GGT 290 Plays Video Games on Finals Week with McHale and Keighley

I lied. I guess it's dependent on the map. I'm hovering 45-60 FPS.

I might have to overclock my CPU but I don't know how the heck to do that. Do I need more RAM? New CPU? Comps are so complicated.
I'm happy that I can play with a lower FPS and not care :p

To overclock, you'll either need to go directly to the bios and try to up the speed, or else use a software tool that does that for you.  Assuming your motherboard is friendly about that sort of thing.

There is software for this? Whaaaaaaat? And how can I even check to see if my motherboard is able to OC? Senpai... p-please....

Your old eyes can't see past 30 fps anyways.
Shots fired.

If I can beat you while I am playing in 30 fps and you are playing in 60 fps I really don't care ;D
But you can't.

Remember that time we played fighting games?

Not that 30 more fps gives me an advantage since I'm already such #marvelpro

Yeah, apparently you only remember half of it though. Remember, Marvel = you beat me, but I was able to win at Blazblue :D

Did you build the PC yourself?  Do you know what kind of motherboard you have?  Do you know what kind of CPU you have?  You may or may not have a setup that's conducive to overclocking.  Usually you press F2 on boot to get to the BIOS screen.  Some motherboard and GPU manufacturers come with windows software that can set the bios commands for you for CPU and graphics.

If you're not comfortable, I'd avoid it.   Overclocking can cause instability and problems.

I know a couple of networking stuff in relation to PCs and a few things here and there about computer parts but it's been years since I've had an experience in actually building a PC.

._.

All good games, been a while since I've played Sunshine myself, would love to see GC digital releases on the Wii U.
I actually like Sunshine a good lot more than most people, it is just a bit too similar to 64 to warrant playing through right away (and I'd need to break out the Wii for it).

Got Peggle 2 a while ago since it came out on X1 today, played through the first set of 10 levels and it's just more Peggle, not there's anything wrong with that. The timed challenge is like play 10 online matches in 24 days, so I'll be giving that a go sometime here. These games can get addicting dX

Same here, I liked the design of the world in Sunshine and how they made it a little more unique compared to most Marios. But I can definitely understand not wanting to play it right after 64.

All I really remember of Sunshine at this point is a roller coaster boss that seemed impossible due to the awful camera.

Finally finished Wonderful 101, the last bit of that game is way too long, the boss was like 2 hours long and then there's a completely unnecessary epilogue after that in addition to credits. Holy hell. I had a lot of fun with it overall, they just really should've cut out a level or two.

Welp, this graphics card purchase just got a lot more expensive.

I should have stuck to a PS4.
Nah.

Quick boot camp on overclocking, from what Hank taught me.

You need a mobo that supports it and a cpu that's unlocked.

Once that's in the bag, and you've got enough cooling, you can overclock -- from my experience, my motherboard has a utility that I was able to install with the drivers that allows you easy graphical access to overclocking and HW monitoring.

I'm completely addicted to ToX. I guess I need to play more Tales games now.
Vesperia is probably the best one of this generation, I thought Graces was just ok. I'd also reccomend Star Oean: Last Hope-It has similar gameplay but with it's own little cool twists.

I played Star Ocean: Last Hope, but I didn't really like it. The combat and stuff was fine, but the characters were pretty lame.

Lux, it doesn't sound like your PC is overclockable.  Prebuilt PCs seldom are unless you went with a gamer PC from a boutique seller.

frost, how true is the myth that overclocking your pc reduces the lifespan of it?

Hey gunnm, how about that Raiden for the Xbox versions of Ground Zeroes compared to the classic Snake.
say what now

I haven't kept up with MGS V at all until recently I didn't even know phantom limb or w/e was a separate thing you had to purchase

Oh its just one mission. Nothing too exciting who cares konami still fucked over everybody with an xbox on MGR fuck em and by everybody I mean americans only but america is #1 so everybody stands

Damn. I want it.

Good thing the eventual PC version should have all the DLC. ;)
Yeah, it looks pretty cool. If a PC version does ever actually come out then it wouldn't surprise me if it did have that stuff in it :p

Yeah, but the PS versions are just getting that one thing as well, so it's just a little bonus. Personally I think the Raiden one looks better than Classic Snake but they both look pretty cool. As for MGR, it seems like they are doing what they did to us on both systems now with this exclusive stuff :p

Excuse me? What the fuck?

Indignate, I'm going to beat some skill into you when BBCP comes out.
My BB play is sloppy dawg. I completely stopped practicing when CP was announced.

Also, I feel like he used Tager.

Which platform? PS3?
It's only on PS3 so I don't know, maybe Dreamcast.

So indiggie is going to buy a PS4 to play BBCP with you, eh?

He is a really great friend, isn't he? ;)
See the above.

Dreamcast's are pretty cheap nowadays.
