And I still have to play through MGS3, 4, Peace Walker, and Ground Zeroes before TPP, so they can take all the time they need...
I recommend playing them in the exact order you mention. The control scheme change between 3 and 4 is jarring. I'll probably replay the entire before it releases, as I did for 4 and PW.

Luftrausers control scheme does take a little getting use to, but not that long and once it clicks it clicks. The controls work really well once you adjust. It's a really fun game, but obviously Tyler was going to hate it because I think it's fun.

Now Nuclear Throne is on a whole different level. That game is going to be so awesome to have on Vita! Thus, Tyler should avoid like the plague.

The white PS4 looks absolutely gorgeous, but I just can't do it. The white Wii always stuck out in my entertainment center. There's no white One yet, and I bought the Deluxe Wii U. Just...can't. Want to, but can't.

This is it, guys--I've entered the final week of Daily Challenges for Rayman Legends. By my estimation, as long as I continue to get gold cups every day like usual, I should have the platinum by 8:15pm EST next Wednesday. :whee:

A Diamond Cup to speed things along sure would be nice, though...

Probably going to buy Entwined tonight. I have about $13 left in my fun account and the game looks like it will be simple, but enjoyable.

I ordered a 2nd PS4 controller from Kmart ($50 this week, plus discovered I had an unknown $4.xx in rewards points) and opted for store pickup. This was a big mistake. I picked the store across the street at work as the location, which clearly said they had stock, and then I get an email that they didn't have stock and they would ship one to the store for me to pick up. The store in the mail says it is in Arizona. I am in MD. But the order on the web definitely says the one across the street so hopefully this is an error in the email and they are not sending my controller to Arizona. But let's face, they are probably sending it to Arizona. LOL.

 Please let up be up, down be down, right be right.....
In Luftrausers it's rotate left, rotate right and thrust. There's gravity pulling you down. It's not that complicated, nor anything new in terms of control schemes, it's just a little odd in that it's a plane. That's the only thing you have to get use to. Give it another try.

Face it - you aren't going to like Nuclear Throne, though it is up/down/left/right. It's essentially twin-stick (well, except you aim with right, but actually shoot with trigger(s) - you are going to hate it).

Vlambeer are overrated indie developers. Their publicity bout about clones helped them more than their product's individual strength.

What did you guys think of DD Dark Arisen? Is it good enough for me to keep looking for a copy? I know it's long of course, which is kind of a turn off considering I'm trying to actually finish my PS3 backlog.

I think I might not buy anything else until I can make a nice dent in my PS3\360 backlog. I just fear it might be awhile.

Castlevania Lords Of Shadow: Play or Sell?

As expected, Resogun is freaking AWESOME. I'm a little ashamed to admit it took me nearly 10 tries to beat the final level on Experienced. I'm still going to try for the plat.

DeadPool is surprisingly fun and I really like the humor so far.
Hey man you should add me on PSN! I want to try for the plat at some time over the next week, and the 1cc trophy is recommended to do co-op. If anyone wants to do Resogun coop add me!

What a load of horse shit. I'm not saying Luftrausers is the best game ever, but it is a lot of fun. Nuclear Throne is a better game than Luftrausers, but Luftrausers is still very good.

As Backlog_Overload said, definitely play it.

Sure, I'll add you this evening (if you don't mind, could you send a friend request in case I forget to send one myself?). I want to beat the game one more time with Nemesis so I can get a feel for it, but after that, I'm up for co-op. FYI, I would only be available in the early evening hours during the week (6-8pm EST).

I should be around tomorrow night from 7-8 est if we want to give it a shot? Also next week Thursday through Sunday I have the house to myself and will be doing a ton of gaming. It shouldn't take to long...

Did you even have them on your radar before that? I recall them for Ridiculous Fishing. Then every website started publishing their stance against clones, which gave them exposure (the only indie getting cloned? OMG THE HORROR). Then one of them got their backpack stolen and that was newsworthy too. I'm just pointing out that they've received a major share of publicity, which does help.

I knew of them from Super Crate Box which is pretty fun. I don't think SCB is as good as Luftrausers, just as Luftrausers is not as good as Nuclear Throne. Each game is better than the one before. At least so far. Sure, publicity is good for business. That doesn't discount the games in any way.

I'll update you once I know for sure, but I might be running errands tomorrow night at that time. Next week would probably work out better.

Y'all know you can thrust in Luftrausers with R1 right? Because you can thrust in Luftrausers with R1 without pushing up on the d-dap/stick. That knowledge nugget greatly increased my enjoyment and handling of the control scheme when I discovered it by accident.

I'm playing Season 2 of The Walking Dead on the Vita. I have to say although it's good I'm just not feeling it as much as Season 1.

Most of the characters up until this point (halfway through episode 3) are just downright annoying and whinny. It's as if no one has a backbone except for maybe Kenny and Clem. The Carver character is also annoying as hell. He's not even likeable as a villain...I'm not sure why anyone would really follow him. He's no govna that's for sure.

Hope this picks up.

It sounds like Cuphead is at least a timed exclusive for Xbox One and PC. From a comment in a dev blog post:

"Hey hey! We are launching first on Xbox One and PC/Steam. We will pursue other avenues in the future."

So it may come to PS4 (Vita?) in the future, but not at launch. Oh well.

I did not know that. I will have to give that scheme a try.

This season of The Walking Dead isn't focusing on the big picture of things, which was the reason Lee was sacrificed at the end of Season 1. They pushed the story of the group, of what it takes to survive to the fore by doing this, especially with giving the choice of killing Lee or not to Clementine.

