Wendy's is the best traditional fast food burgers in my area, but a whopper every now and then hits the spot for sure.  But regular burgers from 5 guys take the cake, and throw some vinegar on the fries!! mmmmmm.  Too bad it's like a day's worth of calories/fat.

Used to have a family-owned Hot Dog place down here in Utah county. The name of it was 'Kranky Franks'. Sadly, it went out of business because the owner had medical bills up the whazoo that he had to pay. The only other place is J-Dogs and their 'Special Sauce'. Which seems to be a mix of Honey and BBQ and other ingredients. Still makes me laugh that BYU sent someone from the University to get a sample of the sauce so they could capitalize on it. Didn't work out so well.

CostCo also has really great Hot Dog's. Still haven't tried the Polish but I did try the All-Beef again recently. I always take advantage of the condiments for them in Utah.

Best thing about their fries is the Red Robin Seasoning on them. I do not even want to bother dipping them in anything. Too bad that stuff is primarily salt. It is all the other flavors in it that make it so good.

I bought a bottle of their seasoning since it is so damn good.

You would be just as well off picking up some Tony's creole seasoning. Gotta be cheaper.

I don't do mayo, ketchup, mustard, any combination of those things. Can't stand vinegar, salad dressings, etc. I always get made fun of because I'm the one who does not care for any condiments.

I like BBQ sauce as long as it's on chicken, and grilled, and not too much. In most cases it isn't the taste that turns me off, but the wetness (heh...)

What the is going on here. Yea, I can't stand any of that crap either. Actually, I don't hate ketchup and mustard, but any good piece of meat or sandwich doesn't need any of that shit. The flavor of good meat shouldn't be drowned out with a bunch of cheap sauces.

I rarely eat burgers nowadays, but when I do, I like them with A1, pepper jack, and some pickle slices.

BTW I read somewhere a while ago that part of what makes Five Guys burgers so good is the MAYO. The Mayo is one of the highest fat content on the market. Its basically lard. Is that appetizing to anyone else besides my fat ass?

The reason I don't eat burgers is because I generally do the low carb thing. I'm not great at sticking to it, but I maintain my weight pretty easily. Some month or two I need to be strict for a bit and drop the extra ten pounds or so I want to lose.

The place I tend to cheat lately is a new gourmet hot dog and beer place like 2 minutes from my house. They opened earlier this year, don't get crowded yet, and have dogs on pretzel buns and ~30 draft beers. Plus they have decent growler prices (~$10) and serve half-pints (~$2.50-3.50) so I can hop from one beer to another easily. I love trying every beer.

I do love Red Robin though! The A1 burger is the bomb and I lather the burger with the Seasoning, same with the fries... and I have to have ranch with the fries. Not sure if other Red Robbins do this but Colorado ones always bring Ranch without even asking with every basket of fries.

Like the five guys fires (both types), don't like the thin straw fries of Freddy's that much, too much fry and not enough potato.

Five guys is my fav burger. But dont be a pussy and get the "little" like that pic. Get the regular burger next time son.

Blech, I don't like a really meaty burger, a thick patty is fine as long as it's a single but when it's a double it overwhelms everything else and just eventually becomes tedious to eat. I like it when when the burger consists of about 2/5ths meat, 2/5ths bun, and 1/5th extras like lettuce, tomato, onions, mushrooms, etc.

Used to enjoy going to Burger King periodically as I quite liked their fries, but they ripped out the soda machine and replaced it with that coca cola mufti-dispensing soda crap and now the Dr. Pepper that comes out of it tastes horrible. Which is sad, Burger King was one of the few fast food chains in town that you could get Dr. Pepper that didn't taste like flat, donkey ass sweat.
