still available is because they sell like hot cakes. NSMB - nearly 30 million sold, Mario 64 DS -10 million, Mario Kart DS - 22 million, even Mario Party DS sold close to 9 million. I do find it annoying that they pull a game off shelves but to be fair, Sony does the same thing. The reason why PS3 games can go so cheap is because they don't sell nearly as much as Nintendo games do, plain and simple.
Yeah, I agree. t really is just a matter of supply/demand. The attach rate for Nintendo is also unlike any other. Their games just don't seem to depreciate, but on the same hand, what other publisher/developer delivers the same quality as consistently?

When their games are less than stellar (Sticker Star, Steel Diver, etc.), the values do tend to tank faster, so they're not completely immune.

Yes, and it makes me wonder if Nintendo will issue the Nintendo Selects/Players Choice discount on their games sooner than before because of the low sales of Wii U.

Apparently someone messed up on my assassin's creed 3 order and I got black flag instead! Score!

This reminds me of a sale on AC2 or brotherhood a while back and people ended up getting revelations.

I'd have rather played 2 or Brotherhood, and I liked Revelations.

I am a sucker for comic games, so deadpool is getting purchased. and AOT DC could be a xmas gift for a friend.

Payday is a great idea for a game, but it is sooo hard to play single player. but 15 bucks? the evil part of my brain says YEEEEESSSS....

Sometimes I don't know why I even buy games, because it depresses me to look at my backlog.

Got my Fire Emblem for in-store pickup!  Also got Soul Hackers from the LD and it came with the CD!  Thanks a bunch CAG!!!

Actually, I think it illustrates a real problem with Nintendo. It's ridiculous that a game that ancient is still sitting at $30, when it should've been part of a player's choice line long ago. While this isn't applicable to Mario, I'm getting really tired of Nintendo often choosing to pull a game off of shelves rather than lower the price. There are tons of DS titles, and even a few Wii titles I missed out on that I'd love to get, but they've been out of print forever. This is why my PS3 library has grown far larger than my Nintendo library, despite owning a Wii/DS/3DS for far longer. PS3 has tons to offer at the $20 range, and it's a fantastic option for late adopters like me who want to catch up. Hell, look at the deals in this very thread! Meanwhile, anybody buying a Nintendo system late is either going to have to "go digital" or do without tons of games, with only a small handful of games in the Player's Choice category on Wii with absolutely no DS equivalent.

Even with WiiU.... Game and Wario bombed and it's already becoming a hard to find game. Why not try releasing it at a more reasonable price? Maybe charging a premium for a minigame compilation, especially in the midsts of NintendoLand/Wii Sports/Wii Party U/ect wasn't such a good idea? No, as near as I can figure, Nintendo's answer is to simply stop restocking the game anywhere.

I'm also surprised Mario DS games are still available, who is buying these things? Are there really still people buying DS's?

Honestly it's no wonder they are in so much trouble financially, crap like this is ridiculous.
. This is why I bought fire emblem for nearly full price using in store credit to lower the price and now I wish I had used that credit to lower the cost of a tv series to save money..I never imagined a Nintendo title that had so much fan fair and seemed scarce in stores like its predecessors, could hit sub $20. This is crazy and exactly why I am waiting for luigi 3ds to hit $20 new lol. 3ds seems to be getting deals the Ds never did to try and keeping beating Vita. Wii u needs to do this too. Otherwise target b2 get 1 new, and bby/GameStop used b2 get 1 sales are all I will use for wii u 1st party, and if I can't find it new I will get used and then Nintendo gets no money, those 3 sources are where all my wii games came from and wii u is looking to be the same.

Picked up Fire Emblem tonight via Target price match. Quick and painless! Used a GC and still had some cash left over!

As an added bonus, I didn't have to step foot into a Best Buy!  :whee: That may be the greatest win of all.

Big ups to my fellow CAGs!

Well TBH, with moderation the censorship was so high it would make censors blush. Now that we have to police ourselves there's some genuine levity that comes from bashing people out to make a buck. I prefer it this way honestly.

Damn no Luigi in stock at my stores.

Also, I cancelled part of my order (BF3 and MGR:R) because they were out of stock and unavailable for shipping at my stores but I picked up FE:A earlier today.

$30 for FE:A and Zelda from TRU makes this a nice little cyber monday/tuesday!

I went to Target to PM Fire Emblem and I was told by CSR that it had to be in stock online in order to PM...I told him that it was the same price as in store not just online but he was persistent and wouldn't allow it.  I was quite irritated.

Also, I don't have a wii u and I want to pick up New Super Luigi...I have a problem with deals dammit!

fuck I knew my stupid ass should have bought a BF3 premium on the 1st day. Everyone's sold out now, and my Vanilla trades in for $4. Would been $8 for all the other extras. fuck

I'll stop second guessing, if I want buy it. I'll just return it if I change my mind, instead of taking a while to think about it.

Also Fire Emblem is fuck ing amazing, and I don't even like those type of games. Shit is beautiful.

Yea lesson learned. I'm always up when the big deals hit so I know I have first dibs in my area. Just a lapse on my part.

Dammit, I just saw that Army of Two is down to 7.50 for PS+ this week.  Spend the money and have it forever, and drop the $12 on a retail copy and see if I can get anything back?

Grabbed Fire Emblem, Ni No Kuni and Super Mario 64 DS for $11.99 each after Elite discount :whistle2:D

Weird though, Fire Emblem showed up EVERYWHERE in stock and available for shipping - then 2 minutes later (when I sneakily tried to place another order for a copy) it said not available ANYWHERE and no shipping. Is this because I already bought one (there is a 1 copy limit per order) or did it sell out THAT fast???

It was available as "ship to store" if it is available for shipping. It isn't actually in stock (you can tell by how long it says you will have to wait for it). It just looks kind of like they have it in stock. If they run out of shipping stock at the warehouse, it falls back on store stocking - hence the sudden change..

Thinking about picking up BF3 premium for PS3, as $15 is the lowest I've seen it go for.  Is this game still worth getting or is the online pretty much dead with the new consoles and BF4 out?
