Damn. I think this Groom guy from the Outlast DLC might be more fucked up that anyone else in the whole game. Also, straight up dick and balls shot of the player character.

 
Game exclusivity I don't mind. In fact, I welcome it. But the app situation is a tad annoying. What I wouldn't do for ESPN right now. Microsoft must be paying a shit ton for that (among others).

I haven't used my 1000 for a couple of weeks. So far I've just tested the 2000 on two games, Jak2 and Muramasa Rebirth, and both look really good. The UI stuff looks great as well. I suspect this is one of those things that you won't notice unless you're very specifically looking for it, especially if you don't have both side-by-side.

For the NFL draft? Just go to their website. Out of the top 10 articles, 7 are about the draft. The top story is how. Johnny Manziel was the 22nd pick. Meanwhile there are playoff games in two sports, but ESPN only gives a fuck about football and whether or not Donald Sterling is a racist.

And tomorrow the top article will be about what Lebron James thinks about the draft's first day and how he thinks he would be the greatest football player of all time.

Article two of the day is Lebron James commenting on Lebron James' claims that he would be the greatest football player of all time.

I wasn't purposely ignoring it, I wasn't aware GT did those sorts of numbers (though as was pointed out it's also been around a generation longer). Even still, it sounds as if the love of the series is beginning to die down (going off supposed sales numbers of 6), so I'll be curious if it continues to do as well for Sony if/when GT7 comes out.

Hey guys, you know who sucks? Ubisoft for making the plat trophy for Rayman Legends take FOREEEEEVER to get. I've been playing the Daily Challenges for nearly two months now and if I continue to consistently get Gold trophies, I'll be at this for another...oh, six weeks.

You just know this calls for a wallbombheadache: :wall: :bomb: :headache:

It's been on PC for a lot longer and is coming to Android soon. It sounds nerdy but actually does a fantastic job of making one an extremely niche genre super accessible. I've never gotten into a CCG before and I absolutely love it, and I'd strongly recommend trying it before you decide it's hipster garbage.

It's pretty nerdy but it's way less nerdy than you would expect from a CCG. It's like WoW where they took Everquest, made it even more accessible to normals and made billions off it.

GT5 sold more than Halo Reach, Halo 4, and Halo ODST. Halo 3 is the only Halo game that's broken the 10 million barrier from what I can see.

GT7 is rumored to just be an upgraded version of GT6 that can be turned around fairly quickly.

 
made out pretty well on some trades at gamestop tonight, and basically went against everything i said by paying off my borderlands vita preorder. a friend of mine got the slim vita while i was there, and i had him fire it up for me. i was able to tell the difference in the screen almost instantly. i even told him the differences before i even turned mine on to show him. i like some of the stuff the new vita has to offer, but after playing my original for so long, i don't know if i move on to the slim. i didn't see any games in action though, maybe it's less noticeable with more stuff going on the screen.

All i want is a vita made specifically for home use... a proper l2/r2 for remote play and an hdmi out.   A guy can dream.

In the meantime.... Demon Gaze is really shaping up to be a solid dungeon crawler.  Very much enjoying it.

One of the coolest 'new ideas' is that every dungeon level has a bunch (5-10, ish) 'demon portals' in addition to your standard random and set encounters.    You can place several gems on each portal to summon fights.   The cool thing is, the gems are 'lewt guaranteerers'.    For example, you can put a 'sword gem', a 'hat gem', and a 'katana gem' on the portal to force 3 lewt drops of specific types.    'nameless' gems are infinite at the store (and cheap), and provide a random drop (but a slightly higher chance of something you've never seen before, which is nice).     other (rarer) gems can be used for an increase the rarity of an item or quantity.    So you could do sword/rare/+2 to get 3 rare swords  (basically, get something that doesn't normally drop in that dungeon).

It's a fantastic idea, i hope more games take the idea and evolve it further. 

Tough battles are properly strategic, and auto-options allow you to easily speed through dungeons too easy for you if you find the need to go back to one.

All in all, if the fan service junk doesn't bother you, it's definitely worth a buy if you like dungeon crawlers imo.

Done with Escape Plan.  I'm glad I played through it once, but I don't think I'll ever need to touch it again.  Maybe if the rest of the DLC goes super cheap I'll give those a quick runthrough. 

Only major gripe with the game is that load screens take too long.  Had over 100 deaths between the two characters and those few seconds it takes to reload the level really add up.

 
Daylight has to be one of the shittiest games I've played in a while. The game runs like crap and all you do is run with glowsticks and read documents and then u get stuck because all the rooms are randomly generated and its not even one bit scary. dont waste your money on this one.

Ain't seen any of those on sale since they were 25 cents. Been waiting on em. Wish I picked em up before I even had the game.

I think the Asylum was the only one that was 25 cents. I bought it then even though I didn't have a Vita yet because it was unregrettable for a quarter.

Fixed that for you.

I don't want to rant and rave too much about this since I know many people disagree with me, but the OLED was a real negative for the 1000. Vertical bands and mura (dim black streaks and spots) are visible on every 1000 display I've ever seen or used, especially on low brightness. Colors also shift in tone as you adjust the brightness. The 2000's LCD doesn't band or have mura. That's such a big step forward that you'll probably find it passable even it you absolutely adore the "pop" of the OLED.

The rest of the specs are break even. The 2000 LCD's blacks aren't nearly as deep as the OLED, but it's whites are clean and crisp (contrast with the OLED's impure whites that had green/blue tint). The color's don't pop in the same way, but they're more accurate. That's a plus for softer games and streaming video, but its a negative for bright games like Guacamelee!

You won't be disappointed with the Slim. Even if you're less than impressed with the LCD (although I think you'd really like it in actual use), it's not going to be such a huge downgrade that you regret the purchase after you factor in the better buttons, improved size/weight, longer battery life, etc.

 
I'm probably going to use my Vita 1000 for the entire Vita run unless something comes out that can change my min d. Already did that with the PSP. :lol:.

No, like I said a vita with l2/r2. I don't always have access to my tv, so I'd want a proper vita with l2/r2 as well. Like i said, a guy can dream. The hdmi port is just a 'might as well add that on while we're at it' sort of thing.

I'll be first in line for a vita tv with NA support for the ability to put my ps4 on multiple tvs around the house, but i have a vita for the actual vita games.

At this point, I think i prefer playing on a handheld. I never got into my psp, my 3ds, or any other previous handheld i've had access to. But the vita? As soon as i held it, it took over most of my gaming time. I still enjoy playing my ps4 on the tv, I just don't always have time or tv access for that.

Original EQ was the best gaming experience of my life. Exploring that world for the first time, nothing like it since. It was phenomenal up through Velious expansion, Luclin was a mixed bag but definitely had its merits, and everything after jumped the shark. Though I did enjoy a bit of Ykesha.

EQ2 was balls.

Yeah, I know, but it's not the same. The app is a suite of all their TV channels, so it'd be nice to have it... on my TV. I hope ESPN doesn't renew the contract as it's pretty lame to exlcude such a large number of customers.

So Child of Light is very boring so far. I've only played an hour, but holy shit if it doesn't pick up a lot it might be one of my biggest disappointments in a while.

God, yes. I've kept quiet about it since I'm always the one to be super critical, but I've literally fallen asleep on the game twice.
