GGT 313 Declares Infamous The Final Nail in The PS4's Coffin

Anyways, let me apologize for talking HIMYM without spoilers. Leda would have been considerate so I should have been too regardless of how mediocre I thought the ending was but I shouldn't use excuses cuz that would just cheapen this apology just like the way the mother was cheapened in the show.

Did Aksys even bother promoting the new Ragnarok game? I went to GameStop today and was surprised to see it was already out.

R.I.P.

I want to buy it, but Best Buy has said sold out online for the PS3 version for forever, and I wanna use my GCU on it, so who knows if they will ever get it in but if they do I'm picking it up since it's like Monter Hunter x Phantasy Star online (although not as good as either)
well, it is basically a release of the original game, with addition contents. i will be picking my copy up this weekend from gamestop.. if any of you does decide to pick it up later down the road, maybe we can party up, and play sometime. lol

Cool. Can't wait to play with you, whoknows!

[customspoiler=More HIMYM shit, but also some Walkind Dead shit.]
I never fully spoiled any of it myself (I saw a little and skipped the rest of the posts relating to it), I was just pointing out that there were no spoiler tags in this thread though. But thanks for implying I'm stupid :D
I actually rather enjoy the show, but I get my TV through Netflix/Hulu so sometimes I have to wait to watch certain things :/
Seriously though, I am sorry if we spoiled anything. Like was mentioned, if you did watch the show, I didn't realize it and should have handled it as if everyone watches it. I also should have put together that you used that 'challenge accepted' clip. But in today's internet, whoknows what people are using without actually knowing what/where that material originated?

Also, I was only implying that you weren't as smart as me. :) So the only way I could imply that you are stupid is if... Hey! Are you implying that I'm stupid?

You should get Adblock Plus and just watch on CBS.com commercial free. Shows are usually up by the end of the day of airing.

I assumed I was the only one who watched HIMYM cuz it isn't that good of a show.

Well, I saw JSP post about it once so I assumed he watched it too.

Also, TV is usually more open season when it airs cuz you know it kind of just airs and that's it unless you're doing something illegal like Tivoing it.

Also, I can come up with more excuses.

Pineapple.
I actually did enjoy the show and it was one that I tried not to let episodes pile up, unlike The Walking Dead. I actually looked forward to watching HIMYM every week. And because of that I get...

Daryl dies.
Late April Fool's? fuck... I haven't caught up yet. If not, that's what I get.
[/customspoiler]

Please do not spoil the following shows:

Thank you!!!

Now I don't want to actually tell you if Daryl actually dies or not cuz that might be spoilers.

Weird how that works.

For what it's worth, HIMYM was a show that I did keep up on more than others, mainly cuz it was so close to ending. For instance, I'm like 3 seasons now behind on Walking Dead (that second season completely drained me), 3 seasons on Supernatural, about a season each on Modern Family and Parks & Rec, and these are all shows that I think are immensely better than HIMYM. By the end there, I was really only sticking it out on HIMYM for the legacy, Jason Segel, NPH, and because the whole show just kind of became mindless for me. There's value in that.

Either way, he is alive or dead. I guess there are other possibilities too. fuck ing DVR spoiled [customspoiler=Merle] zombie[/customspoiler] the one season when for some reason the recording schedule fuck ed up and the beginning of the recording was actually the tail end of that episode.

I'm watching True Detective now, so if you wanna try to spoil that, go ahead. And some other show that I have not on occasion posted 'about' in the GGT.

I think I figured a way to trick people into reading your spoilers: quote them within your spoiler. Unless you guys didn't get notifications. Have fun!

I just bought Journey Greatest Hits on my Kindle even though I already own it since it was a promotion on the front page and I wanted to see how the MP3 promos worked on there......and when I checked it auto bought it and didn't even tell me the total or where it got charged lol. It was only $4 at least but it kind of sucks that there isn't a confirmation page on there ><

I just had Taco Bell for breakfast. I got the sausage crunchwrap and it was fucking good. I also got a standalone hash brown and a sausage flatbread thing, they weren't as awesome.

