Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Just a heads up if your friend with Babo (he/she is a seller in steam trade thread). I don't know if his account is hacked or what but I received this a while ago. When I didn't click the link he removed me from his friend list.

Klassy... Cause you know legit Corporate sites try to hide who they are.

Hmm, if I didn't already have ITSD from the Amazon Bundle this would be a no brainer.  As it stands, I'm going to have to think about it.  Sure, sure, after countless nights of tossing and turning and realizing I'm buying to many repeats, I'll inevitably end up buying it anyway.  When I feel dirty about it afterwards, I'll continue longing for an Indie Bundle Anonymous group...

Which is why I had a stretch of something like 16/20 Indie Royale's skipped. But then I started to have skipper's remorse about the Greenlit keys...
Meh, IR is pricey, and unless one gets in at launch one feels cheated. It's not like those games won't resurface as steam-key bundles. For me IR is usually pretty poor value... lacking some solid draw, e.g. like their Gundemonium Collection bundle.

I just realized the Steam trailer for Dragon Age Ultimate Edition is set to 30 Seconds to Mars "Closer to the Edge".

That is the only cool thing relative to an EA game in quite some time.  Wonder if it will be any cheaper come the next sale.

The EA humble bundle says "y u forget me?"

DA UE won't be cheaper, unless there's a glitch. It's routinely 7.50, and the game came out like 4 years ago or so...I think they're done dropping the price on it. Five bucks base game, 7.50 for base/all dlc isn't bad. Git it meow if you want it

Krugozor/jakenome might get it for cheaper, not sure if its region locked or whatevs tho

IR has adjusted their prices a bit, at least for their debut bundles. I think the last debut bundle started at $2.99. I agree with you though. I've bought 42 IR bundles, and just recently started skipping a bunch. I haven't bought any in the last 8 bundles. The best games from IRs usually end up in Groupees or Indie Gala. If it weren't for this consistent pattern, I would've kept buying them. They need to make their pricing static and add higher quality games to their bundles for me to go back to buying them.

Unlikely, though the pack of DAO:UE and DA2 has been $8 on GMG a couple times.

Humble has given away the Batman series + Scribblenauts and other games that have never been below $5 before for the same price that Bundlestars sells Doc Clock and Snuggletruck. They're not the same, not even remotely close. That said, I've missed all older bundles containing the majority of the current bundle fodder, and I've got a thing for werewolves, so I bought in. Hopefully, it and Slender don't lick the D.
If I recalled correctly, Doc Clock and Snuggletruck were given out for free in some promos recently.

Anyone saw this?

King's Bounty has a new F2P game call King’s Bounty: Legions released on steam today and more Minecraft clones - FortressCraft Evolved!

I actually like how each bundle website feels like they've developed their own strange personality over the last year.

Humble Bundle: The previous King of the Bundles who let his hubris cloud his vision; all of a sudden he noticed that other bundlers were taking a bite of his pie, so he stooped to standards he never would have imagined before, so that he can provide his goods more often, but with less quality. Still has some great offerings at times, but not nearly a homerun like before. He occasionally uses his good name and connections to weasel into the pants of big name celebrities who he has no right to be seen with (Origin, WB, probably Square-Enix and Capcom soon...)

Indie Royale: The college graduate who thinks he's hot stuff, even though he pads his resume with useless accolades like "Regional Spelling Bee runner up" or "Assistant to the Treasurer for NHS." He often has goods that are different from his peers, but they generally make people question his sanity to be charging such high prices. Doesn't seem to care when only 100-200 people buy his stuff, and doesn't much understand the concept of supply and demand as he only learned economics by reading the jacket cover of a textbook.

Indie Gala: The guy or girl that you find annoying most of the time, but you don't mind taking out for the night because he/she is a cheap date. Especially during happy hour.

Groupees: Like a fine connoisseur of fine wine, except he has the intelligence to not judge a spirit by its label. He doesn't always have the most well known offerings, but he likes to find goods that you didn't know you'd like until you tried it. He is generally confident enough that you are allowed to pick and choose to your liking. Eccentric at times but overall quite likable.

Bundle Stars: The underachiever who wants to do well and please but is generally picked last during dodgeball. Today he gives nice offerings on goods but is generally relegated to sloppy seconds after other people have done what they had to do first. Plucky and willing to please, yet almost always late to the party.

Bundle Bandits: The creepy uncle. You're not sure if you should trust him or not. Claims to have untold fortunes in his basement.

On topic: I like bundle stars because I often miss other bundles. I bought the current one since the only game I have is AYIM and twisted shadow planet.
LOL...this is great (and incredibly accurate, in my opinion).

Good catch there.
I'm assuming the game has already been released on Facebook and phones and that's where they're getting this impressive number, but it does make for a humorous juxtaposition.

It looks like since 2009 Nival has made nothing but F2P games and not really ones you've ever heard of. The dev of the KB reboot games is Kautamari Interactive.

STOP YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO JUSTIFY YOUR OPINION

QUIET DEMON
LOUD NOISES
How can you just leave me standing
Alone in a world that's so cold?
Maybe I'm just too demanding
Maybe I'm just like my father: too bold
Maybe you're just like my mother
She's never satisfied
Why do we scream at each other?
This is what it sounds like

Where's Preedatore? Has he seen this? If you're going to be  fake truck driver in Europe at this time of year, you may as well do it with Frosty painted on your cab.

I'm glad I asked. :)

Last question... Aren't all Bethesda games region locked...?

(If so I wonder if it might be cheaper to do it all separately as I'm sure Bethesda's sale on the whole series won't be THAT cheap.)

