Whatever, $399 and $75 to spend on a game(s) is a great deal. It's still to much
You sound pretty but hurt. Of course it sits unopened, their have been no new releases for either consoles worth playing them for, just wait until September, October, and November hit. This deal is most likely aimed at those people who haven't yet bought an xbox one and are trying to convince them to get an X1 with this offer."Offer valid ONLY xbox live account holder receiving this offer"
I just picked up an Xbox One the other day and it sits unopened. I have been debating whether or not to keep it or return it. I did not receive this offer despite having a live account since the original xbox days and spending WAY too much on digital games/content over the years (2 320gb drives worth). Who knows what triggered the deal, but it only goes to the "very best customers". In reality this may be a completely random promotion but only offering it to select people is a good way of saying you to every one who has been a customer and did not receive the offer. Running a promotion this way really makes me do a double take about how a Microsoft is doing business. I am not one that is going to sit and cry about not getting a deal but I think this makes my decision whether or not to return the Xbox One pretty easy. I might just stick with my PS4 and Wii U this generation unless Microsoft gets their shit together.
I don't know, I'm a gold member who doesn't have an Xbox One and never received this offer. So only available to gold members...doh
Sorry but you chose to buy the system on release, you're not exactly owed anything. You basically paid to be one of the first to own and use the system. Just saying. (Unless you owned a 3ds at launch that's a little bit different and even then Nintendo didn't really have to do it).How about some appreciation for the customers who bought Xbox Ones one day one, despite being weighted down by that $100 brick known as the kinect.
How was the kinect a brickHow about some appreciation for the customers who bought Xbox Ones one day one, despite being weighted down by that $100 brick known as the kinect.
That's the opposite of how incentives work. You bought the system, which means you didn't need an incentive. The sole purpose of this deal is to sell systems to those who are on the fence. How about some appreciation for the customers who bought Xbox Ones one day one, despite being weighted down by that $100 brick known as the kinect.
Yes.What are they gonna say "this deal is for our middling customers!"?
I don't know; it sounds like you're crying to me (and most likely others who read your post)."Running a promotion this way really makes me do a double take about how a Microsoft is doing business. So many whiners and complainers here. Do people really not know how incentives work? I wonder if it is because Microsoft is doing it...Maybe they should have given this to the loyal customers that bought XB1 on day one. MS your really pissing me off lately.

You didn't get shafted. You got to play it on day one. If that wasn't worth it to you, you shouldn't have bought it on day one.I am more than satisfied with my day one purchase but the buyers like myseld did get shafted in some way, whether it be free games or this. Just stating the obvious. Day One customers deserve better IMO.
Sorry, but I never said I was "owed" anything. I said they should show some appreciation for the customers that stuck with them in spite of all their recent bullshit. That is not to say they have to, just that they shouldn't alienate their most loyal customers.Sorry but you chose to buy the system on release, you're not exactly owed anything. OT: I didn't get this offer either but I don't have the money for an Xbox One now anyway. I'll be waiting till Black Friday when there are some worthwhile games on the system to pick one up.
It's not a matter of incentives. It's a matter of maintaining a relationship with your customer base and not alienating them by making them regret buying your console when they did. That's the opposite of how incentives work. Can't handle an opinion? Get off the internet. You're the one actin' like a bitch here.Aaaaaaaaaand here comes the whining. I knew it would start on the first page of this thread. Immediately after I read the title, I knew it. They're coming...
Can't help but agree. I bought mine day one and have no regrets whatsoever. Seems like I'm in the minority though. You didn't get shafted. You got to play it on day one. If that wasn't worth it to you, you shouldn't have bought it on day one.
That's usually how it works in being an early adopter, Nintendo's 3DS ambassador program being a major exception. If you want to have a bent nose about it, then sell your console and be done with it.Yes i did choose poorly. I can whine if I want tho and will, deal with it. Doesn't change the fact that many XBOX FANs already bought an XB1 and this kind of promotion just goes to show MS don't care of about early adopters, its all about the here and now.
Guess how many XB1 games i have bought since the 3 launch titles? None. Guess how many i have pre-ordered? None.
Well the Xbox 360 has sold like 60+ Million and the Xbox One is around 6 Million so there's still plenty of fans out there that don't own an Xbox One.....Yes i did choose poorly.
