  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

The sale was a good, but I picked almost all the stuff I was interested in within the last year. I'm really digging Armored Core: Verdict Day; considering how hard an On people have for Dark Souls it's baffling that AC is so slept on. If any body wants a team to join, I've started one as LIVING.

I know it's the cool thing to hate on CoD, but the Zombies maps are completely different and basically each their own Arcade game. I've had $10 worth of fun with each, so I'll be picking up whichever pack Buried is in.

I might grab Persona 4 Arena if it's still up in the morning. I rented it for a month but only played it twice. P4 is my favorite game, and I love Guilty Gear, but it just didn't grab me.

If im not mistaken (and I know im not), it wasn't too long ago many here ACTUALLY wanted these items to be a dotw. Seems a bit silly for said dlc to finally go on sale now, but atleast it did.

I'd get Dirt 3 if I played more than 30 minutes of Dirt 2....can't see spending 5 more dollars on yet another racer I won't play. Plus I'd rather just get the GOTY version.

Anyone know if Overlord 2 is worth it? If so, should I play the first before starting this game?

Why do people think there is a DLC sale this week?  Did I miss something?  The top post on r/xbox360 is stating that the DLC sale "has begun!"

 
Holy crap, I am having so much fun with Ridge Racer: Unbounded, the demo did this game NO justice. If you like arcade racing games I think you'll like this one. I don't think you can get 3 stars on the first race, possibly, but I just continued to race the new unlocked tracks and then when I had a faster car went back to the previous ones to improve my time and score. The drifting is a bit of a learning curve but after some time you should get it. It's all about drifting, boost, drifting, take out car, drifting, boost, blast through a market and blow up a fuel truck lol. Yeah destructable environments is pretty freakin' cool I just created my first track and playing the world's now.

I love watching people be disappointed about things they made up in their own minds and assumed was true. This one won't be too bad at all, but the Games with Gold snafu with Halo 3 and Defense Grid was hilarious!

If you're talking about the DLC, it hasn't. It's been at the 50% price at least 2-3 times with the last time being sometime in 2012 according to XBLDB.

Looks like my wallet's safe this week. I agree that the GoD prices are terrible, but a BlOps 2 DLC/Season Pass sale is actually NEW (and long overdue), and the prices are the usual, so I'm not too offended. I believe my youngest brother (who's been more into CoD than I), will be happy to hear about that, especially the Zombies stuff.

For those of you waiting for CoD DLC to be 75% off, keep dreaming. They still put the MW1 DLC for 50% off.. and that was 6 games ago!

Edit: Turns out there's no Season Pass for MW3. Never knew that.

Probably will have to wait until 2017 for that to happen. Or a really lucky DLC sale at the end of the year. IW and Treyarch do not drop their DLC prices that often so if you want a good price, this would be it.

K I think I am royally fucked on Rock Band Blitz.  So only 3 songs are showing up in the game.  I guess after buying the game you're supposed to start it up and download the rest of the songs for the game.  Apparently I never did that despite having booted the game up before.  Well that sucks.

Unrelated but, does anyone know any discounted Xbox credit sites like CrazyGameTime? They're out of stock, and I'm trying to get $15 worth of credit at a minor discount.

I read that was a problem when buying the game through the sales and specials app. I'm not sure if a solution was ever found, but there might be one floating around somewhere on the internet.

I haven't tried it yet (can't play until Friday), but I would try clearing cache and trying again. If that doesn't work, clear cache, delete Rock Band Blitz, and re-download it.

If he clears his cache it may render some of his DLC content unplayable for other games. Don't some things need their updates for the dlc to work? And he can't re-download anything, he's banned from XBL.
 
Sorry if this has already been asked but does Dirt 3 come with the VIP Pass (unlocks all multiplayer modes, incl. 5 cars and ability to upload to YouTube). It's one of the codes you'd find in new/retail copies so that usually means that it's built in to the GoD version, but thought I'd ask before I pull the trigger.