Sorry, I know next to nothing about the steam database website... (Other than it locks my browser up whenever it goes to load a page.)

Also when I just looked I saw that Fallout 3 GotY got added to a package 4 hours ago...

http://steamdb.info/sub/61/
I think many of Bethesda's games have Russian and ROW versions. I doubt Fallout will get a special Russian version, if anything they'll just change the publisher.

And that package seems to be a list of all Steam games. :p

Crap, Steam marketplace just told me about the 200 listings limit. I'm Canadian but technically I have dual citizenship with the US. I have never lived there. What do I do?

The grid 2 cards have a pretty good list price, the low end of the ones I have are 19-23 cents. Surprising.
Uh oh. Uh, send them proof that you're not American? A friend of mine in Mexico had to wait -weeks- for them to clear him. And he's in Mexico.

Yeah but don't forget to take into account the fact that Blood of the Werewolf is a terrible game. Seriously, such a misleading game .. it's nowhere near as good as the trailers would imply. It's bad.
*ears perk up

I'm actually considering getting this for that and Slender. Whyyyyyyyyyyyy.

lol...well that's a bit harsh.
hahah it would seem that way butttt in the beginning of the movie when they all introduce themselves brick says "i have iq of 42 (or something like that) and in a few years, a doctor will tell me i am what is considered 'mentally retarded'"

straight from the mouth of babes yo

Hey, have some crappy bundle keys, its goo foo u ^_^

It sounds like Steam is never gonna send our info to the IRS regardless of whether they're collecting it, saw this in the fine print:

Please note that we are not required to report this information or information about your sales to the IRS under section 6050W of the Internal Revenue Code unless you engage in more than 200 sales in a single calendar year AND the gross sales proceeds from those sales exceeds $20,000 in a single calendar year.
I don't hesitate to tell em I'm not a US citizen in this case. I don't consider myself one but my parents were so I have dual, so I don't know if I would have gotten busted or something.

What's the deal with this game? I've never bothered to find out anything about it. I'm pretty mad at Bioware so it'd have to be really good for me to buy that shit. Is this game similar to some other RPG that I'd be familiar with?
If you've ever played baldurs gate/icewind dale/any of dose types of games, its combat is similar - strategic party based combat. Typical good bioware writing but a plot that's pretty unremarkable, imho. Worth a buy, not very similar to any modern game

Thanks. Doesn't sound like anything I need to play, and with the fact that there's no controller support I'm gonna pass. At least for now. I still have to play Dark Souls.

Dark souls is way better + more original + if you dig deep enough, its world/lore/story is infinitely more interesting. There's only like, 50 lines of writing in the whole game though (not counting item descriptions) so i guess dragon age at least has it beat there.

There are not many, if any, newer games that are like it.

Most recent I can think of is Knights of the Old Republic. If you liked that, you'll like this.

In case you do decide to play it sometime, Xpadder is your friend!

I played through Mass Effect 3 with Xpadder, worked okay but wasn't ideal.

It isn't like the Baldur's Gate games on the consoles, it isnt an ARPG. In fact, I can't fathom how console players dealt with the tactical aspect of combat in it without pulling their hair out.

We all get it. It's just that BundleStars would be a lot better if they offered the Build-A-Bundle structure.

And you don't have to white knight the bundles. Getting apprehensive and controlling over other people's opinions is a little annoying. It's not YOUR website, is it? If it is, make it a Build-A-Bundle and quit whining. :(
yea the price is high if i dodnt have games i want and i dont want i only buy if a few or less or it cheap groupees is better at. to me some of bundlestar i do buy cause i have one or two or collelction eespically racing but some arent worth it like majestic one or some like zomibe/halloween one only game i want so i didnt buy lucky a friend give me clutch. humble bundle with their evil bta i dont do it unless i realy want that game.

That was my reaction too, none of the MEs have it.
wutttt lame as shit

Edit: Just a reminder of Gamefly's winter sale. There's actually a few good deals in there...just picked up book of unwritten tales, which usually is five bucks when on sale. It's 4.00, when you use the 20% off code, it's 3.19

If you're really wanting controller support, I'd suggest just playing Mass Effect and Dragon Age even, on console. The HUD and UI for the PC versions were made with K&M in mind. Personally, I don't know why you'd want to play them with a controller. I mean with Mass Effect the ability to hotkey 8 abilities vs what, three on console is what makes the PC version better IMO.

I'm no hater of controllers by any means - I've got a wired 360 controller plugged into this very machine. But I have to agree here... DA plays very well with m/k.

If anyone has an interest in western RPGs and hasn't played Dragon Age: Origins, you really should at least give it a try.

+ Good characters

+ Pretty good story (if not a tad generic)

+ Your choices actually have an effect on the story in many ways

+ High replayability - each character has a completely unique beginning (a couple of hours of play, maybe). Together with the aforementioned choices you should be able to play through many times.

+ Not a strategy snooze-fest.

+ Lots of included DLC which gives you plenty of options to explore character development or alternate endings (quality is mixed, but overall good)

Is Paradigm Shift any good? Still debating whether to gamble on bundlebandits. Bleh.
I'd have trouble finding the post, but Idiot played it back when it was in a Groupees bundle and had nothing remotely good to say about it. If you manage to find the post it's a decent read, assuming you like me enjoy scathing reviews with lots of snark ;)

does ME3 not have controller support? DA FUQ
Bioware is super weird like that. NONE of their games have controller support, not even the console friendly DA2. If you check the Steam forums you'll surely see Motoki complaining about it.

And if you check any other thread, you'll see Motoki complaining about something else. :p
