Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice

Aww, I was hoping for Adrian Grenier to play Aquaman.
Dude! You totally stole the joke I was going to make!

Jason Momama was a badass in Bullet to the Head and New 52 Aquaman is a badass, he's a good choice...except when they call him King of the Seven Seas or some other stupid name.

Why are you so invested in how Wonder Woman will turn out? Are you a huge fan of the character or something?
Because there have been SO many attempts to bring Wonder Woman back to the screen and they need to get it right this time or else we will never see another female super hero movie!!!

To be honest, while it had its problems, sure, I actually didn't mind the WW costume in the 2011 pilot. Obviously, a big budget movie version will need to be far more detailed, but in the end it will probably be a mix of the classic bikini, Xena, and the New 52 look. I expect either a long skirt or leggings, no completely bare legs.

It's hard to say what will happen to this new version of WW. As long as it's not all black outfit, then I am ok for now with it. I am waiting for TMZ or Aintitcool news to post the leaks as it's gonna happen.

DC isn't stupid enough to mess with the classic look too much, though I do expect a lot of inspiration from Xena as well as Sif in the Thor movies.

I wouldn't rule out a leather jacket and black pants for her civilian garb, though.

This is why there's a V rather than a VS: 'cause it's a team up! Really stupid reasoning.

WB released this pic of Ben Affleck as Batman. It's not so bad, and it does look like Ben Affleck got really chunky for the role. That's what happens when fanboys are still gushing over Miller.

I think its the fact that when Kevin Smith said it was nothing ever seen before, nobody had ever seen Frank Miller's take on it before. I think this version of the Batcowl is a rather gritty and truer take on Batman. Having the 'ears' protruding obscenely high do make it a hindrance in some way. Keeping them protruded 'enough' to get the point across works for me. And Ben Affleck is a serious enough actor that if he's being given a chance to take Batman seriously, and it's the Frank Miller take, then he'll get it right.

First official Wonder Woman image...

And description of the teaser trailer shown at Comic-Con:

Batman is standing on a Gotham rooftop in the rain. His costume isn't what we've seen already. It's big and bulky, like his armor in The Dark Knight Returns. His eyes light up, solid white. He's moving a tarp, revealing the bat signal He turns it on and the camera tracks up to the sky. Superman is there, hovering in the light, and he doesn't look happy. His eyes light up with heat vision as he glares at Batman."

I assume the whole image is in a sepia tone filter and that the outfit has more colors than bronze in it.

In any case, I like it. A very good WW costume.

Well I don't know now that I have seen the official image.  Some of you said this could work for GG if she had some bulky armor similar to Xena.

Wonder Woman Pilot 2011

I don't get it... If they would have used the colors from the TV Pilot the new movie costume would have been great. I hate the dull colors.

I think that's just the filter they put on it to evoke 300. Kinda like the promo shot of the Batman suit they showed a while back.

I really like it, looks like Wonder Woman's alternate costume from Injustice. That blue and red is kinda cheesy anyway, I like the roman armor better

Her colors are the American flag. She was created in the same ultra patriotic vein as Captain America, so having her in dull colors is just ridiculous.

Wonder Woman by her very nature is a bright character.

I think that when the actual movie is released, Diana's armor will be the usual colors except dark, a similar palette as Superman.

Well anything is better then the usual BLACK outfits ....... I am glad for the most part movie costume designers have listened and have strayed away from black.

I like the darker color. The brighter color would be so out of place with the Batman and Superman costume.
She's supposed to be out of place... She's Wonder Woman! She's an Amazonian Princess from Themiscyra and has no prior knowledge of the world of man.

Captain America and Wonder Woman have the same color palate precisely because they're products of the 1940's. I couldn't imagine Captain America in those colors, so I don't really get why Warner Brothers thought it was a good idea to do that to Wonder Woman.

Yeah and it's not the 1940s anymore. Notice that in the marvel movies Kirby's original bright colors are a more muted realistic look. The color on the pilot outfit may be truer to the original but it's cheesy as hell. Get over it.

As for the poster who pointed out the patriotism, her origin story, the amazonian princess bit, not the military side stuff, has no real reason for patriotic u.s.a. colors. Hence no need for the star bloomers and what not. Given she's not from the states it'd be even weirder to have her in something like that. Again, there's some stretching of credibility that's too far when trying to make a successful movie. As in why the hell is some weirdo from a mystical island free from man showing up decked out like captain america?

It's a fucking comic book movie. How more cheesy/unrealistic can you possibly get than that?! Having her in a costume that looks good is not going to tank the movie. I just think that if they're going to finally have a film with Wonder Woman in it then they should at least try to make her look like Wonder Woman and not Xena the Warrior Princess.

I agree that it needs more color, but not as much as that 2011 abomination. That's too bright for the MoS universe that's been created. I'm sure a happy medium exists -- it just hasn't been shown yet.

Wow, Wonder Woman just looks like a ripoff of Xena, two VERY different characters. No wonder Lynda Carter is still the best on screen version of Princess Themyscria. Of course, you should've expected this since this IS the sequel to Man of Steel, an awful Superman movie.

I actually would be fine with the 2011 costume if given a legitmate chance, but Kelley had to be in charge and make it Single Female Amazoness CEO.