Season 2 meanwhile, is about the growth of Clementine in this harsh world. The most direct contrast being Clementine and Carlos' daughter, Sarah. One refuses to grow up and face reality. The other knows what the reality of their situation is and faces it. Clementine has grown into a character so more nuanced and complex than Lee ever was (and for me, that is the biggest triumph). Granted, the group dynamic was enjoyable, but watching Clementine grow in a real way is what has made this Season 2 superior to first. They have an enormous task in their hands if they are to surpass Episode 3.

I'm glad they added Carver. He's such a duck that it's easy to root against him. And I think everyone is following because they're afraid he'll beat the snot out of them. Episode three was my fav so far of season 2, even though it has the least amount of zombies and the least consequential choice options. The story was that good in it. And fucking Reggie. That dude was awesome.

I get that part of it but Clementine is the strongest character by far. My problem is not with her and how she's growing. That part is great. It's just everyone around her is a mammbie pambie bitch. It's like if you knew all this time Carver was out to get you wouldn't you make at least a little bit of a preparation for his arrival?, granted when he came the group was in the midst of a walker fight but it really felt like a plot device to get this group into trouble. I honestly have a hard time believing that this group somehow lasted longer than the original group with Lee and Kenny. They are all weak. Maybe that's to exploit Clementine's strength or growth but from moment to moment I'm annoyed every time someone opens their mouth. The supporting characters just aren't likeable in any way. At least in Season 1 the 2 women, the father, and the geeky guy heck all of the characters had more conviction and each character was more believable in their respective roles.

Everything about this comment is bizarre. Not that the 3ds isn't wonderful, but it's a bit unusual for people to play a vita and then think better of their 3ds. And I don't think I've ever heard someone call the vita browser 'really nice', I feel like I'm paying it a compliment by calling it 'functional'.
I have had my Vita 7 months. Picked up a 2DS last month (granted not a 3DS or 3DS XL). No question in my mind the Vita is a much better system overall. I haven't really played much on the 2DS yet but will. But remote play on the Vita is really cool.

I'll be the dissenting voice and say sell. The game felt overly long and bloated to me. It's also just one 20 hour corridor with only the most minimal of side areas to explore. The combat isn't as good as in God of War. I couldn't wait for it to be over so I could move on to something else.

It's a completely serviceable game. But you aren't missing anything by skipping it.

I think people just overlook it and don't even give it a chance. With all the features it is a great system, and there are quite a lot of games people don't even know about. If you really want to see what the Vita can do, pick up Tearaway, best use of front and back touch, and overall very enjoyable game that had me smiling so many different times.

I picked that up for $20 when Game Stop had it's sale. Played it through and loved it. Didn't try to platinum it. Sold it to a co worker for $10 and he got the platinum.

I'll have to try this. The game is fun, I just think about how much more fun I'd be having if their was an additional control-scheme option.

Good ol' money-hatting MS. I know PS4 does this too (I think No Man's Sky is first on PS4) but MS seems to do it much much more frequently with indies.

Seconded. Just play God of War for a tighter, more entertaining project (Edit: I mean "game".. that's why I get for posting while on a conference call). I'd even recommend Dante's Inferno over it, but that's just me.

I've had my 3DSXL about a month, the Vita about two weeks. My opinion about them mirrors when I originally had a PSP-1000 and the first DS: Sony has the better tech, it's cooler, is better to use (physically). However if I didn't have the Sony I wouldn't feel like I was missing out on much. Nintendo has the better selection of games, and games that really aren't available otherwise.

FWIW though, I sold the DS not too very long after I got it and have had my PSP to this day. When I get my PS4 and use RP, I reserve the right to change my opinion.

Resogun is not that hard to 1cc by yourself if you can't find anyone else.  Obviously it will be easier in co-op, but you can use the PS Trophies guide to tell you which humans give you extra lives and extra bombs and make sure you're leveling up your weapon and it's not that tough at all.  I did it with 2 lives left.

Worth every penny! I bought it digitally and want to platinum, just need to find the time.

The 3DS is a tonka toy compared to the Vita.

I don't disagree that Lufrausers could use remapable controls, but the basic control scheme is necessary to the experience. Gravity is a big part of it. You've got to fight gravity. Without rotate/thrust controls it would not feel the same AT ALL. Of course Tyler will now say that that would be good. Tyler is a hater, confirmed.

I really don't think so anymore. I don't even know what everyone is playing on their 3DS systems. I have one and it's in my closet because there isn't much I want to play on it. What are all these amazing games? A lot of RPGs like Bravely Default? My favorite 2 games are still Super Mario 3D Land and RE: Revelations which came out a long time ago already. I have to play Zelda but that's about it.

The other thing is I really wish Nintendo would make a 3DS XL more similar to the DS Lite. That was a sleek system at it's time. The last rant....Nintendo needs to have a god damn better resolution and better screen. I'm tired of the postage stamp bullshit. It's 2014 Nintendo!

That's what I thought for a while, then all of a sudden things started clicking for me.

Have you beat the game with all 3 ships yet? Replaying the game 3 times seemed to be what really made me more comfortable for my Veteran and 1CC runs.
After reading that the Nemesis is better for a lot of the harder trophies, I'm eager to do a playthrough with it since my Ferox playthrough was pretty taxing.

...I also didn't know boosts can kill enemies until the final level, when I looked at the trophies out of curiosity and saw the ones that involved using boosts to do so.

Pokeymon. It's like crack. The new 3DS Pokemons were probably single-handedly responsible for more 3DS sales than the total amount of Vita sales there have been since it launched.
