haha, so here's a pro tip from someone who's been in the IT industry for 30+ years (TRS80's and before). If you're daft enough to take your killer password and type it into a website, where it could be captured and associated back to you (cookies or worse), you may not be as concerned about security as you thought you were. If I was a devious Russian, I think that would be my site.

This site could be stealing your password... it's not, but it easily could be.
Be careful where you type your password.

EDIT: Has anybody figured out what determines when CAG 3.0 will decide that your line breaks shouldn't be line breaks and smush everything together?

Switching to bbcode fixes most of 3.0's annoyances.

I just read that Windows 8.2 will come early 2015 and bring back the start menu (rumor). I was strongly considering switching to 8.1 from 7 but my friend who uses both couldn't be stronger in proclaiming that 8 is total garbage compared to 7. He hasn't tried those classic mods though.

8.1 is practically 7 if you just turn on book to desktop anyway. Start menu isn't as good as it should be but a  lot better than in 8.

The rest is pretty much the same, but I think the 8.1 runs faster and smoother than 7. In addition it has got some cool features which 7 hasn't like improved task manager or ability to restore clean install from system settings.

I've never tried it, but it appears to be multiplayer only (almost never a good thing) and scores are abysmal. Does anyone have a compelling reason to give it a try?

They aren't an employer, but they are a source of income, thus the need for info for possible tax reporting purposes. I suppose Ebay, Etsy and the like collect similar information at some amount of sales.

Cheapshark is actually awesome. That's what I primarily use if I just want straight deals/a good roundup. It even includes metascore and rates the deal on a 1-10 basis, based on percent off, time of release, previous pricing, and metascore

The fact that that's actually your dog (didn't realize that, just assumed it was a pic you found on the interwebs for some reason) makes that so much awesome-er

This aligns with my Windows 8 experience exactly. I used the Windows 7 start menu as a search launcher. Hit windows key, type program I want to launch, hit enter. It's the same here. The start menu redesign is dumb for desktops, but it's not an issue. My system is a bit snappier. Everything has worked. New features are good.

I don't think there's really anything enticing enough to get people to switch, but it's not something I'd tell people to avoid.

I just adopted my first dog in August, a beagle. She's 8 years old and came from a puppy mill rescue agency, and has some bad habits as a result of lack of proper socialization and training - not completely house broken, she gets aggressive when it comes to her food. She's so lovable though, every morning she wakes me up between 6 30 and 7 by licking my face. She loves licking your face, a little too much, haha...if you let her she'll just keep at it and won't stop until you push her off.

It's been a bit challenging w/her habits and all, but rewarding...maybe next dog i get I'll get a puppy...just didn't want to get one for my first dog, they're a lot of work.

I don't recall who did mine, but I was able to find it. As an aside, changing the profile pic is much easier on CAG 3.0.

As for puppy mills, I worked with a vet for a year and at a rescue shelter for another summer. I used to be so disillusioned with the way some people or organizations churn out dogs with little consideration for the mother in order to make a profit, but it was such a good experience to meet the hundreds of people with a true love for animals that would take in dogs and cats who were previously abused/abandoned and thus had some serious personality issues. I know not everyone likes pets, but I do wonder about the psychological wellness of any person who intentionally inflicts pain on dogs/cats for pleasure. Kudos to you for giving your beagle a new home!
