Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Well crap, there're 666 other CAG groups on Steam, so now there's one for Pinball. It's not set to public to keep the phishers, etc. out, so I'll try to scan this thread for people posting their IDs and invite, and if anyone wants to be an officer or take over as owner to manage membership, be my guest.

I'll get in on this. Studying for finals is so overrated anyway.

Great idea! Way to get the ball rolling... *cringes*

As annoying as it is, this tops a lot of people's lists. I have no interest, but the stupefied masses do.
Here are two games that are more hyped, ranked in order of what Spike TV fans would've picked:

[customspoiler=1. Halo 5]
[/customspoiler]

[customspoiler=2. The Witcher 3]
[/customspoiler]

I could make a better VGX even if I was passed out drunk with a derick drawn on my cheek.

Sure, hook me up. http://steamcommunity.com/id/RustyDakota/

I suck at pinball (and most other video games), so I'll make your leaderboard look good!

I'll take an invite. I haven't had the chance to play the games yet, but I look forward to doing so!

EDIT: NEVERMIND GOT IT

I keep trying to add this voucher

 GMG20-CV2W4-DSYBT

to GMG Typing of the Dead deal. Does the code not work anymore?

Just did the same. First try. Having no idea what the hell I was doing. People with Parkinsons can win this thing with ease.
I made it in my second try-- but it was only my first after learning the time trick. I feel bad for the people vying for short times who don't know the timer's messed up. Oh well.

I did have a problem getting things to run correctly, because my security settings wouldn't allow the program to register that I'd played and record my time.

Grats on all of you winning GRID 2 keys. It'd be interestng and useful if you could post your "winning" times.
I clicked the final hidden object at 2:40.

How long does it take to get a GRID 2 key?

It ain't in my e-mail.

I won a race, it says! :D
It was emailed to me at 11:00am est, about an hour before the race day reset.

The Grid 2 contest was actually down most of yesterday. It's back today, but I just tried it, and I'm wondering if they changed it (I only did it once before this) because I tried clicking the final spot at 2:40 and it gave me a finishing time of 3:09. The end of the race just seemed longer. Anybody else notice this?
I've gotten a couple different videos. Once (Chicago?) that seems to be the most frequent and another that's mostly close-ups of the car.

Right, because The Witcher is a series that only dudebros play and is incredibly commercialized.

Yeah, I think titanfall as most anticipated is pretty spot on. Pretty much every gaming website I read won't shut up about it, plus it's made by guys who used to make call of duty, plus it adds in giant robots. Plus the "multi-player only" thing is perfect, because it's not like people buy COD for the single player campaign.

re GMG:

You can get double your money off by using your browser's back function. Actually, you can't. The next page fixes the glitch. Was excited to get Typing of the Dead for almost free.

So if you have games to trade in and want to exploit the glitch, here's what you do:

1. Add game to cart, proceed to checkout.
2. (Optional) Input GMG20-CV2W4-DSYBT
3. Go to your Library and click "trade-in" on a game
4. You should get a 404, so click back twice
5. Repeat steps 3-4 for all games]

Sorry - but, I still play COD for both its SP Campaign and MP.

Titanfall won't be getting my money 'til it's $5.25 on GMG. ;)

The same treatment from me will probably also go for The Division, Destiny, and the racing game The Crew as well.

Pinball FX2 CAG Group!? Awesome. You can add me if you want. Motiv :joystick:

I'm saddened that Dead Island Riptide (Steam) wasn't onsale for less than $5.00 like rumored at GameFly. 80% off MSRP at $5.99 is cheap after the 20% off December coupon (GFDDEC20). Pretty tempting.

Other mentionables on sale:

Metro Last Light: Season Pass (Steam) - $3.99 w/ the coupon

Saints Row IV: Season Pass (Steam) - $3.19 w/ the coupon.
SR4 season pass for $3.19 is tempting. Has anyone played Enter the Dominatrix? I think the Christmas DLC is coming out in a week or so.

Awesome, sorry I missed that post earlier.  Thanks Eldredpe!  Exactly what I was looking for... bought the season pass :)

Now I have to redownload SR4 haha.

Might be late to the party but regarding which GTA to get before IV - I loved III myself, found Vice City to be fun, but more of the same.  San Andreas looked really good but never got into it.

Have you considered Red Dead Redemption?  It's GTA but in the old West.  The only Rockstar game I've EVER played to completion.

Still waiting for RDR PC port....

I'd like to nominate Bully if we are talking Rockstar games. It's still easily my favorite out of their games that I've played and not nearly as serious as most of there stuff either. I mean, how many games do you have to escort a fat kid to the bathroom so he doesn't pee himself?

And yes, I realize I'm incredibly immature. Time to egg the principal

This just bumped up my playlist a bit. I personally find Rockstar a bit overrated as developers. They make consistently solid games, but their calling card is GTA, which I find overrated. I just get a very "mehhhh" taste from their games. Good, but could do without. None of their games (that I've played, obviously) would even make my top 20, probably. Red Dead Redemption is spectacular, though, and on the periphery of that top 20.

My favorites have always been the Rockstar Brawlers. Bully, Manhunt, and especially The Warriors. Solid but relatively simple combat, and kickass stories. I'd throw the Max Payne Trilogy ahead of the GTAs also, although the first two were more Remedy than Rockstar.

Congrats, and thanks for the, uh, Dick.

Well, I bought Typing of the Dead today on GMG with coupon for five bucks and change.  I just finished it on the hard difficulty and... my reactions are mixed.

Maybe I hyped myself up too much, as I absolutely loved the wonky humor of the first game.  The original Typing of the Dead was hilarious and it also legitimately helped me become a better typer (I generally hit 130-140 wpm on typeracer and other tests).  I'm glad that TotD:Overkill exists and I'm glad I bought it... but I can't help but be a bit disappointed.

The bosses are not nearly as clever as the original TotD, which often used the fact that you were TYPING and not SHOOTING to create unique scenarios.  I still remember the hydra boss that asked riddles, to which you had to type the correct "multiple choice" answer from its many heads.  I also miss the themed breakouts where multiple zombies would swarm you with a certain type of word (sports themed, political themed, etc).  Maybe they left this out because the DLC somewhat provides this, but it's still disappointing.

Last of all, I absolutely cannot stand the dialogue and story in Overkill.  This is no fault of the Typing adaptation, but I didn't realize how much I'd hate the Grindhouse Samuel L Jackson wannabe flavor until I played through it.  House of the Dead 2 (which TotD was based on) had a dumb story, but it was fun and stupid in the same way as the first Resident Evil (G's BLOODSTAINS is up there with Jill Sandwich for me).  I'm embarrassed to play this game now, even though I still enjoy the typing mechanics.

Also, multiplayer seems to be broken.  I searched for a random online player, but I wasn't able to select any minigames as the "ready" button would flash but not stay lit.  If I went to story mode, I couldn't change difficulty or stage at all.  Maybe I wasn't host?  But there was no indication and the other player was not doing anything either.

Oh well, it's still a fun game as long as I skip every cutscene (similar to Bayonetta for me).  My favorite wordplays so far have been "A Sassy Creed", "Two Four Six Oh One", and "Miley's Fantastic Tongue" (wtf?)...

P.S. If anyone wants to play this game multiplayer, let me know :)  My Steam ID is imac2much.
