The number is right on the top of the box. No need to open anything up. Mine is pretty low (in the 3k range), doesnt mean a whole lot to me since I plan on keeping it, but quite happy with it. GameStop CE's for the win.

Plastic is straight broken, cardboard casing is ripped on one side, dented to hell on the other. Hard cover book is actually bent and the spine is destroyed :/

This is bad. What did the box it was shipped in look like? If this was inside an undamaged shipping box the employee should be fired.
 
Mine arrived safely, though I had half the airbubbles as the one in the picture and they were only on one side of the box, so it could slide around all it wanted during shipment. They are individually serial numbered through 18,000. Mine was in the 15,000s and I preordered it the first day it was available (before they even had a pic of it).

 
i ordeed 2 both separate orders and one had some air bubbles on one side, not much mind you and the other had nothing in it so it was probably flopping around in the box. both of them were fine so i got lucky.

 
My CE arrived in a (shockingly) air packet-filled box, such that the CE was cushioned on all sides, and it looked absolutely pristine. Its number is in the low 15000s, and I also preordered it early on before any product image appeared.

Now, what to do with it...? I really want to keep the steelbook, soundtrack, and game (since it comes with a physical manual, unlike the vanilla version), but the other items don't interest me all that much. :whistle2:k

It was actually in the same box that the person above me posted. Air bubbles on one side and the CE on the other. Bad luck I guess.

Well, I had planned on playing the game anyways. I guess I'll just face the box so I can't see the destroyed side. But on the inside the book was the only thing damaged.

 
My number was low 4,000s. I picked mine up from Gamestop. Not that it matters. Unless I got #1, because I'd put it on ebay for like $500 knowing some OCDer would pay out the ass for it.

 
I got the worst Amazon rep ever. The guy keeps insisting I need to return the item for a full refund, and seems like he gave me a "Well shit happens" response when I said it was sold out and I still want the item.

I called 3 Gamestops around here today asking about copies and before I could even explain why I was calling got the employees apologizing and saying they didn't get ANY of their copies at 2 of the stores. Good luck man.

 
Lol, this rep offered me a full refund and a 20$ credit to buy the item again from a 3rd party seller. Apparently he doesnt understand the issue and the rarity of the item. (The cheapest 3rd party is like 205$ lol).

I really wish my location were more stable at the moment. Despite all of the GS hate, they never give me damaged boxes.

Got mine today from Amazon came well packed and in pristine condition my number is in the 17,000 and I ordered on Oct 15th. I guess we now know who the extra 3k went to.

Both are in fantastic condition too thankfully.  Keeping the GS one sealed.  But for now back to PvZ cuz that game is so awesome :D

 
Damn I lucked the fuck out lol. Pre-ordered this before there was even a picture in the Amazon listing, back in October? Don't remember...anyhow didn't even remember I had this preorder, next thing I know got an email saying payment problem (of course I lost my debit card, had it replaced like a month ago). Updated my info and still managed to get it shipped out today. Arrives Friday hopefully. Cant believe this stupid kiddy game is going for over $200 on Ebay, holy shit jackpot!!! Hahahaha.

 
I should be the example of CAG. I cancelled my preorder 2 days ago. I probably made a kid's dreams come true when they found out they could buy a copy that I cancelled. I should be president of CAG.. such a nice lad I am.

The same reason why people judge individuals that like Anime. The general public perceives "cartoons" as childish even though plenty of Anime and video games centered on Japanese culture revolve around adult story lines.

Got my two copies from GameStop though. Both are numbered in the 4000s.

 
I am praying my tales of symphonia CE comes through and in without any problems.

Amazon has been great lol.

Looking forward to it tomorrow.

The CE I ordered from GS was numbered in the lower 3000 range. The extra one they had available there that I grabbed was in the high 5000 range.  :whistle2:

Well at least he didn't order more than one. I see a few hoardos on ebay, one guy has six! That's five people/fans who will miss out at a fair price. I think its fair for everyone to have one, and its their choice to do whatever they want with it without receiving much reproach. Besides I see a few people have more than one ( maybe for quality/condition issues ) posting on this thread, other fans are missing out because of that too.
