Finished off Sly 2 for the platinum. I'm looking forward to playing the third game at some point, though I'll probably focus more of my time on Jak 2.

My PS4 only cost me $47 after I redeemed my credit card points. Take that crunchchewy.
Mine was free after working for about 23 hours (net, not gross).

That's what we do. The only thing we can't pay with the card is the mortgage and we average about $3000 total spending, including the mortgage, each month. Maybe we're just more frugal, I don't know. Just seems like a lot of money.
That's seems high to me. I'm single but even with all my mortgage and utilities I only spend about $1500 per month. I'm sure a lot of it depends on where you live though. SLC is pretty cheap compared to a lot of big cities around the US.

surge deluxe or mutant mudds tonight? YOU make the call!!!
Mutant Mudds by 5 billion miles.

Uh, that's easy to do even when managing money well. We're at about $80 a month in credit card points from recurring payments. Utilities, childcare, gas, insurance premiums, mortgage. Why they take the last by CC with no fee I have no idea, but if they're willing to give me 1% back I'd be stupid not to take it. And groceries with an AMEX Blue that gives 6% back and isn't used for anything else.
You lucky bastard. I really don't think I can pay any utilities with my credit card. Maybe Comcast, I should check that out. I'm on a family plan with Sprint so I just give my mom money and she pays that bill. I know for a fact that I can't pay my mortgage, HOA, water, power, or gas without eating extra fees, which completely negates the point of paying with a CC in the first place. I also get about 5% off my car insurance if I use ACH withdrawal from my bank account so again it's a better deal than paying with my CC.

Still haven't found my SSN. I think I'll just go up and steal Tyler's, we both happen to live in Utah so that'll work right? Seriously, wish I could find that thing I need a fuck 'ing ID Card. Why can't the Government just take me on my word? "This is me!".
Tyler never said no to this. So I guess he's okay with me "borrowing" his SSN.

Tomb Raider felt really short to me. And comparing it to UC1 is bad. UC1 plays like an old school Tomb Raider and this new 2013 Tomb Raider is completely different from most of the others.

I couldn't stand UC1.

Yeah, this is what you should do. I guess too many people are like Affa. Digital hoarders? I have a 160GB and never see available space go under 20GB
I pick up games when they're on sale, plus ps+. It's hard not to be a digital hoarder with a vita.

I'm nowhere near as bad as people seem to be with Steam.

As for space -- it's easy to fill a 64gig card. I don't like shuffling. I like having pages for series like Final Fantasy, or genres like racing. Sure, I might not play a Final Fantasy game this year, but I still want them all on my vita (or, replace FF with Ratchet and Clank, or GTA psp games, or whatever).

Some people like having game cases on shelves; I don't. I digitized most of my entertainment (music, movies, etc) years ago. I'm the same way with music -- I'd rather have 50+gigs with all my music on my computer than have to juggle 5gigs.

I know some people are okay with just having enough space for the current game they're playing, but I want everything on it, now. I'd be perfectly happy if Vita had a Steam like feature where it showed bubbles for every game you owned, but had a faint X or whatever through any not currently downloaded.

For me it was UC1 and UC2 being my favorites, wasn't a huge fan of UC3. Uncharted 2 and Starhawk are the only two games on my PS3 that can keep me entertained in terms of multiplayer.

I constantly bitch when PS+ gives us PSP games, so since I just realized we haven't had a PSP game since March I should point out how cool that is. Keep it up PS+.  Cheap Vita game > full PSP game.

Good news for all the thread weirdos, this game is getting localized:
A screenshot I saw on Amazon looks like it consists of another simplistic mini-game. If you're going to have those, at least put some more input into them. I don't see the point in massaging/rubbing oil on a chick like in Argarest War 2. I expect too much from arbitrary fanservice. :whistle2:

UC 1 & UC 2 > UC: GA > UC 3.

NISA announced a few new games:

NIS America is happy to announce that we will be bringing The Awakened Fate Ultimatum to North America and Europe next year! The game will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

About the game:
Several years after a certain revolution came to pass, and the powerful Satanael was defeated, the devils were still dominant in their constant war against the angels. Meanwhile, a certain Celestia was resorting to guerilla warfare to survive. They focused on researching a way to create a "God" to use as their ultimate weapon against the devils. After creating the "Fate Awakening Crystal," which can turn a human into a God, the angels could only wait for the day they found someone who was compatible with it...

