  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

aghghh!!! should I buy an xbox one now or not! theres like nothing coming out for 5 months right? id play dead rising and my few free games and thats all the cool shit right i should wait right? I wanted to hold out for a hardware revision but just got a new job and want new videogames things!

backlog update: I was playing through rocket knight and quickly felt like I was just going through the motions and that this game was made for children. ive been trying to beat all my untouched games before moving on to xbone, but when I got stuck in the cyberswine labs and was on my last contiune i knew i would never have the patience to finish the game, so I had to delete it from my HD. if they suck and i KNOW i wont play them, theyre out. funny that i waited SO long for the game to go on sale, and it was a turd (opinion). at least i paid sale price. other games i recently deleted out of rage-deadlight, i am alive (savepoints!), swarm (difficulty ramp), clash of heroes(so fun but so hard for me).

I did finish mega man 10 (on easy), yay!

also was able to beat Charlie murder with the flood of new players, still would like to get the good ending if anyone has all the whatever bodyparts and wants to run through with me. 

finally played through brothers, yes as good as everyone says, short but a well made game.

so yeah, how are you guys, im not tired yet but hey tomorrow is a faux friday for most of the workforce so yay

Best part of Xbox One is thinking nothing is coming out for several months, then surprise! A bunch of games come out at the same time. I'd finish as much of your 360 backlog as possible before getting X1 because you may not want to go back. I went back to 360 to play GTA V with a friend and said "Xbox Record That" way too many times.

I was thinking about making more comparison videos that show how much faster X1 is. Thanks to Hulu Plus 3 month trial with XBL, I've been watching a lot of Hulu. From an off console it takes 5-10 minutes to start watching something on 360 vs. 10-30 seconds on X1.

 
So I've read in the op that you can dl xb1 games without owning an xbox 1? I take it you can just purchase games off the xbox site and then let them dl later once you are on an xb1?

I'm thinking of picking up a few xb1 arcade games but I don't own an xb1 yet. I will probably have one no later then the end of September though.

Am I safe to dl games for it now?

You should be fine considering all the GwG X1 games can be "purchased" on the site and once you do it'll list the date you purchased it on the game page.

I'm really looking forward to that. The UbiBlog teased some new features too. Online multiplayer and team based racing is coming. I'm happy they're adding a bunch of free stuff in addition to the season pass content. Booting it up regularly to play tournaments has gotten me back into the game.
