Tranisistor isnt a sRPG, its fast paced and lots of action. You can pause the action and plan what attacks your gonna do and then you watch the character pull off the combos real fast and then you gotta wait till it recharges so you just run around and hack and slash or shoot guys.

You can't do any attacks while the action bar is recharging. It's still a SRPG, as you have to plan out your moves to take down a group of enemies spread out over an area. You're just not confined to slow, grid-based movement and limited attack options. It's in the realm of Valkyria Chronicles in terms of pushing the genre forward and changing up how a SRPG has to play.

WTF! I was trying to get Unit 13 before it expired (I'm sure I already did this, but it was showing that I didn't and not in my download list), and it kept giving me a message telling me that I wasn't eligible to purchase or download it. PSN is such a mess.

Usually it means you already bought it. So, if you can't find it in your download list between now and whenever it went live on PS+, then check your transaction history. If you find the one for when you purchased it and you still can't find it on your download list, then contact Sony about it.

I got to level 50 of Velocity Ultra at lunch but had to stop before playing it. Trying to decide if I should attempt the platinum or not.

I'm through level 32, perfecting every mission before I move on, and it hasn't been bad so far. Does the difficulty ramp up in the last levels? I know level 50 is notoriously hard.

I dunno, I think 48 or 49 was harder for me.

As for the difficulty, it gets a bit harder, mostly in how you'll have to backtrack more often with the teleports.

I have several friends that are somewhat casual gamers (only game once a week, etc.) that are perfectly happy with the Xbox 360 they have (they do not have PS3). They aren't really looking to upgrade anytime soon even though they can afford it. They'll do it when something really compelling comes out only on next gen. And they will probably get an Xbox One simply because that's the brand they know and they have Xbox Live friends.

My guess is that PS3 owners did want to upgrade more quickly than Xbox 360 owners. Not because they were unhappy with the PS3 but because PS3 owners may be a little more hard core (obviously this is purely a subjective thought). I'm sure a lot of 360 owners jumped to PS4 for reasons you mentioned, but there are simply a lot of 360 owners out there who just don't care that much about next gen (now current gen) since they can still get their Madden and COD on something they already own.

You can chalk those Medhi quotes as spin. Yeah it's insulting, but you have to remember that PR isn't just about convincing customers to buy your product, but about calming down flighty investors/stockholders.

Microsoft really does have a bad habit of dishonest PR lately though.

I hope Atlus plans on putting Digital Devil Saga 2 on PSN some time soon, or some people are gonna get a bit upset after the ending of the first game.

I would bet on it appearing within a few weeks. I'm sure it's already ready to become available and that they are just staggering the releases to not overwhelm people. Nocturne itself only just went up a week or two ago, and when it was being teased there were a lot of hints that there would actually be multiple titles. Since they chose to stagger these two, I think it's reasonable to believe they are doing it with DDS2 as well.

They're currently at $550k with three days left to get to $775k, which seems a lot more doable than it looked a few days ago.

Yusuf is really pretty terrible. Like Wool said it might just be that terrible spin that MS has been know for recently. But even a lot of Xbox fans don't really like Yusuf. Xbox has started backing away from it's super cocky attitude but Yusuf still says a lot of stupid shit like this.

Guys, I already admitted that my inability to platinum Velocity Ultra was due to my fat thumbs not being able to get control over the Vita's shitty analog stick. If the game was in PS3, I would have gone for the platinum. At this point I don't care, I deleted it a long time ago. I did start playing Spelunky again today though because of this new guy talking about it all the time.

Speaking of the new guy, I expected him to be a dud, but he's impressing me so far. I say we take an official thread vote to let him stick around. I'm starting to miss Jay less every day.
