FAQ's:

  • Amazon & Gamestop do not have a pre-authorization charge.
  • Bethesda Store and any of the Treehouse Brand Stores do not have a pre-authorization charge either.
  • Best Buy, NISA Store, Square-Enix Store all have a pre-authorization that goes away after 3-4 days or so, 7-10 days max.
  • All pre-orders with Paypal, you pay the full amount when the order is placed NOT when it is shipped.  This goes for every retailer that takes Paypal as a form of payment
  • Be cautious when going for free shipping from any Exclusive Store since they all use Digital River.  Say you order 2 CE's from S/E Store and they have different release dates, DR will wait till the last item comes out to ship yours.  Meaning (since Digital River sucks donkey balls), they could end up selling your pre-order on the first item to release and you could be SOL.  Also be careful ordering something to get your free shipping threshold as well because if the item goes OOS, then you have to wait for it to come back in stock.  This happened to many CAGs ordering the Lightning Returns CE from the S/E store because they ordered key chains that went OOS.
  • ^TL;DR Version:  If something goes out of stock or is not out yet, it will delay your order.

I heard its still doing shitty. Probably why its getting the major push back. Its probably better off anyway. Who knows, maybe they'll cut off the monthly payments or give us all 6 months free, lol.
 
They also announced that if you buy the PC version by the end of June, you'll be able to import your character to Xbox One or PS4 for $20 without having to buy a copy for your console. Better than nothing if you're desperate to start playing the game this summer.

Yeah I just read that the servers are all separate. Of course Xbone would be separate from everything else because that's a matter of Microsoft's policy, but it's weird that they'd also separate PC and PS4 when they don't have to.

the pc standard version barely been out a month and already $39.99 at best buy, amazon, and gamestop a $20 drop and with gcu $31.99 at best buy so even the price of pc version is dropping fast

if it even make it to launch you mean. If there that many problems with the game already even problems with the pc version when pc is usually supposed to be superior version then a 6 month delay on the console versions could hamper things.

same here I honestly think every one bought out the preorders for the collector set for the fact that the other elder scroll games collectors are worth alot. But people need to keep in mind also that the other elder scrolls game were amazing and didn't have extra fees like this one which I foresee keeping the prices of even the collector sets low value once they release.

I can't disagree with you there. I loved some of the previous games and had high hopes for this one. But with a $15 a month price tag and tons of issues, they either need to drop the subscription, or lower the game cost.
 
This shit is driving me nuts. 

Does anyone know what or where I can get a 1-800 number for the Square Enix store to update/change my billing info? Their contact page keeps redirecting me to their stupid messaging system, which they don't respond to. Plus, each time they ask me to log in, my account gets suspended for suspicious activity. 

I have never seen such fucking incompetence in a retailer than I have in Digital River (not just the SE store, but all of their stores). It's like their main business strategy is to see how much they can fuck up. 

 
Yeah, I definitely want the Collectors stuff from ESO, and that free month would have let me know if I wanted to keep paying or not, I've played a lot of "Meh" MMOs and can enjoy them so I probably will like this one, and June was a perfect time, now as has been brought up it will be coming out with just a REAL lot of good games...

Wonder if the games gonna be overrun by high level people right away due to the transfer thing.

My advice would be to contact digital river. Whenever I needed to cancel an order or change part of my order I contacted digital river which is associated with the Square Enix Store. The number I've used twice now is 1 (800) 598-7450.

 
Hey Vendetta_x360, since the other thread for non NA CE is dead and if it not too much trouble, can you includes major CE from other regions? The only CE news I get is from this thread and sometime I missed out on better editions if it not posted here. Still waiting for the ToX2 Day 1 from Amazon UK shippable to the US.

YMMV. Target (in-store only) has Tales of Xillia Limited Edition for $19.99. Make sure to price scan it and it will show up $19.99.

 
Yeah, a mix of other reigons LE's (and the like) would be nice, but it would be a chore to do, but not a problem for Vendetta, lol. :3

That is pretty funny doing a one city exclusive. Perfect way to piss people off.

I got all excited. Then the Nintendo World exclusive part pissed me off lol. This is one of my most hyped games for 2014, and I need a new game to play on the Wii U. Nintendo needs to stop playing already lol.

Nintendo want money so more then likely gamestop or another retailer will carry it to soon. Wouldn't make sense for nintendo to limit a money maker to one area like that.

Similar thoughts on my part here, but I'm going to hold off a week or so and see if GS ends up carrying these as well - last time with the Zelda:WW LE they announced it in the same way and a week later GS announced them - so we'll see. Don't go booking that hotel room just yet ;)

Not likely. Europe and Canada (FS) almost always receive the Nintendo steelbooks. And it looks like even less chance for the future as the company that produces Steelbooks has reportedly stated they no longer will be producing DVD (G1) size Steelbooks in North America (only Europe). That is, unless Nintendo decides to use the Blue-ray size ones (G2).

You can always order it on amazon.de or something though! :)

 
About how soon before a game is released do Square Enix do their unboxing videos for their CEs? I wanna know what that Drakengard novella is like.
 
If that Mario Kart one does come over to NA, and it is Gamestop only outside of the Nintendo store, will they raise the MSRP by $5 again like they did with Zelda? :p

I'll stick with my GCU at BB with the standard edition over paying a higher price for that shell. It would be cool to pick up if it shows up at BB though!
