I was gonna make fun of Stotch because I undercut him on Amazon on Rayman Legends. But it looks like his copy sold as well, and he pocketed anywhere between 3 to 5 cents more than I did. So I guess he got the last laugh.
I actually removed that listing because it was a mistake. My copy sold on Monday, and I didn't realize it so I relisted for a couple bucks less. My first copy sold for $17+3.99 shipping.

Played a little Crimsonland (jury is still out, but I only played a tiny bit. I can say this: jkam, stay away!!), played the Spelunky Daily Challenge on Vita and run into a bug that put me in the leaderboard for the next day (which had started mid-game) and was able to play it again even, but that score didn't take. I did get to Hell for the first time in a while but didn't make it. Then I played Destiny with a friend - definitely more fun with friends - and then some more Pinball Arcade PS4. I got the wizard goals for Bride but when I look at my total it's not really any higher. I think some of the trophies I already had dropped in value? That is annoying!

Pretty good day of gaming. More than I usually do.

About the only one I found that was insufferable was the Royal Tenenbaums.

Also I know I said no movies older than me, but there are a couple exceptions. Star Wars and The Shining are good. The Shining is one of my favorite movies ever.

Also, please explain to me the appeal of Fantasy football, I just don't get it. You build a team apparently, and as the player score points in the real world they get points in your game right? But no player is an island, in order for that 1 player to score it required dozens of actions by his real team members who are not on your team.
I've hated Fantasy sports for a while. I remember I did a pretty serious Fantasy Football, Basketball, and Baseball season with some friends a several years ago. I found myself cheering for Kevin Garnett to score 50 points and 20 rebounds but still lose to the Pacers and Peyton Manning to throw 6 TDs but still somehow lose to the Dolphins.

It changed the way I followed and cheered for my teams, and I didn't like it. So after the first year I stopped. Also constantly following up on injuries, day-to-day schedules, and pitching rotations is a huge pain in the ass.

I feel sorry for those of you for whom Star Wars is older than you are. You missed the opportunity to experience Star Wars when nobody thought a movie like that could possibly be good. And then we saw it and WOW.

I'm gorging on FFX HD on PS3 while I unlock difficulties on Smart As, after a hard day's work.

Soccer game was alright. The game itself was boring, but the setup and atmosphere was cool. At one point a "Daniel Bryan" chant broke out through the whole park, and that was followed by a "Yes!" chant. Final score was 1-0, we all thought it would go to PKs. They announced that there would be no extra time, just PKs to determine a winner after 90 minutes. Then some asshole on AS Roma scores in the 89th minute.

Here's a pic from our seats:

I think fantasy works better on football. fuck fantasy basketball and baseball, those are not worth it.

I saw all three Star Wars movies in the theater. I'm a big Natalie Portman fan tho.

Fantasy football works because it's once a week...maybe twice if you got a player in a Thursday game. Unless you're in a super competitive league, you can set your lineups one day during that week, check Sunday morning, and go. Fantasy baseball and basketball are every fucking day. And Jesus does it get old after like the second day.

3D Bluray support is coming in the next PS4 update, for the .001% of the world that would actually give a shit about something like that.
I have a 3D TV. I only buy 3D movies when they're super cheap and it's a movie I wanted anyway. That being said, I think I have...4? The only one where the 3D really makes me say wow is the Doctor Who 50th special. I played Uncharted 3 in 3D for a little bit and that was cool, but eventually gave me a headache.

I only got the 3D TV because I wanted this model and the same thing, but with 3D support was actually cheaper. Definitely wouldn't pay extra or seek out 3D.

I do find it funny that I somehow end up seeing the parody movie before the actual thing it is parodying, The aforementioned Mafia!, and I watched and enjoyed Robin Hood: Men in Tights years before I saw Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and I recently watched ye olde The Adventures of Robin Hood from 1938, in color no less, Errol Fynn is da bomb.

I like aspects of 2001, the presentation of the moon is eerily accurate considering it was before the moon landing, but that ending...yeck. Technically proficient, but just so obnoxiously obtuse and overlong.