One day in the Human World, a boy is attacked by a group of devils on his way home from school. He is stabbed through the heart, but as he is dying, he gets saved by a mysterious girl, and wakes up in an unknown location—Celestia. As if guided by the Fate Awakening Crystal that is implanted in his chest, he finds himself thrust into the middle of a war between angels and devils. With his newly awakened powers, he must choose how best to use them, and ultimately, which of the two new girls in his life he will be able to save...
NIS America is excited to announce that the moody puzzle action game, htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary, will be available digitally this fall in both North America and Europe as a PlayStation Vita exclusive! In this atmospheric title, you’ll use the Vita’s touchscreen and rear touch pad to navigate a young girl through dangerous ruins. Two fairies – one operating in light, and the other in shadow – must work in tandem to uncover this girl’s memories and save her from the darkest of fates.

About the game:
In the depths of a labyrinthine ruin, a young girl named Mion rises from a deep sleep. Lost, alone, and with no memory of how she got here or where her parents are, she is greeted by two fireflies—one composed entirely of light, and another who lurks among the shadows. By shifting between a world of light and a world of shadows, these two fireflies must work together to recover Mion’s memories and lead her out of the ruins, where voracious shadow beasts, ancient machines, and treacherous traps lie in wait to bar her path. But what secrets do Mion’s lost memories contain? What is the connection between her, the ruins, and the fireflies lighting her escape? The answers may reveal a deeper darkness—one that must be faced from within...
NIS America is happy to announce that we will be bringing Criminal Girls: Invite Only to North America and Europe next year! The game takes the much adored 2010 Playstation Portable title Criminal Girls, which was released in Japan only, and revamps it with a host of brand new content exclusively for the Playstation Vita. Explore the depths of Hell as you lead a female gang of delinquents on their quest to absolve themselves of their sins and be reborn on Earth. But be careful, leading a crew of delinquents to battle and discovery isn’t as easy as it sounds. Wrestle with the girls’ conflicting battle plans, spend some one-on-one time keeping the girls motivated to be their better selves, and uncover their deepest, darkest secrets on the way to reforming them into not just upstanding citizens, but a cohesive, and effective battle group.

About the game:
Seven delinquents, seven sins, and only one way out. Just hired for a new, mysterious job, you soon discover that this isn’t your normal prison gig. You’ve been entrusted with the care of a crew of girls whose sins have damned their souls to Hell and an eternity of punishment... Their only hope of salvation is for you to recognize their unique histories, and to guide them along the path to redemption. Navigate through the four trials of the Redemption Program, and motivate your crew of delinquents to learn the skills to redeem themselves, or leave them to their fate.

Key points:
Mind Your Manners: These girls aren’t your typical RPG team – they have minds of their own! To defeat the convicts doing their time in Hell’s dungeons, you’ll need to listen to your team’s desires, and choose your path to victory from the ever-evolving repertoire of skills, spells, and combo attacks that they want to use.

Touching Gameplay: Connect with the girls, and uncover each of their unique personalities through one-on-one motivational sessions with a unique use of the front touchscreen and rear touchpad, and fulfill the girls’ special requests to discover more about their interesting, and often dark pasts.

Criminal Girls, Reborn: This Playstation Vita update will mark the first time a Criminal Girls game makes its way to the US, and with English text! The update also brings previously unplayable characters into the fray—Miu and Himekami—and includes brand new scenarios and levels to challenge your prison smarts. It also revamps the much lauded motivational gameplay with updated artwork, and brand new Live2D graphics and effects.

Notice: In order to bring this title to as many fans as possible in both North America and Europe,NIS America has edited certain aspects of this game.

You guys are scaring me from the rest of Uncharted. If one is the best than all I got to say is I shouldn't even bother. I couldn't stand part one. So dull and boring. And it felt so old when I played it in early 2009 I can only imagine what it feels like now.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss was also actually pretty good. It wasn't even made by Naughty Dog. My only complaint would have to be the puzzle piece mini games, and having to put back together a 4200 piece puzzle (exaggeration). Still ended up being a competent and playable game. Oh, almost forgot, didn't exactly like the "swipe arrow" touch mechanic either. I was expecting something more a long the lines of Fruit Ninja.

Uncharted Drake's Fortune is my favorite game of the last generation, and I love taking the flak for that.

