  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

So am I the only one seeing the extra sales tab next to the CoD weekly deals?  Says "save up to 75%" and has the following:

Lord I hope those are next week's deals. Galaga Legions DX is one of the FEW games I'm actually holding out for a deal on (and to my knowledge its never been on sale). 67% off would make it 3.33 in the US, just FYI. XBLDB hasn't picked up anything yet.

Yeah, Legions DX is on my XBLA buy list so I'm anxious for the prices to go live.

 
I was disappointed with Bang Bang Racing, FWIW.

Unrelated to sales, but I've been playing Crimson Alliance from my backlog (only own the assassin class) and it's been quite enjoyable so far.

I think I picked it up during a sale a few years ago. I played the trial when it first game out and was so anxious to play. Finally play it and I couldn't beat the 2nd level. Cheese and crackers I'm terrible at those types of games.

EDIT: I was thinking of Galaga Legions, not GL DX. The cheese and crackers part is still correct.

After enjoying the Pac-Man CE games so much, the Galaga Legions games were a big disappointment in comparison because they failed to really capture what people enjoyed about the original games unlike Pac-Man CE. I believe I wrote a big post in a prior thread about this a while ago, but that was sort of the gist of my point.

its never been on sale, you must be thinking of Galaga Legions (sans DX), i know because same thing happened to me. hard as fuck, but this one is supposed to be TOO easy, so... opposite problem.

The Pacman CE games just completely rocked and set a really high bar for 80's arcade remakes.....I agree 100% that Galaga failed as did the Frogger DX. Well Frogger sucked in its original life too.

Yep, that is the one I'm thinking of. If I didn't buy a bunch of games in the past month, I would have to give this newer one a try. I like easy, as long as the game is fun.

 
Damn I hope we get more than those games, if they are the deals. haven't gotten anything in months. it's either been crap Or I paid more for it. Might have to get I am Alive finally or Lord of Shadows and then watch it drop to 75% two weeks later.
 
I really hope we get the Assassin's Creed DLCs on sale again one day. I'd also like to see the original on sale, though free would be nice.

I want the Lost Archive, Da Vinci Disappearance, and the AC3 season pass but I am not paying full price for them.

Might grab Galaga if that is indeed next weeks sales. I have CoJ, I Am Alive and Scott Pilgrim but have yet to play them...good thing I got them around current prices from sales not tool long ago. Maybe lost a buck or two but its not even worth checking what I paid. Who cares right? Why look into something that's going to set off the Incredible Hulk in you?

 
Solid sales right there, though I already own most things since these are mostly reruns. I'm considering Galaga as many other CAGs before me, skipping the others. I Am Alive was a game I so looked forward to play, but as the game came out and so did reviews... I just can't get myself to buy it, not even at 75% as I fear it'll forever sit in my backlog. I'll buy it for 1-2$.

Also, MS may as well put Ghosts on a permanent price drop at this point. It's like what, the 4th time it goes on the same sale in the past 2 or so months?

 
Well my wallet is safe again this week.

The only three must haves are Scott Pilgrim, LOS and COJ: Gunslinger. But I grabbed the latter two a few weeks back with earlier sales and I have a feeling if you ever wanted to play Scott Pilgrim you've bought the game by now on earlier sales anyhow.

Also, why is COD: Ghosts on sale this week when we had a COD sale last week? Did Activision just forget to add that one? I do find it weird that Black Flag and Ghosts are Gold member only sales this week when they're not really all that decently discounted.

I'd never heard of Bang Bang Racing up until now. Which is weird as Digital Reality has made some very good or at least interesting games in the past few years (Skydrift, Sine Mora, Black Knight Sword). This looks like a throwback to Offroad but has terrible reviews and no online multiplayer - though I'm sure it was a smart move as who even owns this game let alone wants share its mediocre game play with friends?

I will say too that I Am Alive is a much better game than you'd likely think it was so do give it a chance if you like horror survival action games. It's very much the sort of game I had wished Deadlight to be. But it is sorta janky in some ways (not sure how Ubisoft, the company who helped create amazing climbing mechanics in AssCreed and PoP managed to muck it up a bit here) and you come away realizing that the guy you're playing as is a bit of a sadistic psycho with how he treats other survivors. I think a lot of the faults of the mediocre reviews of game were apt at a $15 price point. It lacks polish. But for $3.75 it's definitely worth it IMHO. Achievements are a pain as there's a lot of scattered pickups that are consumable but you only get rewarded if you give them to the right particular NPC. So if you are an achievement junkie you will need a guide for this one.

Do I need to have played LoS to understand Mirror of Fate?  I was going to wait for the LoS Collection to get way cheaper so I could get the game, dlc and Mirror of Fate, but I may just jump on this now.

Also seriously considering Galaga Legions DX.

 
fuck ING FINALLY! It's been far too long for Galaga Legions DX to finally have a drop. It's a good one too! Already have it on PSN, but I'm more than happy to double dip on XBLA. So excite!!

 
I didn't love Gunslinger as much as others on here, I felt like the game started to drag during the last handful of levels, but it's still worth $3.75.  Scott Pilgrim's the best game on sale IMO but it's been on sale many times already so most people already have it if they wanted it.

No, but then the quality gap isn't as wide. Pac-Man is an awful game and always has been. Pac-Man CE DX was the first in the franchise to ever not only be good, but great. Galaga Legions on the other hand was a good game to start so it could only realistically be improved marginally.

Full disclosure: I am a huge shmup fan so keep that in mind when referring to my Galaga comments.

Was kind of hoping for a deal on the season pass of The Walking Dead season 2, seeing as the second episode goes up for sale on the 5th.
