I held off on getting Dust this past sale in the hopes it would be in the next numbered HB. If it's not, then I'll probably cave and buy it for 75% off during the Winter Sale.

Yeah, no crap - Bioshock 1 is great.

I'd said it really adds to the experience to play Bioshock 1 before Infinite, anyways.

And for all you gamers out there that played both Bio 1 and Infinite...

...you definitely know WHY!

EDIT:

I ain't played SR4, but certainly do want to...eventually.

About FC3 - currently playing that. MAJOR improvement over FC2, IMHO - especially on the side-questing. FC3 is pretty good - but yeah, there's something about Bioshock: Infinite for me; and it looks like it still will wind-up my 2013 PC GOTY.

The color output on the Asus is unbelievable, but the Sony helps quite a bit when gaming and doing something potentially nauseous. I remember the original Portal being far worst than the sequel for some reason when it came to that queasy feeling. It's not exclusive to PC games either. I couldn't really play Metal Gear Solid 3 until they re-released it with the new camera options, Kojima specifically said it was because people were getting sick from moving the camera while playing.

^_^ *that* 144 Hz Asus is the only current monitor with an upgrade path to Gsync. There's also supposedly a lightboost hack with that monitor as well (though I'm not sure how agreeable 120+Hz lightboost flicker would be.)

Aah cool, thanks good to know. One factor keeping Portal 2 in ye olde backlog has been assumption of motion sickness.

I'm about 20 hours into Dust, and I have to say, it's really well done. The art and voice acting is fantastic. The action is decent (though lacking in depth in comparison to most brawlers, e.g. Shank, Fairy Blood Freesia, Odin Sphere). The exploration angle is solid.

Also, didn't see this posted, but Harris Teeter has all Sam Adams 12 packs for $12.99 and 93% lean ground beef for $3.99/lb. Go go go! It's a Winter Lager and burger kind of night!

I agree with you that the combat lacks depth, but you really think Shank is better in that regard?

Steam controller is the only part I'm actually interested in hearing people's (or spoder's) experiences with. Steambox hardware simply normal gaming PC. And well, I like to do more than one with with my 'puters. I'm happier running Steam in Win/Lin/Mac.

Yeah, I want to see some spodervids with the controller in action. In addition, I'm also curious about the SteamStreamers. I've seen hardly any updates regarding their streaming tech and that's something I might actually be in the market for.

 
If this turns out to be a year where the event stuff (i.e. Snow Globe cards) actually has some value, Ima be pissed. I've been selling off my cards and I just realized none of them were duplicates (unlike a bunch of my card drops).

Also Old Lara looks great.  New Lara is creepy.  And I think the major "improvements" are simply bringing the console versions up to speed with PC anyway.

Raptr just told me "You now outrank Motoki in Awesomenauts". All I did was idle for cards, Raptr has some low standards.

Steam Machine is kind of a shitty name.
