Same. Plus if I can hop in at night I will get in a much better bracket. This last event I hopped in after a subevent ended a whole day and a half after the beginning of the event as a whole and I got into a great bracket. I scored 76k and was #8 whereas I recall a random reporting barely breaking top 50 with a score like mine in his!
Im at 5 for blue on steve, so that sucks for me. Why cant Red be the easy reward? Was it during the last event? I dont remember, I just know I dont really want the yellow too much. 1 would be fine....
This is correct. The event description says there are new nodes every day, so I'm going to assume at this point that they'll flip at noon eastern tomorrow.

Yikes. That is a tough call. I feel like no matter now easy of a bracket you get in starting Wednesday is going to be tough to get to the top.
I think I'll just have to wake up an hour early and knock out a few nodes.
Ugh I need to jump on that, but I have 5 blue for steve so unsure how hard Id have to work for the yellow.

I don't really even use him right now actively. I still basically just use Thor's Yellow and Green to do some quick wipes of the field.Can I borrow your Steve Rogers for the event?
Really before all this my Steve was ok. I rarely used him because of how I felt with Cap. Got a blue token from a heroic, and just leveled him up. Now all these progression rewards he's looking good & Im using him as much as I can. All I need is 1 red & 1 yellow & I'll have the full power set I want for steve. Funny with all these progression rewards Im looking at those 2 powers exactly. Great when it works out that way.
That is why my Hulk is still 164. It costs 5208 just to get him two more levels to max.
I left hulk at 151 & havent looked back at him. Just did, I have a soft cap of 153....only 4696....I should just max that out...
Yeah I like Hulk because of tanking and now he also heals faster so he is a good fodder character with tons of health but not much use beyond that usually.
It's because you never use his green, right? His strike tiles can be ridiculous. He's lousy when paired with someone who has a better use for his colors. When you match him up with anyone with multidamage (OBW's matches, multiple attack tiles, etc.), you can really chew through opponents to set up for the 40% instakill red. He was really useful in the Balance of Power because of that red.
I can see that about Punisher, but that is the thing, I have multiple characters that have better uses for his colors I feel. Bah whatever, he will just sit at 105 for a long while I bet haha
She will be useful in the next PvE for sure, that is how they do it but I feel in the long run she will be very helpful. Having a strong defense against defense tiles is great and also future proof. If they later introduce a character like Daken but instead with protect tiles, aka some sort of 3* Bullseye, then she will be soooo helpful!
I dropped 150ish spots over night, played two rounds and got 100 back. I think I made the most ground when then Psylocke event was ending, of course that didn't help my rank there.
Yeah I went to bed at #1 and woke up at like #50 or so. I am really struggling to hold the top #20 now.
Carol's move set looks really promising though, much more than another Lazy 3*. I hope we all can push enough to at least get the Alliance reward though. Not only do I want it but that means if next event is something worthwhile, then we all have one to work with at least (plus it is getting harder and harder for me to stay in top 20). I agree though, I dislike these kind of events the most as they feel the most grind-y.

My highest level nodes are all 198's which are fairly reasonable when I have 166 Thor, 164 Hulk and then my boosted 200 something Steve. Problem is that node at max is worth about 420 points and so it isnt even worth the long battle and lost health. This event really is getting on my nerves because I want the rewards badly but the grind is atrocious. Plus as an Alliance we keep getting so close and even break #100 occasionally but never actually hold it. Ugh.
The grind is horrible. I played last night because I had some nodes that were giving ~1k points. Luckily they were the essential steve nodes, so the levels were fairly low. The Yelena/Goon/Venom node is giving 1k points right now but naturally its hard as hell to beat. Maybe 1/3 times I cant do it.
I think people's nodes are refreshing at different intervals like I said so when we feel like we get ahead, then shortly after other people get high scoring nodes and rocket past us.
This event is weird. When nodes reset, I drop down to the upper 200s, sometimes 300s (right now 296, because I haven't been able to put any time in today yet). Then I grind my way back up into the 50-100 band, and that's assuming the nodes are manageable. Then hope this cycle happens in my favor when the event ends.

I dont understand the whole nodes reset at certain times for certain people. Im trying to rubberband but thats not helping me at all.
You need to work on that, he's actually useful. The purple skill isnt great, but its useable. The passives are actually working a lot better than I ever thought they would.