Oh yeah, I've been playing some Yoshi's new island. It's good, but way, way too easy most of the time. I don't think I've ever played a platformer this easy before.

YES! The Sausage Crunchwrap was amazing! :D

I actually have yet to play that unfortunately, just too many games :/

It'll be interesting to see what you think. It's great as far as sound design and some level design goes, it's just that it's easy. Also, I don't like most of the special levels where Yoshi changes into other stuff. The jackhammer level was especially crappy.

Just got the neon power in Second Son, and have five districts cleared out. I'm not seeing how people are saying they're doing everything in 10 hours or so. I'd guess I've put at least five hours in and still have 8 districts to get through/clear out. I could definitely see the main story being short if you just do mostly the minimum.

Maybe I'm padding it by dying more than most people, and doing all the drug busts for karma even though I already got the trophy for doing 10 of them?

I'll be sure to write what I think after playing it some, I really liked those levels with the Yoshi forms in the original so it's kind of a bummer to hear that they aren't that great. As for the difficulty, I'm assuming it's close to something like Kirby Epic Yarn, which was crazy easy but I still enjoyed it at least.

I had oatmeal so yeah
Plain?! Flavored?! I like blueberry oatmeal a lot lol

It took me 45 minutes just to get to Seattle, so yeah, I dunno how people are ripping through the game. I mean, just sitting through cut scenes and taking my sweet ass time with things takes a while. I also tend to play games like infamous where I try to complete everything in one run. I've done this with both the previous games, although I never actually completed either. Hm, come to think of it, I really should finish those other two games in the series lol. I was pretty close to the end of Infamous 1 doe.

Been playing Crusader in Reaper of Souls. The more I play of it, the more I like.

Another job interview tomorrow, seems like an okay place to work with great pay so hopefully this one pans out.

Chaos Theory HD is like 4 bucks on PSN, definitely buying that shit.

You know you cried. Shut up. If they had called it 'How I Met Your Aunt Robin' the show would've ended after the first episode. whoknows would've liked it that way. Ted marries Robin because Lily said that the only way anyone from the group can bang Robin is if they marry her. Not a real spoiler.

I wish they would have pandered to the audience with Lost... Although I quite enjoyed the show, fuck that ending!
Nah dude, I'm not gonna read the rest of your discussion on this but HIMYM's ending was poorly done. I don't give a shit who Ted ends up with (although Robin is pretty annoying and they basically wrote/cast the mother to be the most endearing human ever), the problem is the execution. They A) spent the entire last season on Barney & Robin's wedding, which was already proven to be a terrible idea when it resulted in a final season stretched out with terrible storylines and meaningless flashbacks, only to make the season seem even worse and more needless in retrospect when the couple breaks up 15 minutes into the finale, B) (and this is the major one) COMPLETELY triviliazed the mother's role in Ted's life. Everyone had already guessed she would be dead/sick but they spent like a single line of dialogue and a 1 minute scene on the titular mother dying, then leapt immediately into "lol dad, this is just about you wanting to fuck that hot chick who always comes to dinner".

The ending came off like a complete misreading of the show and audience for the sake of a last-second twist. I don't think any audience member, whether they were okay with the ending or not, agreed with the kids when they told Ted "yeah, obviously this was all about you and Robin"--no one thought that or bought that, unless they were the kind of TV viewer who would have nodded along if the kids said "clearly this was about you wanting to put your dick in Jason Segel". Having him end up with the mother, having her die and this end up being a bittersweet story, whatever--none of that would been pandering, it just wouldn't have been shitting all over your characters, story, and audience. They made no kind of "Life goes on" or "true love could be right in front of you" or "there's always another chance at happiness" lasting statement to leave the audience with--they just tacked on a twist ending they wrote ten years ago.

They mishandled that shit so bad that I just wrote two huge paragaphs about HIMYM and I've NEVER felt an emotion or given a shit toward that show.

Starting over Animal Crossing New Leaf with a new copy of the game since I gave my old one to my daughter. Getting all those bells is going to be such a damn chore.