Golden Abyss disappointed me as an Uncharted fan and more importantly a Sony Bend fan. They have great concepts and often execute, making some of the best handheld TPS games there. Golden Abyss just was too scared to use anything but pistols and had too many gimmicks.

Still played it twice.

People who say UC1 is better than UC3 are insane, don't listen to them. Compared to UC2 it is a letdown, but it's still miles ahead of UC1 which got super boring in certain parts. People are letting their disappointment with UC3 get the best of them.

I approve. I added Golden Abyss, though it didn't change your ranking at all.
I haven't played Golden Abyss yet, but that's not very encouraging.

Seeing as the last 15 pages plus have been about condiments this is probably as good of a place to ask as any. Does anyone know anything about gas grills? Bought my first one yesterday, put it together today and now I have a problem that may not be a problem but I have no idea and their CS is closed for the holiday weekend.

So I cracked open the vita since I don't think I'll be making it out to Target by the end of the week (and the chances of finding one even if I did are pretty shitty).

Tutorials have trophies now... fucking A.  It's about time I start getting something for going through that bullshit.

When I can use CQC/Hand-To-Hand for the majority of UC3 that leaves me disappointed a bit. Not to mention, all those freaking clones and clones of enemies. (Matrix Refrence) Yeah, I know that past titles haven't had great enemy variation but at least it wasn't Bald guy with sunglasses, sweater, vest, different shoes take your pick! Wasn't the biggest fan of the different faces for Elena and Chloe. Chloe, looked like she became more Asian when she wasn't before, and Elena had sparkly eyes for some reason.

I'll admit that the story wasn't horrible but it didn't feel like Uncharted to me when I don't really need to be using the guns but actual physical combat instead. Still enjoy the occasional UC2 multiplayer match from to time. I tried UC3's multiplayer but it felt like it was beginning to go the Call of Duty route....

I wouldn't compare UC1 to U3, but I would compare UC2 to UC3.

You should have tried UC3's co-op. Your hand-to-hand ass wouldn't have survived the first enemy on Crushing.

I rarely play through games a second time if it's only for a change in difficulty.
First off, it's weird to complain about a game's difficulty if it offers several difficulty levels and you're not playing the hard one. Secondly, co-op was not a change of difficulty. It was a whole other game, really, and IMO it was the best part of UC3. A lot of you guys missed out by skipping it.

Honestly, I had no idea that it had Co-Op. I did know that it had different difficulties, and I could have switched them up. Although I really don't feel like going back to play the game again. I didn't enjoy it as much as the others, so I don't exactly see myself playing it again, and this time just for a higher difficulty.

I've used a gas grill many times.

And do some of you really not know your SSN? I hope you were joking. Learned that shit before my name.
Somebody just emailed me from Africa and said if I provide my SSN and bank info they'll deposit money in my account. It's supposed to be a large amount and I'll buy Professor and Jay a PS4 if it goes through. Just remember Professor to save me a guest room in your castle if I ever visit Ireland.

I've done that a bunch of times. 60% of the time it works every time.

So...you don't work? You would get a W2 at the end of every year that has it.
Nope I don't work. I would if I could, but I don't know of any place down here in Utah that's currently hiring. Plus, I happen to have difficulties, so math isn't my strong suit. Except that my high reading comprehension and my knowledge in video games are. I could probably make it on YouTube but I'm not that interested in being an LP'er or a Twitcher. I really only need my SSN to get an ID card/bank account.

Pretty sure everyone in the US is hiring and unemployment rate is the lowest in 5+ years.

Not at my local Wal-Mart or GameStop. Transportation is also a reoccurring issue. My only options would be UTA or buses. Another personal tid-bit: No driving license since the teacher in High School who taught Driver's Ed wasn't my Favorite.

I could go and check out K-Mart. Since, I can get paid to gossip but not actually 'work'. McDonalds is also not hiring. My only option could be temp work.

Here's the thing though, you're targeting all the wrong types of places. These big places have stacks of applications on file and ready to go. As someone who used to work at GameStop, we would get 3-4 applications a day that we just couldn't do anything with. Even if we were hiring for holidays or something, we'd have hundreds of applications. If you're serious about it, you gotta hit up small, local places that aren't already in everyone else's sights. Restaurants have high turnover. Car washes, landscaping companies, any type of manual labor jobs are usually looking for people more often than not.
