Yeah, Eccleston was pretty intense and (after a couple of episodes to get used to the show) really interesting to watch. I need to watch more of Tennant, but I'm only about 5-6 episodes into his run and so far I don't like him near as much.

 
I found out half way through yesterday that I had apparently requested today off work for some reason. Now I have the day off and nothing to do, which means GTA V Online for me all day suckas.
 
I finished inFamous Second Son.

It's a good, 7/10 game. Enjoyable gameplay, excellent presentation, but a whole lotta flimsy material around that.
 
Finally got the tombstone and wolf trophy for beating bf4 on hard. This is important because the first time I beat it on hard I only got the easy trophy, lol. I went to restart it 3 days ago and all campaign data was erased. I beat it in 2 days and then tried to play it again last night after I played some mp, and all campaign data erased again. This game is still so buggy glitchy.

Happened to me too. I learned that you have to do SP all at once, playing MP for some reason deletes your SP progress and they haven't fixed it yet.
 
That's crazy how they can't fix a single player bug that deletes all your progress after the game has been out 6 months (at least), but they have tons of dlc expansions planned. EA making that money on broken products. Priorities.

That said, the single player experience was crap and this is an mp focused game, but still.

I like the Vita's scheme.   And the REASON for all those locks was because the PSP was hack/pirated like a MoFo.  I certainly made sure I could play my ROMS and all while I was deployed.  Pack it up and play your collection halfway around the world.

3DS has a screen that is cringe worthy.  And lately, with them adding those "demo" games automatically.  It clutters my screen.  I was like "Oh hell no" trying to delete it off my screen.  Right now, all the random crap is in a folder as far from the starting area as possible.  All my Ambassador stuff in one folder and all the other items (not many) in another folder.  I don't use the AR as I think they're dumb after the first time or two.  I do play the Mii games and get some serious time in on those ones I bought for $15-20 a while back.  Those games are pretty fun and have kept my attention longer than I thought they would.

Near is ok.  I think one of ya'll are near me because it picks you up on Near every once in a while.  I don't play most of the games the gifts are for.  My Vita screen is main games on one screen, PS+ games in 2 folders, and purchased games in another 2.  The games on the screen are the active games.  Once I don't play them, they get shelved into a folder.  And with the 64Gb card I haven't needed to delete squat.  I don't use it for media though.  I have a computer, consoles, and TV for that.  And I've never used the 3G.. ever.   What it needs is a Skyrim.  Something I can get lost into.  I know you guys stand by these indie games but I don't like 9/10s of them and wouldn't waste my money.  If I want a crap game, I'll get a .99 game from iTunes.  I expect more from my game dev's.

And I don't know about you guys but I'm very underwhelmed across the board about E3.  Amiibo's?  Where's Vita?  Where's Kinect?  Nothing really blew me away and most of it was stuff I could have told you about before they spent millions to show it to the world.  Nintendo directs suck.  I don't like them.

I'm always curious what near looks like for other people - I'll see local surges in popularity for a game where like 50 people are playing and that seems like a lot, but I don't live in a super populated area. I actually like the idea that you could potentially challenge someone to, say, sfxt vita knowing that they live about a mile away, but near was never quite there. And the gifting thing is strangely asinine.

I actually enjoyed gears of war 1/2 about as much as uncharted 1/2 (haven't really played the 3rd installation of either). the others never grabbed me, but I'm going to give bioshock another chance because bitchin aesthetics.

 
Tried Sly Cooper on Vita last night. Looks and plays great, but has really atrocious load times. Not sure why that would still be necessary. Even FFX HD loads MUCH faster.
 
As complete trilogies, all three games, focusing on SP experiences:

1. Bioshock

2. Uncharted

3. Mass Effect

4. Gears of War

Reasoning:

1. All three Bioshock games have awesome SP stories. Awesome worlds, good gameplay, just all around great games.

2. The same can be said for Uncharted, but the first and third entries are commonly seen as a dip in terms of what the second managed to achieve.

3. First is just eh, second is awesome, third is a clone of the second. Plus that ending...well we should all know the story behind that.

4. I loved loved loved the first two in my Xbox days. But the third was just...unnecessary.

 
In Splinter Cell, I finally got past the mission where
you're in the CIA office and can't kill anyone.
That made the mission annoying for me. Now I'm starting to have fun with it again, and I think I'll finish it.

1) Uncharted. The first is my favorite game of the last generation, the second is great, the third is balls. Pretty fun multiplayer as well.

2) Gears. The first is a classic and a prime example of creating atmosphere with fun gameplay. Great multiplayer. The second launched with shit multiplayer but a fun campaign with some weird story points. The third had great multiplayer, but the campaign wasn't as fun as the first two. Still, it was fun (and better than Uncharted 3)

3) BioShock. I'm liking the first so far. Didn't play 2, but Infinite is absolutely boring and so full of filler. I liked the ending, but it's riddled with nonsensical elements that Levine banked on the player not thinking of. 20 minutes of entertaining ending scenes doesn't make up for so much slogging through pretty but empty areas.

4) Mass Effect. Only played the first. Or at least, I tried to. Cyanide seems more fun.
 
I don't get the talk of Uncharted 1 being inferior (especially to 3). I loved the first, yes 2 was more of a "blockbuster", but 1 was great as well. I have not been able to get into 3 as much as either.

 
I don't mind being an exception for Uncharted Drake's Fortune. I adore the game inside and out.

I just like to pretend Uncharted 3 doesn't exist. Just poorly thought out on so many degrees.

I don't know when this happened, but I was just looking at the store and they have the 5 DLC bundle for Uncharted 3 for $1.49. I got the map packs back when they were free so this is still a really good deal to get the two co-op packs.

To anyone reading, Tyler is wrong about this game. It's arcade heaven -- sure, nobody is guaranteed to like anything/everything, but if you dig arcade games you'll likely dig this. Controls are spot on, assuming you don't have two left hands or something. (speaking as a contender for world high score - almost there, but i've been spending more time chasing challenges than score so far).

It really makes me sad seeing someone so vocally dissuading others from supporting gems like this. $5 is a steal. Support these devs, they deserve it, and the game is excellent. I'd burn more than $5 in the arcade on it in one session back in the day.

I cant believe I am going to say this, but you convinced me to buy Luftrausers. Ever since you professed your love for dual stick shooters I have been reading your posts with less disdain (and I dont even know what that means). I too love dual stick shooters. I even considered buying Novastrike for a littel bit.

I don't have the time or energy to even attempt stuff like this. I eventually get the games I want cheap enough without all the hassle. Doesn't seem worth it to me.

Hey, if I lived right near some kind of area that had a Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and Gamestop all within a mile or two of each other and right near my house, I'd do it. But if you have to drive more than 5 miles, and spend all day doing stuff like this to maybe get $100 profit, you really need to reconsider what you're doing with your life.

And also, you should just get a job.

 
Have to admit, I did take advantage of that glitch. Got AC IV for $.41, COD Ghosts for $2.07 and Final Fantasy X/X-2 for PS3 for $11.65. The target is 5 minutes from my work and house, so it was easy.
