  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.

Do the different races/genders have different dances? I rolled a human female but her dance was kind of lame, I might change for release if there are better dances.

I think the best part was when myself, two friends, and probably 12 other randoms out of nowhere decided to sit in a circle. Only thing we were missing was a bonfire and some marshmallows.

 
I also like bringing one of the purple balls or soccer ball to the middle of Tower. Within a couple minutes you'll have a group of random people playing with the ball.

Just made it to Level 5 where I'm finally starting to get the hang of the menu system - especially upgrades. The story isn't blowing me away but it's fun to play anyway.

All these MMOs since WoW have failed because there's either no dancing or it's just no good.

 
At least Destiny unlocks should carry over to the full version. (otherwise, why else would I be able to unlock gear that requires a level higher than 8?)

I have no idea what max level is supposed to be, so I could be horribly mistaken. Tower alone is filled with fun.

Feels like Halo 2 mixed with Borderlands so far and I'm loving it. I wasn't going to buy it, but the beta has sold me. I just wish they didn't take out voice commands for a little extra p. I'd love to switch weapons without opening a menu like Skyrim Kinect.

Max level seems to be level 20. Max level items for sale are level 20 from what we've seen and the speaker for the Guardian has a currency that you obtain for gaining experience after level 20. Either you can keep leveling up after 20 and get the currency as well as levels or the leveling stops and just get the currency. I'm leaning towards the latter, with level caps going up with DLC.

 
Well Destiny is my first MMO then. I was liking this game until I get randomly logged off. So you mean to tell me there is no way to play the campaign offline?

It seems to stop at 233 but I have no idea why. I have seen at least 20 level 233's but nothing higher. It's just where the devs decided people should stop playing and do something else, like eat lunch.
 
Played some of the Destiny Beta last night. Only enough to get through the story missions and make it to level 5, but it's enjoyable. I was resistant to the hype since it seemed a lot like Borderlands and I am not sure I could do another one, but it's different enough to stand out. Played it on 360 and the only worry there is player base in the future.

Biggest gripe so far is the enemies respawn a bit too quickly, though that may be a function of the beta (presuming they want to encourage higher levels, quicker).

Also, turning left to right after sprinting is ridiculously slow. And after playing Titanfall, it is a bummer that you can't pull up on ledges. Or run on walls.

Oh I don't have the details in front of me but there's supposed to be something going on today where you can get a cosmetic upgrade that will carry over to retail.

I'm up to 5 too. From what I've played I can say that there's enough of a Halo playstyle and other interesting stuff going on that I could get hooked on the game, but it's not enough to make buy day one or for me to grab an X1 or PS4.

So if I do end up buying, I'll be stuck on the PS3 (gave up Gold sub a ways back).

Anyway, the enemy respawn seems ok. Only seems to be an issue if you want to camp in a single area or explore that same area . I just look at it as more XP. Battle rifle or whatever it's called feels just right; shotgun's feels like a necessity in the underground areas

Enemy design isn't exactly wowing me though. Guess I miss the chatterboxes (grunts).

Ain't gonna lie, but hearing the enemy call me "demon" piqued my interest in the Halo universe. And I'm still not finding enough to care about Destiny's universe (I'm old school but still want a good story with my shooter).

Bungie blog says 2 hours, so maybe they raised it so that more players could make it. I think you only have to play during that time. I don't think you even need to go to the moon.
 
The videos showcasing destiny really don't do it justice. The game just feels so good (apart from the worst jetpack controls I have ever experienced). The melee has so much weight behind it. The shooting feels tight. The game subliminally encourages you to kill with critical hits by showcasing a beam of light erupting from an enemies severed head. It's all just extremely satisfying.
Never thought I would be part of the majority evangelizing this game. Big thanks to Ryuukishi for the Beta code.
Here's hoping the mission structure will be as fulfilling as the combat.
 
Can anyone here that has purchased one of the 500gb 360 hard drives recommend them? Just wanna make sure no one ran into problems since its not an official one.

 
We've been playing on Moon since it started. Then mission is short, but you can explore everywhere. I found 1 gold chest. My friend couldn't see it.

The mission was short, but it was sweet. The Moon in general so far has been awesome! I've also found one golden chest, located near a big crater/hole.

 
I went and started exploring, and my goodness it's huge... I've passed through 4 areas so far and explored so much that i don't even know how to go back. 

 
Same happened to us. We tried to follow the objective back, but it just led us deeper. There were a lot of big doors that look like they'll open during a group mission.
