The only aspect of Mario Sunshine I don't like is the plot-related (cutscene) stuff, as practically every character looks like they're in some sort of drug-induced haze. The gameplay is up there with the best in the Mario series, though.

It's a great game, but it was frustrating in parts. I'm not that good at 3D platformers, though.

mario sunshine was excellent. wind waker was too, but I get why everyone was pissed by the giant fetch quest near the end.

I dare nintendo to port all of those gamecube games to ps4 with trophies and charge $150 msrp. we'll play a little game of chicken and see who blinks first.

oh man, I forgot they also had pacman vs, those star wars rogue squadron games, mgs twin snakes, DONKEY KONGA, and the best version of RE4.

The best version of RE4 should have been the HD version on PS3, but alas, no plat = failure. :-({|=

it really seems like you can't, but you can squish your way through the freezers from the open door to the other side. it takes a lot of moving around aimlessly in there to actually get started.

Yeah, but when people automatically dismiss it as a terrible game because of that, it bothers me. It was the first "Star Fox" game I had ever played so that part didn't bother me at all.

 
I played through Starfox Adventures. It was ok. Kind of obvious it was another game and then they slapped on the Starfox characters. I LOVED the Gamecube. Wish Nintendo would go back to that instead of what we get now. The regular controller sucked but the Wavebird was awesome.

Jeez, almost forgot I missed Dragon's Lair last time it was on sale. Already have Dragon's Lair II and Space Ace. Have them on so many platforms at this point it's silly but I don't care I still enjoy them. Plus trophies are hawt.

Thinking I'll bite of Luftrausers as well. Looks like it could be fun and it's for Vita so why not? Probably going to waste $1.75 on Real Boxing as well. Unless you guys think it'll drop lower still? Nearly bought it the other week when it was like $3. Maybe it'll drop to $1? Thoughts?

Lastly, Sports Champions 1 & 2 worth the fiver for both? I don't have Move but I intend to pick it up someday when I can get my hands on it for super cheap. If nothing else to play that LBP Move only game.

EDIT: Talking about Star Fox Adventures? Now that's off-topic! For what it's worth I thought it was an okay game. Not great or really even particularly good, but not abysmal by any means. The word mediocre was invented for games like this. Would have probably been just fine as a new-franchise game rather than painted Star Fox, but whatever.

No the wavebird had a little more heft to it making it easier to hold, I actually think it mostly resembles a 360 controller in a lot of ways except for the wacko button layout.

I think the point was that he said the wired controller "sucked" and the Wavebird was "awesome", when there really wasn't enough distinguishing the two to warrant saying that.

I played very few gamecube games but Sunshine was one of them and it was pretty damn fun.

My thoughts exactly. I will also unashamedly drop the difficulty to easy if a game is so hard I'm not having fun. Video games are for my enjoyment; I don't need them to turn into a chore.

If we are talking great cube games I could drop a few of my favorites:

Gotcha Force (completely disagreed with the terrible review scores-I beat it 5 times in a row in an attempt to collect up all the bots, so much fun it was stupid) If anyone else played this game I would love to hear about it. This one flew far under the radar.

I didn't think Kirby Air Ride was that great, though I did like it, but my kids adored it and we got a ton of mileage out of it as a result.

Now Kururin Paradise was a weird but very fun game, but you needed a Japanese gamecube, a mod or that software hack I'm forgetting the name of, in order to play it due to region locking. :( But we had a modded GC, mostly to play Japanese games. Unfortunately my mod stopped working several years back or I'd fire this game up tonight!

I haven't played smash bros. since the N64 days but based on the Conan Clueless Gamer "review" the stages have become exponentially more busy with each iteration as it is just nuts how much random crap occurs during the course of a match.

Sunshine and Wind Waker were both excellent but I wouldn't put either of them near the top of those series' all-time greats.

Sunshine was probably the hardest Mario game I've ever played though.

Star Fox Adventures was super bland and mediocre. One of my absolute worst full-price purchases.

Ironically, I bought it the same day I bought Animal Crossing for full price and Animal Crossing was probably my most played Gamecube game. It was so awesome, though I'm not sure I'd ever want to play another one and get sucked back in.

Assuming the controls are fine I'll probably beat it. Is it harder than Giana Sisters?

Or is it "hard" as in it has no checkpoints so you have to beat a 10 minute level over and over and over again just to lose to a ridiculous boss. Because I'm good at quitting those types of games which make me do the same crap over and over again.

Wind Waker is the best 3D Zelda game so far* (haven't played Skyward Sword yet so I have to asterisk this in case it managed to topple Wind Waker). The first Zelda is and will always be the best the franchise has ever seen.

Pretty sure Link to the Past is the best zelda game and might be the best game I have ever played.
