You said it played like the old Tomb Raiders, which is ridiculous considering that all of the Uncharted games are pretty much the same in terms of how they play. Uncharted 2 and 3 are definitely better, but that doesn't make the original shit. If you don't like it, that's one thing, but I never saw the huge difference between the first two games that made one good and the other bad.

I'd love to see the nonsense about burgers, grills, and all this other stuff stop so that we can get back to just talking about games. The extreme off-topic stuff used to only last for a little bit before going back to games, but now it lasts for days and takes up way too much space in the thread. People here are a bit too eager to just increase post counts and dumb things like that, so they just post whatever thought pops into their head and it's kind of dragging down the thread now.

 
I played Uncharted 2 first, then when I found out they patched in trophies to uc1 i went and played that too. I enjoyed the 2nd more, but they were both really similar. That series always kinda jumps the shark towards the end of the game, but the new tr did that also.
Nazi zombies and sasquatch monsters and undead samurais.

UC1 and 2 were enjoyable. I was exhausted by the end of both though and haven't started 3 yet. They were pretty hard which was refreshing.
 
Finished up the plat on Lone Survivor last night. That was an enjoyable game. I like that the plat has you playing each playthrough in two completely different styles. I still don't really understand what happened in the game though.

is it all a dream? Is he just a patient in a mental hospital and these are his hallucinations? Did it all happen and only some is hallucinations? Endings didn't explain enough to me, or I was fried and didn't catch anything

Most importantly, the plat leapfrogged me above Laundry in the TrueTrophies leaderboard.
 
iv had gcu since they started it, and i was a skeptic at first, but it is nonstop awesome. I got in on that deal of 2 years for $30 or something crazy cheap tho cuz I had an existing sub right before it got canceled. but 20% off everything game related. 20% off skylanders toys, 20% off bf sales, 20% off preorders with $10 rz certs back. It is even better than the 20 back preorders they had before, and that was awesome. 20% off paid for itself already when I got cod ghosts hardened edition on sale and extra 20% off that. I would totally go for it if you can still get it on sale, I think they just had it on sale last week or so.

Yes. No. Not sure what it cost now, it was $30 for a long time, and has been on sale for $60 a lot since then.

Games Club has been worth it for years. I got in on the new version of it for $30 like Velo so definitely worth it for me. it goes on sale for $60 a lot so it might be worth it for you if you buy a lot of new games. I dont really but I buy enough at best buy and trade in enough (extra 10%) to make it worth the S30 I paid. When I get close to expiring ill probably go back to my history and see how much it saved me.
 
I echo the sentiments for BB GCU.  I've stopped shopping nearly everywhere else.  Amazon pricematches whereever.  BB pricematches Amazon.  Then they take another 20% off.  It's awesomeness.  And when I buy a 200 CE of something.. it's 20% off as well.

It's for both. I'm not even going to try and add everything up..but if I paid $120 for it, I'm still looking good. I tend to buy a lot of CE's and clearance stuff though. It's not cheaper than using that other forum.

 
Hm...I don't really buy a lot of new games though. Mostly when I do it's through other means. I'm mostly interested in it when I see threads where you can get sweet games like Putty Squad of practically free.

Oh and if we had a chat room, it would just be Snakey thinking we're all chicks and tying to pick all of us up.

The best part was when the old Gamers club overlapped with the new. Lots of glitches and free games. That's over now though.

How do people have cool employees in their retail stores? Every time I even try and price match at target or best buy the employee treats me like im robbing the place blind. I would never even dream of asking for a price match then an override for the 20% off. Theyd probably call the cops on me.
 
I don't exactly go into my BB and buy 8 copies of an item.  I walk in, grab one copy, if it's the blonde lady I know I'm in and don't even have to ask for the manager.  If it's not, the manager there types in their password (I can remember if there's a key involved) and I get my 20% on a pricematch.  I've only once had an issue but that was Christmas time so it was to be expected.

 
Yeah i was gonna say, the free games thing hasnt been crazy for awhile. I remember when it was insane with the online coupons 2-3 years ago. I felt like I was robbing the place when I would grab 3 copies of the same game, go up front, and walk out without even taking out my wallet. It was like the old penny strategy guides. Then drive across the street and flip at gs. Those were the best free credit days. I love earning trophies, but I never even put some of that free crap in my system like fairy tale fights, etc. And it was so awesome because in the threads here we would be like damn only 3 days left on this coupon, and then bam, like magic they would put the game on sale for 15 and the 15 coupon would work on the very last day. It was like they were trolling cag just to get rid of overstock.

I'm on your team. I can never make it through the first one, and I've tried a couple times. I really like the third one, and I actually liked GA, but I guess I'm in the minority on that.
 
I played UC1 earlier this year and while I think it is the weakest of the 3 (never played GA) its still pretty good and has aged much better than I expected it would.  I rank them all pretty close together though, I dont see why so many think UC2 is leagues above the others.  I just beat that last week and while it was great I didnt think it was more epic than UC1 or UC3, especially since Sully was hardly in the game and the Nate/Sully dialogue is my favorite parts.

 
So I've been unable to sign into Smart As World for the last week. Some people on PST.org are having the same issue. I had 79 stars at the end of last week, and I've done three challenges this week to get 8, 6, and 6. Once they reset tonight, I should get my 100th star. The only problem is, my stats still say 79 stars and aren't including the ones I've done this week. I swear if this game screwed up on me at this point I'm going to be pissed.
 
Sniper Elite 3 is pretty sweet. Its one or those games that kinda only does one thing that makes it special, but that one thing never gets old (I felt this way about throwing the glaive around in Dark Sector). When it gets a nice sale I definitely recommend it.

I like UC2 a lot more because there is much greater variety in the environments and it has more memorable set pieces such as the ice cave puzzle, the train, or Drake vs. the tank. UC1 is pretty much all jungle fighting which got monotonous by the end.

That's something that I like about the original since it feels like you're in a more fleshed out area than going on this globe trotting adventure to a bunch of places around the world just so that you have a bunch of different set pieces to put in the game.

The "regular" cost of $120 is almost a crazy amount of money, but if you get in on the $60 deal that's popped up a few times, it would definitely be worthwhile. You wouldn't be using it to its maximum potential unless you did trade-ins, but you could still get tons of value from it.

Case in point: The Order: 1886's CE for $47.99 with GCU, a whopping $32 savings (excluding tax) compared to preordering it at Gamestop or Amazon. The 20% savings on new games is easily the best part of GCU for me. :whee:
