Come on Velo. Your too old for that stuff. Let your kids go and take the torch from you. You gotta have one close to 18 by now right?

Lurked in the PSN thread for the deals and the banter. +1 sub because I'll never find my way back here without it.

Hey PSN OTT, settle an argument between me and the fiancé.

A buddy of mine is getting married next weekend up north in my state about 2.5 hours from me. I'm a groomsmen so we have to be there for the rehearsal Friday and then dinner Friday night is in the town where they live which is an hour away from the hotel we have reserved for the weekend.

I just found out that a buddy of mine who lives in the town of the wedding is actually home for the next month (he's been at school out west) so my thinking is that we stay with him the night of the wedding (his house is literally 2 minutes from the reception) and stay with my fiancé's family Friday night since there a 1/2 hour from the rehearsal dinner. Would save $300 from the hotel reservation and the hotel has pretty mixed reviews anyway. But of course, the fiancé thinks it's just easier to stay at the hotel for both nights.

Whose side you on CAGbros?

If the family and friend are offering then you should stay with them. It isn't easier to be an hour away and spend 300. They have to offer it to you thoug. Its vvveeerrry rude to ask. But this is how your married life will go so you better get used to it.

I'm always in favor of saving money, but sounds like the fiancée might be apprehensive about staying with the friend (especially if she doesn't know him). And if y'all are gonna be drinking and having late nights, she might not want to bring that to her family. Or maybe she has fancy hotel things planned. I've been in similar situations and ended up doing hotel just to keep peace of mind for everyone, but my family is weird and can get annoying. The $300 is a tough pill to swallow, but the points earned back could be worth more.

I don't really remember it, but I think it's just challenge rooms and costume unlocks.

Maybe not? I never played it, and I beat the game 100% on 360 just fine without the bonus weapons that you get from it. You could always read its plot online if you really wanted (I would hope).

Never played the dlc but u should pass (No trophies, haha)

The weapons do seem handy and apparently the DLC will make a few trophies easier. Plus if I buy a $10 card I will have exactly enough to buy the NIER DLC and Steamworld Dig.

Well looks like it's bowling then dinner for me and the family this evening for my wife's birthday. I wanted sushi but that may be out of the question with the little one tagging along.

I like how Velo tells his kids it's chores or help plat this game. Now I see how RPG feels like it's him vs Velos family. Velo needs to teach them to play the Souls games.

Well I hope everything goes good with your wife and this kid for the delivery. . Are you guys finally done with kids?

Do you guys think we can hit 1000 posts for this thread today? That's the goal for today.
at this rate, probably. this thread is probably the biggest club/cliche on cag right now. i have not seen a thread that moves as fast as this one outside of the deals forum.

I saw somebody trying to rein in the Steam Thread earlier today. *whistle whistle*

Also, I hope they port Transistor to Vita. Can't sing its praises enough.

Random post to help get to 1000.

Finally caught up on the rest of this thread. What a roller coaster ride.

Anyone else get free fireworks shows from their neighbors last night. It was very fun to sit by a campfire in the backyard watching everyone burn their money in colorful loud fashion.
Yep. Pretty much everything but sparklers has been banned here so it's better to save money and not risk getting fined.

I know there's a seperate MMA thread not too far down from this one...but shit, this thread's for everything right? Who do you MMA/UFC fans have winning the Weidman/Machida fight? I'll be rooting for Machida, but I fully expect Weidman to dominate.

Oh Jesus, Rain. First 3 chapters were decently fun and interesting. 4-6 started to drag. 7 and 8 were some of the most boring things I've ever played. Then that ending. That drags on. And on. And on. And on.

5.5/10 do not recommend.
I figured it would seem great coming off of Doki, Towerfail, and Putty Squad. Maybe Tomb Raider's to blame. But at least you finished it.

Yep, a lot of friends that live on the lake not too far from here. Tons and tons of fireworks, guns, burgers (with mayo) and beers. I'd hate to see some of those firework receipts because I went crazy one year. It's very easy to spend waaay too much money on them without realizing it.

It seems silly to separate the threads. I thought it was fine the way it was. Oh well.
Thats because some CAGs have no sense of humor. I thought it was perfect but there's always a tattle tell. Well now that we have RPG here will get the updates sooner than later.

I'm sure Frisky didn't bring it to the mods attention but whoever did is lame.

I think there's plenty of us who will contribute. But yeah, rpg is always on his shit when it comes to the store/blog. Props to him.

And I dont really think anyone alerted mods to be honest. Io comes to the PSN thread time to time, and he probably just happened to visit during/right after the 200 post off topic discussion and noticed it.

Thats why I just watch everybody burn their money like Zimm. In our area we don't get the illegal fireworks so if you get caught it's a $1000 fine. People get tickets every year so fines don't stop people.

Well I'm glad io is around cause he seems very laid back and wasn't coming at us being a prick like some mods on the past. We got a good community in this thread.

Yeah you have to cross into SC around here to get the good ones. But even the people who do are rarely fucked with. I mainly see people get in trouble within city limits, but that's never stopped people from putting on a show.

Yeah my daughter is a rock star and knocked out 3 battles each up to round 44 and then she says she keeps dieing. I only have up to 45 unlocked, so yeah she is a boss. She didn't star them all (10x) but she ranked each up (3x) so that's good enough for me. Yeah i def am trying to get my girls to either do chores or help these boring grinds. They are kids so they have more patience than me, or probly not, but they can endure boring lengths of gameplay better than I can. If I am spending my time playing a game, I better be having fun damnit. also we totally got a sitter and are going to the bubble rave tonite. woot. and i wish we had an 18/yo. my oldest is only 14, but she hates video games so I have to get my 11y/o to do them for me ;) The oldest is always reading books or going out with friends.

also im in saint louis, the #1 ranked city in usa for availability of fire works, lol. and top 3 i think for cheap beer.

It is 15 mins from east stl downtown to farmland rural so even tho they are 'illegal' in the city, everyone just goes to the suburbs and picks them up cheap and legal. We live on dead end street so we don't have any cops come down here anyway unless something serious happens, but usually there are no problems shooting off a bunch of stuff. Our neighbor caught his backyard on fire last year and had to get the hose, but no one burned any houses, so yeah its all good...

Anybody wanna trade wins or something in SFxT? I can't even find a ranked game now.
although I'm sure you figured this out already, if you picked up sfxt on ps3 you can farm your own wins on vita.

I'd be happy to knock some games out tonight, I'll look for ya.

Nah. I only have it on vita. Makes sense, though. I guess I could "rent" it.

EDIT: ho-lee fuk. The ps3 trophies are way more grindy.

how much does it cost for a babysitter to watch as many kids as you have?

Haha we already said we are naming her electric fusion omega or something crazy if born at the rave, lol.

n yeah, my 14y/o and her friend are gonna babysit. We have never paid for a babysitter, i doubt we could find one.

The only problem with that plan is that my oldest often goes to sleep before the two youngest, but it is only going til 2am so it shouldn't be too crazy late. This pink haired chic that is driving said she is down to do a show with us too,  We will see whats up after 6 hours of techno bubbles. but i digress. i'm gonna go grind some more elderly man machine gun xp in rof. or try to teach my daughter how to do it, she's a boss.