So I know you guys here probably get tickets to this all the time so it's not a big deal for you, but I'm so excited and I told my hubby and his response was so lackluster that I had to tell someone who would appreciate it. I am getting tickets for E3 next year!!! I'm so excited, I literally looked like this emote when I was told -> :whee:

Sony needs to get the suspend feature on the PS4 ASAP. It has been long enough.
I didn't realize Xbone already had this. Considering Sony was bragging about it long before release of the PS4, it's definitely time they get that feature going.

The ending is no doubt the worst part of the film, both because it's overly long and entirely incomprehensible, but I still love the film for the first 90% of it.

E3? You have to be insider to go that. You know someone in the industry?

You looked like a bouncing ball, with detached arms flailing around? The mental picture to me is disturbing.

And to snakey, well...

I would never go to E3, gross. Way too many nerds and Snakeys walking around. Cool for you, but I couldn't do it.

I bet in less than ten minutes either Snakey or Moose...or both, will announce they're going to E3 next year.

Departed Spoilers

It's been a LONG ASS TIME so don't quote me, but I'm almost positive that Chinese Jack Nicholson wasn't an informant for the Chinese FBI. Also, that dude that killed Leo, where the fuck did he come from? And I also don't think there was a Chinese Chick Who fucks Leo and Matt in Infernal Affairs either. Isn't that a huge deus ex machina that she just randomly and haphazardly fucked the 2 dudes in Boston who are basically mortal enemies? Don't quote me on any of this because it's been so so long. Maybe I should watch them both again.
I actually don't mind that they mind Nicholson's character an FBI informant. Part of that comes from the real life mobster they based the American version's character on (also an FBI informant) and part of it is to explain why he would ever keep tapes of conversations with his mole within the department. Otherwise he's just some weird dude that wears a wire to his own illegal activities. Nicholson being an FBI informant also gives Damon some added motivation to betray him and try to create a clean slate for himself.

The girl they're both sleeping with is a bit of Hollywood BS, sure, although I'm guessing Scorses would say it's "something something converging paths something something" but it's not really a deus ex machina since it's not responsible for the ending (either way the Damon will get a copy of the tapes to convince him to meet up). In neither movie are the women important to the main plot.

The dude that killed Leo most likely came with the other cop that was killed. Leo had called that guy in an attempt to get in touch with Wahlberg and I would assume that he brought the other guy with him as backup if he couldn't get in touch (or try to get in touch) with Wahlberg.

I wouldn't say the ending is perfect by any means but I don't think there's anything substantially different from the original material that puts one above the other unless you have a preference for certain actors or for some reason like the terrible music in Infernal Affairs.

Fantasy football is the only one I ever do. I love the NFL and it makes other games more meaningful for me to watch. If one of my players were say playing against the Packers I wouldn't go as far as to cheer for them. Its just some good ol' competition between friends.

dude that's super rad. I have always wanted to go. Grats!

The Catcher in the Rye, The Hobbit, Anthem, 1984, The Giver.
Love 1984. Animal Farm would also be up there for me. Those are two books that got me on the path to studying political theory, even though I'll never use it in life.

And Taylor Swift is in that Giver movie soooo...shitty movie, confirmed.

The Children of Hurin in fiction, Beyond Good and Evil in non-fiction. Many more, since the time many spend here in movies, I spend in books.

Animal Farm is on my list of shame. If you like 1984 read Anthem by Ayn Rand. The Giver is like a young adult version of both of them.

Thing that drives me nuts about Clerks, some other Kevin Smith movies, and lots of other movies in general is when the dialogue is spit out way too quickly.  As if these characters have something that witty to say a split second after another character finishes their sentence.

Drives me insane.  Lots of TV shows do it too to fit all their dialogue into 21/42 minute timeframes.

Please girl... I go to that like 3 or 4 times a year.

Reading is a lot like the games you play. You just move from left to right, up and down, with very little challenge.
How's that Velocity Ultra plat coming along? I'm sure Hyperdimensions Neptunia 2 and Hatsune Mika Project Diva are taking all of your time, but surely you can squeeze in a couple hours for non-terrible Japanese games.