My mistake. I thought you were saying all your purchased/downloaded Rock Band songs weren't showing up in Blitz. Not that the games that were supposed to be included with the Blitz purchase weren't showing up at all.

RYSE DLC is supposed to be on sale. We won't know until MajorNelson posts because xbldb doesn't track Xbox One stuff.

Yes, some games with DLCs need updates to either enable said DLC, or just an overall update before the DLC can be played.

As far as I know, every GoD games come with the pass to unlock multiplayer if the game requires it.

 
I'm almost done with Dante 's Inferno, but I just got to the circle challenges, and I am not enjoying them. The rest of the game has been fun, albeit creepy as balls. Thanks to the mediocre DOTW, I decided to spend the last $7 in my account on DiRT 3 and Rock of Ages. I kept hoping I could get a rally fix from the Forza Horizon DLC, but I'm convinced it's never seeing a sale. To get a full rally game in DiRT for a quarter of the price of Horizon's pack, I'm happy.

The end of the game seemed liked they ran out of money to be honest. Although I am not sure if they actually make games in order like that. Anyway the last 3 levels are pretty much the same thing over and over. Let me know what you think of the final boss though. They did not get shy with it for certain.

It's very unlikely to see a sale outside of the Season Pass because M$ wants you to buy the more expensive item. I just picked up the Season Pass last time it was on sale (I believe during the holidays) because it comes with the Rally expansion and it was a good price for everything that was included. But yeah, don't get your hopes up, just bite the bullet on the Season Pass when it goes on sale again.

 
Just a warning for those who got Dirt 3: DO NOT try to sync your Youtube account with it because I got a message on my gmail saying someone was attempting to hack into my account (maybe some type of phishing attempt or something I'm not sure? That and for some reason even with the correct credentials it still wouldn't work). I googled the IP and it seems others had the same problem so just be careful if you do that. Shame too because I really wanted to try out the Youtube feature.

 
Thanks for the comments guys.  The game was actually just on sale on PSN and I skipped it since I knew I still had it in my XBLA backlog. Oh well, if it ever goes on sale on PSN again I'll grab it.

Also got through Mortal Kombat Arcade Edition (bought during my "gotta buy everything on sale" phase, what a stupid purchase) and R-Type Dimensions (not too bad, though I'm not nearly good enough to play on the normal mode, I have to have infinite lives).  Down to 45 games!

No that happened with me when I played Dirt 3 a while ago, it's just you have to connect your Xbox Gamertag to your Youtube account, no phishing going on.

Yes Dirt 3 has multiplayer, it's rally mode and party mode where you can compete with others on the rally circuit or just messing around doing a variety of party modes that are way better than you'd think actually.

Sorry to keep dragging up and cluttering this thread with my question - I know Dirt 3 has multiplayer but I'm wondering if the Game on Demand version of Dirt 3 has multiplayer built in (not requiring an additional $10 purchase of the VIP pass). Thanks!

 
Well I did pretty well on that sale got Mass Effect, State of Decay, Oblivion, and Alan Wake American Nightmare. Skipped Dante's Inferno because I assumed I'd need that 3 bucks for something else, sadly I was wrong...

Hm...makes sense but still weird that someone from the Netherlands was attempting to hack into my account at the same time (and like I said I found I wasn't the only one with this issue). Just a warning but makes sense to link the accounts before logging in. How exactly is this done? On Youtube?

Yes the MP/Youtube works without the VIP pass with the GoD version of Dirt 3. Was just playing it myself.

It's the Ryse season pass for $13.50. Not sure if you can "share" the DLC with friends, IE inviting them to your game. It worked with the day one edition stuff. Guess I'll find out since I bought the season pass, but PVZ comes out tomorrow so won't be able to give a update for awhile.

Peace Walker's a good bet. It's one of the most action oriented games in the series(MGR aside of course). It does very much feel like a portable game, but when you get used to it, and get the hand of all the Mother Base stuff, it's pretty fun.
